Today, I slept in. Patrick was up, but I didn't want to get up.
I decided last night I would work on my panel quilts. So, I made sure I had the heater going down there. It was one of these foggy days, that make it cold all over.
I wanted to do something different. I don't like sewing, but in this case, I needed to. I got some fabric out to go with the QOV panel we have. I had the "just right" color of blue, but not much. So, I cut the size I needed with a strip of 6" left over. Then I got to work on the flying geese pattern. I get 2 geese done at one time, which I like to do. I don't care for the ones you do one at a time and then waste fabric for.
It took a few hours to get the geese done. There are 20 geese. I'm going to do a partial geese area. I will do another set of geese with the red. When I got all the geese done, I added the border. Remember, I need it to be 60 x 80" to have a quilt. I will be finishing that row of geese, then do another one with the red. I think. I'm doing this as I go. Seeing what I like and what I want to do. I don't have a lot of red, so I'm hoping I won't need it again. My problem is that I don't have any more of the blue. I will figure it out when I get there, I guess.
I needed to finish the pillowcases that I was working on about 2 weeks ago. I finished them off, now I need to find the quilts they go with. That will be another project. Then again, I have about 7 quilts in my back room that need to be labeled with the names of who made them. UGH.
At that point, I called it a day. I'm done. I at least took time and was Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!
