Final Day Of Garage Sale

This morning, I was out the door by 9:15 am. I arrived early and Colleen beat me there. Debbie showed up around noon. We stayed all day for the sale. It was slow. I was surprised at how much we made because we didn't have much in the way of people buying - at least that I saw.

Around 4 pm, a gal come in and bought half of the fabrics we had left. She was on video with her daughter, showing the fabrics to her on zoom. They picked them together. It took quite a while to get it done. All three of us were working it. We gave her some deals as well because they were doing it for WSU's medical center. Her daughter sews surgical caps, blankets and other things for their unit. So, she did good! It would have been over $500 more if we stayed with the prices. We marked everything down in half. We halved the prices because we didn't want to take all that back. When we were done, we left the odd fabrics and some of the other stuff like threads, with the grange.

We are planning to be in the next garage sale in February because we had a few people say they have more fabric they want to give us. Some are cleaning out their parents' fabrics etc. It works for us.

Mary came and helped out the last hour. We loaded the stuff in our cars and then went to Panda Express for supper. We must have chatted for over an hour. Then we unloaded at Colleen's. As I was pulling in the drive, I had a text from Patrick asking if I was okay. I think he really wanted his peanut brittle I was bringing home. lol

Does it count that I was selling quilting fabric; in order to say I was Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching?
