This morning, I got a few things done. I wanted to finish the sample for the cross-stitch class I was teaching today with the 4-H group.
I stopped at Billie's to drop off the stuff I didn't have the day before. Then I went to Micheal's and picked up the floss they didn't get. Once that was done, I went to the fairgrounds to get ready for the class I was to teach. I wasn't smart enough to take pictures but then it wasn't that easy to think about them.
The background is actually blue, but the lightening tonight is crap. I will try and replace it later. I finished this this morning and then took it to the 4-H classroom. I had 4 children under 10 years old. They were interesting but a little hard to teach. It took them a good half hour to figure out how to keep the thread on. Then it took time to get them to see the "block" they were working with. One of the boys got it and did a great job. I had one girl and she kept taking the thread out of the needle. Her brother had no interest at all. The other boy took a little bit to get going. He just got it down, when time ran out.
The second class was with a teenage girl. She got it really well. She was getting a lot done. Funny, but she was left-handed and dyslexic like me. I saw the "squirrel" come and go with her. But she did get a lot done. I taught the different "ticks" of the trade. I hope one or two bring something to the fair to be judged. They did a good job. They gave me a plant and a water bottle with the 4-H on it. I really like it.
Came home and started to play my war game. I got ticked off at the new leader of the group I'm in and I'm going to kill off all my farms. I don't need that kind of trouble. I may even quit it all together, now that Sux is gone. I have been trying to figure out how to get ahold of her. I do miss her. She's does a lot of beautiful work, and I want to see what she's up to. I miss her! I'm wondering what she's got going now in crafts.
As for me, I'm trying to stay positive and get a few things done. That will keep me Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!
