A Busy Day Of Baking

This morning I pulled out the dough from last night that was in the refrigerator. It was frozen solid. I couldn't believe it! So, after I showered and had a few things going, like laundry, I got started on it again. This time I remembered the sour dough that was to go in it.

I made about 18 of them. I think I should have waited on the frosting till it cooled down a bit, but that's okay. Its sweet bread with cherries. I was surprised it wasn't sweet like cinnamon rolls. Patrick said they were okay. But he loves sweets, so I can see why he wasn't really thrilled with them. I liked the bread. When I had mine, I forgot about the frosting, so added that after. I have them boxed and ready to go to Phil and moms tomorrow.

I was cooking and cleaning all day. I tried to play some and got to for a bit here and there. I was going from one thing to another. Laundry got caught up a bit. The house got cleaned up and I was cooking or baking most of the afternoon.

It wasn't my day for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Watching Mariners Game

This morning, I was up early. Even when I had my "blinders" on. Patrick slept a bit longer.

I played on my tablet. I wanted to do something, but we had to leave around 11 am to get up to Olympia for my cardiologist appointment. We arrived on time and to my surprise was in on time. We talked about the medications I'm on and we are going to change things up. I have to talk to my doctor in 3 weeks, so will tell her what we talked about and see if Kaiser will do the shots or if I need to go through Providence for it. It's going to be interesting how this works.

We then went to Costco and picked up some things we needed. It was crowded today. But we did get through quickly. The long wait was the food line. Patrick got his pizza and I got the dog. I was thinking of a salad, but that didn't look all that great.

Stopped and dropped off food with Phil, then came home. I got started on making Date Bars (MIL's recipe) and then I made lasagna for "TV dinners." Patrick doesn't eat it, but I do. That will come in handy for the days Patrick isn't hunger and I'm trying to find things to eat. So, I made a small batch - about 6 servings. Tasted great when I was cutting them and getting them ready to freeze.

Once all that was done, I was done. We have been sitting here watching the Mariner's game for the past hour. Before that it was the space mission coming back to earth. The news was bothersome because they talked over the information coming from the station. We waited the hour and a half for them to get out of the capsule and then went to the game. We are doing pretty good today. Fingers crossed we win this one!

Which means I was nowhere near Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

A Busy Friday!

Today, I was ready to do something. I tend to walk around trying to find something to do. Patrick went to get blood work, and I played on the tablet for a while. Then I got laundry going. Once that was going, I started cleaning up a bit. Got the cat litter, since I forgot yesterday. Then I decided to back some bread.

I found a Sourdough bread book when I was cleaning out my cookbooks. I wanted to do a Sourdough French Bread, and it came out really good! I decided to do a "twist" to the French bread. It came out soft and good! Patrick let Scott know he could come pick up some bread. Teri came over instead. She sat and chatted with Patrick while I was on the phone with my cousin, Bryan.

I wanted to do some cross stitching today. I didn't feel like working on the stump work. I am going to let that go for a bit. I want to spend time with my cross stitching.

I was looking for the floss I needed and realized it was the one I went to Michaels for. I worked on the middle of the dress. I'm working my way down. I didn't get as much as I wanted to get done.

Funny thing about having to get my floss. I was able to get it a couple weeks ago at Michaels. I got a message from Emily that she was looking for 890 - green. She said JoAnn's was closed, Walmart doesn't carry it anymore and Micheals didn't have the color she needed. So, I went downstairs and went through 3 boxes of floss. I was able to find it in a box that I have sent for a project. Can I remember what the project is?? NOPE. Am I going to put it away, probably not. Am I going to try and figure out what I was set up for? Probably not. I guess it's going to have to wait till I come across it again. Who knows when that will be. I already have my next project in mind and ready to go. But, nope, it's not the one where I have the floss box set for. Oh, well.

After working on paperwork and stuff, I am now caught up with QOV and Gunderson. Maybe! I think I have to send out more bills.

Today I noticed the Onalaska Heavenly Quilts Shop is now sponsoring Mossyrock QOV. We were spending a lot of money there and now they are taking donations and application for Mossyrock. I'm sorry, but that doesn't work for me. I will no longer support a shop that turns their back on us after we have ordered fabric from them. I guess I'm being a prick, but if you won't support us after all we spent with them, then I'm not going to use them again.

The day was busy with this and that. I'm tired and want to listen to my book and call it a night. At least I found time for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Finished Taking Quilt Apart

This morning, Patrick decided not to go golfing. Darn! So, we spent the day together. He napped half the afternoon. But I worked on the laundry and my cross stitching. Oh, baked a cake as well. Patrick was bugging me for his "Lazy Daisy Cake" that his mom made.

