This morning, I was up and out the door for my PT appointment. I arrived on time. Bob and I talked about how things are going. The good news is that I think the new shoes and the slippers are working for now. I'm slowly getting there. I need to wear my brace when I travel on Thursday though.
Stopped at moms and gave her the binding I had. Told her it goes with one of the quilts that went to be quilted. She was working on a variation nine patch quilt top. It really looks good.
Came home after picking up some tea. Then I had the left-over sandwich from yesterday for lunch. It filled me up and that was a good thing!
We then headed up to Olympia for my pulmonary appointment. I dropped Patrick off at urgent care-Kaiser. Then I went to my appointment. It was short and sweet. I also have to add the appointment to my calendar for 6 months later.
I then went back to Kaiser to pick Patrick up - so I thought. I got to urgent care, and they led me to his room. I was hooked up for infusions for calcium. They took the blood tests, and he was still low, so they added more. This all started around 1:30 pm for him. He wasn't doing what they wanted. lol - the blood just didn't have better counts. So, we stayed and were finally let out at 8 pm. I ran my phone battery down so for the last 2 hours didn't have anything to do. We talked about having something for me to do in a bag in the car along with snacks and water. That way, we have what we need for the next time he has to go in. I know there will be more times, that's part of cancer. He just has so much going on and it's so hard to watch. He's growing older in front of me, and I can't do anything to help. I just have to sit back and watch. But he was in good health and did great. The doctor was surprised he didn't have symptoms. That's a good thing. He still golfs and does other stuff. He just doesn't like going far because of the symptoms he has from time to time.
We will be back up at Kaiser tomorrow. He has to take another blood test, and they will decide if he needs to go back in UC for more infusions before we leave. So, today wasn't my day and it wasn't a day to be anywhere near Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!
