Sew Day & Stitching

This morning, I took my time getting ready to go downstairs. Patrick had the fireplace going, so I didn't have to worry about getting it warmed up.

Colleen was first to arrive. Mom called today she couldn't make it. Then Peggy and Martha showed up. Both of them had quilt tops done. Martha needed a border to one of hers, so we cut some fabric for that. Then we got busy and getting the pillowcases done.

Thirteen pillowcases were completed today. Eight of those were for the 250th Anniversary quilts. I have them ready to go. The rolled-up quilt in the back, was a quilt given to us on the passing of a veteran. It was donated to us to give out. Since it was rarely used, I said we would take it.

After the pillowcases were done, Peggy had to leave. Colleen and Martha were here till 2 pm. Colleen was ironing and Martha and I pulled out the quilt she wanted to get the borders on.

She had everything already done, so we just had to add the blue and white borders. It didn't take but a hour to get them done. It was originally a square quilt. We needed it to be 60x80" so we added the borders on the top and bottom. Turned out better than I thought it would. I need to order material tomorrow, now that I'm looking at this.

Once they left, I came up and worked on ordering labels and panels. Then I got my bookkeeping up to snuff.

I decided to work on my cross stitching. I was about halfway working on it, when Scott came over and chatted for a good hour. So, my time on being able to get much done wasn't there.

I was able to get some of the hair done, but not much. I really do want to get started on the outlining and beading. The sooner I get this done; I can start on another one.

At least I was both Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!