First things first. I was able to get all the quilting taken out of this quilt. Then I separated the top from the backing and batting. Now I have to go and cut a backing and batting for it and get it ready to be quilted again.

Then I decided to work on my cross stitching. I know everyone wants me to do other stuff, but I decided to do something for myself this time.

I enjoyed working on this. I did find that I had the wrong number for the gem in the hand. So, I will pick it up tomorrow. I need to get my Driver's License, so I can swing by Michael's and pick up the floss I need. I worked on the skin in the upper part. I'm working my way down. I got about 200 stitches in today. That's not bad considering I haven't been spending enough time on this.

It was a busy day and yet it was a quiet day. It rained all day. So, it was easy to feel tired half the time. That was fine with me. I could enjoy Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Getting Ready For The Garage Sale AND Trip To Olympia

This morning, I left around 9 am for my dentist appointment. I had a cleaning appointment, and it went well. I do like my new dentist office.

Then I headed over to the garage sale and found one of the big items was marked really cheap and sold. So, I couldn't fix the price. lol I did fix the price on the guitar as it was too cheap also. We sold some stuff even before we started. I brought home the money to put in the box. It's ready to go for tomorrow.

I baked the bread I had made yesterday. I wanted to bake it before we got back. So, I was a little late in getting to moms. But the bread (sourdough) was really good!

I used the new pot as well. It's perfect for the bread I make. I had a grilled cheese sandwich for supper today. lol

Then we headed to moms to pick her up. She needed to go get her hearing aid fixed. Patrick drove up and decided to wait for us in the car. Mom took off her hearing aid, and we got eggs and chips that she wanted. It was funny! I made her walk with me to get the eggs and chips. When we had to go to a different place for the chips, she huffed and really didn't want to walk that far. I made her walk. Then we picked up her hearing aid and checked out in the self-checkout area. Texted Patrick we were coming out. We then headed home. Dropped mom off and came home.

It was a "quick" trip that took about 2 hours, but we didn't mind. Then I was trying to decide what I wanted to do. Ended up playing games. In otherwards, it wasn't my day for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

SEAHAWKS WIN!!!

It was pretty busy this morning with cleaning and getting my Christmas Star Bread done. I was able to get a lot done.

Then it was time to just sit and relax. So, I did. I watched the Seahawk's play and I stitched.

I was able to work on this. I got a lot done. The right side is slowly getting the steps that I like working on. I did a lot of the white/light green area done. It was fun, but doing the same color for a long time does get old. lol

When I got tired of working on it, I played on my tablet.

It was awesome to see us win again! It was boring to start, then it became a game in the last quarter. Shame they couldn't have played like that throughout the game. At least we won! I just hope we keep all our players at this rate, but we all know free agents want more money and that leads to trades. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

With a WIN, I was still able to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Yet Another Trip To Olympia - Getting Old!

Today, I just played games in the morning. Wasn't in the mood to do much. I did get my floss and things for my cross stitching. So, I can work on it, if I can get my butt in gear.

I checked the cinnamon rolls I did last night, to cook.

They raised really well! I used the cast iron skillet that I bought from Gerilyn.

The came out awesome!! Really good too!

Flipped them onto a plate and frosted them - not frosted here. They were so good! I will keep using the cast iron to make them!

We left for my doctor appointment around 1:45 since I had to be there at 2:45. Funny how they want you to be early, and then they are late. We talked about my issues and it's all good. I'm doing fine but needed my cholesterol medication changed. So, she's putting me on something that isn't a statin. Hope it works.

Came home and stopped at Arby's by Love's. We went through the drive thru and the food was cold! They didn't bother to make a new batch of fries! I was so disappointed! The Arby's in Centralia is usually better.

Came home and I decided I needed to try and finish my leg warms. I need them before the weather gets better and will have to wait till winter again!

I didn't get very far, found myself taking out a couple rows to get them right. Since it's been a couple days, I was trying to remember how each row went. When I figured it out, Sophie showed up and wanted to munch on the yarn, so I stopped. I don't care for wet yarn when I'm stitching. But at least I found the time today to have fun and be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Monday's Embroidery

I dropped off 2 quilt tops at Colleens and headed to moms. There were 5 of us. It was fun. Georgie and mom where working on QOV quilt stuff. I was working on my embroidery. I don't know why mom won't sit down and enjoy working on her applique instead of keeping busy with QOV stuff.

I worked on the pansy today. I started it and then came home to finish it. First, I went walking around the neighborhood, to get some walking in. Once that was done, I put the audiobook on and worked on finishing this so I could get it in the mail tomorrow. My part in the Round Robin is done.

This was fun to work on. I enjoyed it, and I had to think of something that would work with the flowers that were there. I had fun working on it.

