Another Interesting Day At Moms

Patrick went golfing. I took the veggies that he had given me to take to moms. I had to go to physical therapy before the meeting. It ended up with me going to WinCo to get some tomatoes and I got some powered doughnuts (mini) for nibbling on.

I showed Bob the stack of veggies I had. He asked if he could take it all. I said sure, it was going to mom, and the ladies always forget to take the stuff. He was being nice and left some of the veggies for the ladies. I took it to moms after my appointment. Set them on the table. We had tacos for lunch. As it turned out, Nancy brought the tomatoes, so I made a wasted trip. I get so frustrated when that happens. I tell them I'm bring stuff and then someone else decides to bring what I said I would. Not my favorite thing to do. Penny brought a pattern for a baby quilt that we will do for Bob. Carmen and I picked out the colors and got it all done. We put them in kits and then passed them out. I had a cut dog, but when I went to take it, I found it was missing. I think Penny picked up my pattern and has both her's and mine. So, I will have to wait a couple weeks before I get it to work on.

After everyone left, Georgie needed help on doing a half triangle quilt in 9 patch. I showed her how to do it, and she pinned them so she could see what she needed to do when she got home.

Mom invited a new person to our group that lives in Stillwaters. She loves to piece, so I gave her a pattern I had for mom or Nancy to cut for a kit. She was going to see what she could do. I'm hoping it works out, because that would be a good way to use up some fabric. Fingers crossed.

After everyone was gone and mom was picking up, she found the veggies on the floor in the "dining" or quilt area. So, I took them over to the bench and sent Bob a text that he could have them since the ladies forgot to take what they wanted. Then I headed home to realize I forgot my pattern (that I think Penny took) and my bag. Ended up getting what I left behind. I also brought 2 tops that both Georgie and mom had finished. Mom said they need borders, so I will have to add the borders.

On the way home got a call from Debbie that Cindy was trying to call me. I called Cindy to find out a QOV gal wanted to present a quilt at the museum and was told they couldn't. She wanted to know what was up. I told her that we have had problems in the past of QOV members going to the museum to present quilts without coordinating it with the museum or our group. I told her that the director of the museum has had trouble in the past because we don't know if they are actually QOV members or people saying they are. If they want to present, they have to work it out with the museum on the day and time. Cindy wasn't happy with my answer, but she needs to realize it's a business and needs to be respected when it comes to presentations. After that call, I called Sam and found out it was her who told the gal they couldn't present because they some QOV groups don't get along. I laughed and said we just don't get along with Mossyrock, but the others are fine. I told her we had decided not to let other groups present because they were rude and just helped themselves into the museum. This is something that needs to be worked out. They may be charged for doing it, since we are part of the museum, we don't get charged. It's going to have to be a conversation to consider if other groups think they can come here to present. Then Debbie called back, and I explained everything to her. By that time, I was done. I had enough of worrying over all this stuff. I told Debbie that I left it with Sam and Chip about other groups and whether or not they will be charged. Since the museum pays our membership, they should really come through us.

So, I baked my bread when I got home. Then I considered I was done doing anything like Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!
