This morning, I had to go down and cut batting and backing to take to Colleen this afternoon.
I was out the door and at moms about 10 minutes late. Sandy from Ocean Shores beat me to moms. We had a good visit with everyone. I was working on my rose piece. Mom and Georgie were asking about the quilts they are working on and are almost done with.
I worked on the beadwork on the leafy areas. The right side is almost done. I have the top and left side to do. Then it's done! It looks a little better than I thought it would. I'm liking it more the more I get done.
Was a block from Colleen's when Debbie called asking where I was. Told her at Colleens and she sent me off to the museum. The museum is closed and Ted's cousin was waiting for me. I was there in about 10 minutes. He gave me 15 applications for quilts. As I was getting ready to enter them, I found that they are from the Muckleshoot (sp) tribe in Auburn WA. So, I'm waiting to see what we will do. We contacted a quilt group up there that can handle them. Now we have applications for them. Debbie is going to get that done for us. So, I'm holding on the applications.
Stopped at Colleen's and picked up a quilt. Dropped off the quilt I got from mom today. So, chatted for a bit and came home.
Got home and Sophie was wanting attention. Once I got started with her, I didn't feel like doing anything else. I have more to work on, just need to get moving on them. Gave mom my quilt kit. Came home with some green fabrics that she didn't want to deal with since they were in a bag. I was okay with that, since some of it was mine.
I'm just happy that today turned out better than yesterday. I'm back to Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!