After supper, I got the cinnamon rolls ready for tomorrow. I bought a cast iron skillet from Gerilyn and put the rolls in there. I think it will be a lot better in there. They will raise overnight and tomorrow we can enjoy them. Hopefully, they really didn't feel 100% right when I rolled them. We will see.

Tomorrow is the casino. But TODAY was my day for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Got Started Early Today

This morning, Patrick went to Safeway and moms. He went to help mom move her clothes from the dresser to the spare room. She's getting a new bedroom set, a little at a time.

While Patrick was gone, I boiled potatoes to make the family Lefsa recipe. I noticed our recipe is a little different from what is out there. I think mom and dad added to their recipe over the years, but I had the one I got from mom back in the 1970's.

When Patrick got home, he helped me with cooking the Lefsa. I found that I didn't have the right rolling board or even the sleeve that goes over the rolling pins. BUT since this was my first time, I did what I could with what I have.

They turned out right. BUT I didn't have them in a "perfect circle" as we are supposed to do. I will give some to mom and Phil tomorrow. I will probably take some to our embroidery meeting on Monday as well. I love Lefsa but realized I don't eat a lot of it and neither does Patrick. lol

Then it was about 2 pm. So, I relaxed, put my earbuds in and listened to my books while Patrick watched a show I didn't care for. I was playing my Seeker's Note game. It was fun.

The rest of the day was pretty much sitting and enjoying myself. I have a busy schedule tomorrow and Sunday, so I really didn't feel like doing anything else. I will do the star bread sometime this weekend. I don't think I have time tomorrow or Sunday now that I think of it. May make it on Tuesday then.

I definitely wasn't may day for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Day Of Baking And Playing!

This morning, I was up and getting my sugar cookie receipt to work on the dough. It needed to be in for a couple of hours in the refrigerator.

Woke to being told of the flood in the area. The area by us, exit 76 on I5, was closed because of the water over the road. It calmed down some, but I canceled my appointment with physical therapy. Thought there would be water over the road to get into town to see him. Patrick and I went into town to get a few things at Safeway, and it didn't seem to be bad, but we did see where it was over the road for a bit. Sounds like it's going to get worse in the next 2 days. The river never us is flooded as well as the golf course where Patrick plays.

Came home, baked the cookies and decorated.

I did something different this year. It turned out pretty good, but I was tired of doing them after about a dozen cookies. Then I just dumped the frosting on the cookies that were left and called it good. I like doing this, but it takes a crap load of time. I was baking and decorating for 4 hours today! UGH!

Now I'm just trying to relax but I'm starting to fall asleep in the chair. What a day! AND I wasn't nearly Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

So Much For A QUIET Day

Patrick was off golfing, and I was sleeping in. When I got up, I decided I wasn't in the mood to do anything. So, I started laundry.

Patrick got home and made the comment that I said I would make the zucchini bread of grandmothers. I told him I could do it tomorrow, but NO, we were going to be gone tomorrow, and zucchini doesn't last long, so the sooner I do it the better. UGH He also reminded me about something else that needed to be done, so I had to do that first. Not my day.

I got to work on the kitchen, since the dishwasher was needing to be unloaded. There were the 2 cast on pans that needed cleaning. So, of course that had to be done first. I washed the stuff that needed to be washed. Then I got to work on his zucchini.

I had to rinse it, cut it, and peel it. Then I could shred it for the bread. I always freeze the left over for another time. It was getting to be a pain, cutting, peeling and then turning around to shred it. I made Patrick help me since it was his idea. I also let him know several times, that today was supposed to be my day for NOTHING. Of course, the laundry was still moving, and I had to fold the clothes, towels, and sheets. At least Patrick did the towels before he started helping me. We ended up with 6 bags of 2 cups shredded zucchini. He made me cut off the seeds. I usually just shred the seeds as well. lol

I know, bad picture but I took it at night. Plus, Patrick up it away, so I had to take it out and take a picture.

It's grandmothers Zucchini Bread recipe that's in the other blog of mine. I will show the photo there. I was sent back in time with this bread! Grandma always made it around this time of year.

Once all that was done, it was cleaning up the kitchen again. Finishing up the laundry. By the time I could sit and do NOTHING, it was Family Feud time. So, I didn't get to enjoy the day as I was planning - OH Crap - I planned my day - and we all know how that goes!!

Now I have 3 quilt tops that are going to quilters tomorrow. That should keep us going for a while. I have another quilt top downstairs. I made sure to end out the non-monetary donation forms to QOV and mail it to the sender. I still need to get the nomination forms in that I have. I will do that this week.

We didn't do all that good at Panada this last Thursday. Shame. But at least we did make some money.

