Patrick was up early today, and wanted to get started. So, we headed out to the casino then picked up chlorine for the well water. We picked Phillip up and drove him back here to get his motorcycle.
So, with constantly going - I was still able to take photos! I love taking pictures of nature!
I took this one the way back home. LOL - I was going for the clouds and got the wires in there as well. This is about a mile from the house. We live just outside of town.
Was out among the trees.
If you look close, it looks like some woodpecker has been putting holes in the tree.
It's so much fun when trees are in a row!
These are awesome! I loved being around the big old oak trees! They are just so much fun to be around. Love the one we have in our yard.
One of the trees roots, that I found to be interesting.
Then after a long day of coming and going, Patrick took the time to water the garden. I decided to see about getting some applique pieces put on my blocks. I'm sure you know how that goes - planning and then doing are two different things.
I took the pieces outside on the table.
All ready to go! Then I pulled out some threads, checked to see what I needed to do to get the basket on this block done. I figured I needed another strip before I could work on the basket sides.
Ended up sewing that one down. Then I did the back basting and basted the two sides of the basket on.
This shows what I'm talking about. I wasn't worried about the pieces being "exact" to the pattern, as you will notice. I just needed it as a guide. BUT I did use the sides for the basting, and that should complete the basket just right.
While I was doing that, Charlie was enjoying our swing! I had to cover it with old sheets, because of the three cats in the neighborhood. They were putting so much hair on the swing! Got tired of cleaning it off. So, I put the sheet over it. Now their claws won't put holes in the seat cushions either!
Good news - I've finished another block, so now I just need 5 more of the Honey Bee blocks. They are coming along nicely! I do get tired of working on them, but since there is only 5 more to do, I'll kick butt and get them done! lol
You can see, I'm still Happy Quilting!
This is a blog that shows my quilting, Brazilian embroidery, cross stitch, beading and more. It's a daily blog that shows how busy I can be with too many projects and how lazy I can get at times. Even boring at times. It was originally for my children who where miles away. Now, it's just a blog.
