Delivered My Quilt To QOV

The way today started out, I was beginnng to wonder how bad my day would turn out. You know, those days when nothing goes right.

I was up on time, knowing I needed to leave by 9:15 am to be in Olympia by 10:30 am. I was getting ready when mom called. She wanted to go with me, if her quilt group wasn't meetng today. I told her that would be fine. She called me back to say she wasn't going, her quilt meeting was on. I then rushed out of the house to get a couple things done on the way.

First stop was the bank. I thought it would be quicker going through the drive in. There were two cars already there in two of the lanes. I got behind one inthe first line. I sat waiting.....and waiting.....and nothing was going on. I waiting some more. Nothing. So, i backed up and parked in the driveway. Went into the bank, deposited the water money. Looked out the window and the two cars were still there in the drive thru. I got back in my car, and it was now 9:50 am. So, I passed on stoping to get a tea for the trip up there. Headed for the freeway.

Arrived at Ruby Street Quilt Works at 10:30 am. To my surprise they hadn't started the meeting yet. I showed off the quilt, because I was told to. I signed up more helping at the fair grounds in Olympia. Our meeting was done by 11:16 am. That was unusual. So, now my day was getting better after all!

Got home, had lunch and watched "Perry Mason." Called Cherry to see if she wanted to walk. We walked 4,000 steps before calling it quits. It was too hot to be walking and Patrick texted he was on his way home.

While I waited, I took a photo of the rose we bought in dads memory. It is so pretty!!

Patrick got home and we headed to the casino to get our free cast iron pots. It's smaller than I wanted but is perfect for my sour dough breads. We didn't have bowling so we stayed to play.....15 mins worth, then grocery shopping for tomorrow.

Got home and relaxed. Decided to watch "Ant Man" that we recorded. We hadn't seen it before, so figured if we liked it we'd think about seeing the new one coming out. To or surprise it was good and we will go see then next one.

I worked on the cross stich while watching TV. I need to work on this months piece so I can roll it to get the bottom part done. So I started working in the top right area. I enlarged the pattern an laughed at myself because I thought he messed up on the pattern. Then I realized it was the border piece. It needed the stitches all the way down the side.
