Got My New Sewing Machine Today

This morning, Patrick's nurses came. While they were with him, I was getting my stuff in the car to trade for my sewing machine. Then I walked 7 laps around the neighborhood.

Phillip asked me to get something at Safeway, so I left early to get to him. I said hi, dropped off his stuff and headed to Billie's Designer Fabric's in Chehalis. I had a 1:30 pm appointment for learning how to use my new machine and pay for it. I also picked up the Santa Claus embroidery quilt pattern. I'm planning on making that. It was on sale, and I noticed when I got home it was a CD pattern. I will borrow mom's CD converter when I go to her place. I may use it there or just bring it here. I had fun learning a lot about the machine. Has a ton of stuff and has me interested in doing other stuff as well. I love the patterns in the machine.

It's Topaz 40, and I really like it. Brought it home and have it set up. Trouble is that the room is a big mess, and I need to clean up the room before I can play with it. So, I will do that on Sunday, I think. I have quilter coming on Wednesday, so I need to clean it up by then at least.

Plenty to clean up at this rate. I have to put a few things away. I had to look for a couple things I couldn't find that go with the machine I traded in. I will take them tomorrow.

I played on my tablet for a while. Then came in here to find an email saying that got the stuff I asked for but the floss. So, I need to go to Michael's tomorrow and get the floss we need. I may take my extra stuff, but I want to have them use the right floss for the first time. I also decided I need to do a sample, so I'm going to take a few minutes tonight and get that done as well.

It's been fun, but I can't say it was Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!
