Too much going on

It's been awhile since I've posed on here. I've been trying to figure out what I could post and what photo's I could find or take for this.

On July 11, 2013, I was elected as Interim President for The Applique Society. I've been working on getting The Applique Society back on track. I believe I have one of the best Board of Directors that are out there. This group of ladies is awesome and I see a great future for the organization.

Today, I was thrilled to find a couple more of my friendship blocks waiting for me at the quilt group meeting.

They are coming in slowly, but I'm liking what I see so far.

This last weekend, I had a family reunion. My family is in Oklahoma and Las Vegas, so I don't get to see them much. I think at times I over did my chattering to get my brothers enjoy their visit. Next time, I'll just keep my mouth shut and see what happens.

The last two weeks, I've been working on TAS and trying to get a hold of everyone to help out with…

Things at my house has gotten to be busy! I was doing great this week, till yesterday. I am on the Board of Directors for The Applique Society because I believe it is a great organization that is worth being a part of.

Yesterday was our board meeting, and all "hell" broke loose. Things are changing fast, and I'm in the front of it. (Not my choosing actually). Because of what is going on, I will not state how it has effected me till every chapter has been notified regarding the changes.

This last week I was able to get more quilting in! - Surprise, surprise!

I joined Charlie out on the swing over the weekend. She was thrilled! I was able to get a lot of quilting in with the weather being so warm. The cool breeze made it easy to sit and quilt.

I was getting more done around the leaf, and now I'm to the point of going around in a big circle. This should go fast because I use two or three needles at a time. The only thing that is stopping me is the weather, the hotter it…

Another beautiful day

Another week has gone by since I have posted on here. One of these days (I keep telling myself) I will be on top of it and post daily.

Last week when I went around to water my flowers - you wouldn't believe what I found! A mushroom of all things!! Don't worry - I don't eat mushrooms I don't know anything about!

After I took the photo, I took it out of my pot. I was surprised at how pretty they are. But it's not something I want in my plants.
Last weekend we enjoyed the time relaxing, or what we would consider relaxing. We cleaned house as usual, went to the casino and then came home and watched a few old movies. One was "How the West was Won." I remembered that movie from when I was a kid. This time I looked at it as a genealogist who wishes she knew more bout the life of her ancestors. Then I looked at it, the way most of us would, who saw the moving in the 60-70's. "Dang, Robert Preston is gone, George Papard is gone, John Wayne is gone, (need…

Esther's Blog: WOW: Calm after the BOM?

This is an awesome quilt! I'm going to think about doing this one! It will keep things going around here, not that I need another project!
