Semi-Busy Weekend...Happy VALENTINE"S DAY!

Since most will see this tomorrow - Happy Valentines Day!

I woke early - nothing new there. I got on the computer and did more "money making." I've actually been having fun doing the assignments.

When Patrick woke, we did what we normally do on Saturday. We spend a couple hours at the casino and then came home. I baked Patrick a Pineapple Upside Down Cake for Valentines Day. While it was cooking I was "money making" again.

We went out to Red Lobster and I will say, that was the best meal we had in a LONG time there! It was awesome.

Came home and I'm catching up on my games (smiling). Patrick took my tablet and I'm back to my laptop. lol

Last night I got frustrated with the method of thread for my cross stitch kit. Who ever figured out the way to keep track of thread...WAS CRAZY!! I wasted a lot of time going from the pattern, to the number on paper to the number on the card. There was a list of numbers in "column A and column B." Believe it or not, column A was on the right side.

I don't know if one can see this, but I put the numbers on the card, with two strands in each hole except for the top two holes on both sides. The numbers may be 210 with a 3815 number. I was more a pain in the rear figuring out where my color was. So, I brought up some of my older plastic cases and some paper cards.

I marked my old plastic - don't think they will make it one more time - plus I have new ones to replace them if I need to. I kept two in the back for the threads I wrapped.

I still have more to do, but decided I could get a lot more done by separating the floss and get a better way of numbering them. It will be a heck of a lot easier to find.

Part of the reason I did that was because of my bee (bottom). I had to take out some of the floss because I had the wrong color - picked the wrong one of the two strands. So, it was a pain when I had part of the bee coming out. There was threads that I had to hide that were coming out...another pain. So, today, I'm happy because I will finally get better organized then what the kit had me do. I want to get the other 3 that go with this, but if they do this, I may not. OR I'll just be better prepared and organize it better the first time!

Tomorrow I'm bowing on travel league and will be gone most of the day. Patrick gets to enjoy a day by himself. At least we did Valentines Day today to make up for tomorrow! lol
