Things To Do!

Yep, there are things to do. I should think about doing a resolution but yeah, that doesn't work.

Today is New Years Eve. I think we are supposed to do something! I think we are supposed to stay up all night to bring in the New Year. I know everyone else is - but NOPE, not me. I pretty much did laundry and listened to my books.

Patrick had golfing at 11:30 am today, so I was on my own. I did make a trip into town to see my son. Then came back home. Patrick's gift arrived at Phils today and I had to go get it. lol

I know there are things to do. I know I need to get up and do them. Yet that didn't happen. So, here's what I need to do for the New Year - good luck if it gets done, but I have a long list I'm sure. Let's see what I come up with.

  • Panel quilts for QOV.
  • Cross Stitch Angel - that was started this summer.
  • Sophie beaded picture - which was started LAST YEAR!
  • Ornaments for 2026
  • Round Robin - That one has to get done, so really doesn't count.
  • Hummingbird (BE) embroidery - needs to be worked on a finished
  • Baby block for Bob - again that one should be done soon, so probably doesn't count.
  • Family History entries
  • Quilt that White on White quilt that's been ready for 15 years now.
Now I need to really think on what I have that is in need of finishing. I know I have more. The last time I cleaned out my sewing room, I came up with at least 15 projects of quilting down there. I could list them but truthfully, it's been so long since I looked that I would forget most of them. I keep thinking of the quilt that mom and Vicki designed for Rainy Daze Quilt Group. That was over 20 years ago now, I believe. I as working on 2 of those. I have the flower one that everyone did a block for. Think I have one more block to work on then I need to put it all together. I'm sure I have more. I know I got rid of a couple of them but not near as much as I should have. OH! Let's not forget my patriotic quilt that I was working on or even the basket blocks that are half done. THEN there is the $400 quilt kit I bought and haven't touched! Man! Was I ever crazy to get that! When the heck am I going to find time to do it?! Let alone do it!! That was one of the craziest things I ever did!

My Angel that I need to finish!! I really am about halfway on this. I seriously need to get back to it. I also have beading, which is my joy. So, why?, when I have the time, can't I think to do this or the beading. Instead, I sit and play games. I'm seriously crazy!

Even Patrick made me laugh the other day. He told me I'm like a dog who goes after squirrels. Not getting one of them! Yep, that would be me. I see a squirrel and go that way, then another one shows up and I'm off chasing that one. OH! Look! There's a third one! Then I get behind or sidetracked.  Now what, let's see where this takes me, off to do something else.

I have a mind of my own! I start something, try to put it away, and on the way, I find something else that needs to be done. So, I do that, but didn't make it to putting the first thing away. I come back later and figure out I didn't do what I was going to do and try again. Sometimes it gets done, sometimes, I get sidetracked yet again. OMG! You should see me when I have too much on my mind. I don't get anything done, just move it from one place to another because of those dang squirrels!!

In otherwards, I tried to work on my genealogy today, but got sidetracked by QOV emails. Once I did that, I went back to the laundry. AT LEAST I CAN do laundry and get it put away!

Not my day for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!