AGAIN, it wasn't meant to be - Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Beading Bug

This morning, I wanted to sleep in. I did for a bit, but not as much as I wanted to.

I got to work on washing my Santa Claus. I have someone to frame it and need to get the size. I will work on that this week.

Then I played my game for a bit. I had to get a few things done, and came into the computer room to send out 48 emails letting the veterans know when to expect receiving a quilt. I had done some yesterday and finished it up today. That takes a lot of time to get all those emails out. I even copied the message and sent them out but had to make about 4 different messages to them all.

Then I decided to cook a potato soup. I got the idea from YouTube of what I needed. I didn't want to make near as much as they did. So, I worked it thinking of how to cut the recipe. I did okay but the taste really wasn't there. I needed to add something.

It turned out okay, I just need to work on it.

Then I decided I wanted to make the earrings that I bought the patterns for. I started them while Patrick watched his shows. Not anything I wanted to watch. So, I worked on them in the computer room.

They are easier than I thought they would be. I had to watch YouTube to see how to do brick stitch. It was so easy. I just needed to think of how to start it. I would get the colors mixed up. I'm getting there. I can't wait to work on the other ones that I bought as well. These are fun! I may end up with a couple pairs of earrings before the weekend is out. lol

That's what I like - being Happy Stitching/Happy Cooking!

Another Day....Another Trip To Olympia

At this rate, we should live in Olympia/Tumwater area. For as many times as we go to the doctors up there, it might be better if we moved up there.

But then if we did, I wouldn't be close to my QOV group here and would end up going to the group up there again. Choices, choices, choices. Then again, I don't think I could find a place that would be paid for like my house.

Patrick went to his appointment, and I went in for the ultrasound of my bladder and kidneys. It went pretty good. I was able to watch, but I couldn't ask too many questions, like "is that something different?" or questions like, "what is that spot there, and is it bad?" So, I just watched and was told of the sizes. Just not what was going on. More pictures were taken of the left side than the right, so I wonder if that was an issue. I won't know for a couple days. Have to wait on the radiologist to check them out. I will get the report in the app.

We came home right after. It was a faster trip than it was 2 days ago. We thought about going out to eat but at 2:00 pm, we weren't that hunger, and it wasn't supper time anyway.

I started baking cookies. We needed something for snacks - snicker! Like I need a lot of sugar! The dough had to go in the freezer for about 45 minutes, so after supper I started cooking them. They didn't turn out as good as the other recipe I had. I will have to go find that recipe and get it in my book! I couldn't find the printed recipe so I'm going to have to do some checking. Of course, I ate about 4 cookies after they came out - yep - too much sugar. Now I'm full!

Really didn't do much. Wasn't in the mood. I will see what this weekend brings and hope it will be me being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

A Little Of This And That

This morning, I tried to sleep in. No such luck!

Got up and played on my computer. Got to play a couple games. Then I went downstairs and tried to get more done on the quilt.

I was able to get the 2 center stars hooked together. They are ready to attach the 10" strips to them on the top and bottom. I cut a few of the 10" strips and called it done.

Sophie was trying to get attention. She kept coming around in front of me so I couldn't cut the fabric. I worked on what I could. She's a piece of work when she wants attention.

Then I came up and worked on the pretzels that I started before going downstairs. Patrick helped me with the cooking part of it.

After we cleaned everything up, we went back downstairs to get some kits ready for when I have company on Monday. I'm hoping she takes a couple of them.

Patrick helped with getting them done. I have them in the bag. There is plenty of fabric for them to do the kits. Plenty of fabric will be coming back as well.

Then we came upstairs, and I went on the computer to work on the family history. I was able to find a couple more of my grandparents. Then Bryan called and we worked on the MATHESON family for close to 2 hours. I was getting tired of entering stuff. But we did add a lot of names. I am having trouble getting my program hooked to ancestry, so had to send a "help" message to them. I was working on the LITTLE family before he called. I need to fix one of the family members in the program and straighten it out. Then it will be back on track.

Time to enjoy our British shows, so I'm calling it done for the day. At least I was able to fnd time to be Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Hello Thursday

This morning, I needed to be out of the house by 9 am. I had another dental appointment. I was a little early, sat down to play my games, and was called in. They wanted to numb me up and I remembered him saying last time, I wouldn't need it. I told him if he didn't have to do it, I didn't want it. So, they didn't numb me up and I didn't have any issues. I usually have issue when they do. It was a small cavity in the back tooth. Not worth drilling for. I was happy to have it caught early and wasn't ready for having a fat lip. It went fast, about 10 mins once he got started. I was thrilled it was that easy.

Came home, shaped my bread for later. Mom wanted bread for tomorrow and I said I would. I had to make it today because it wouldn't work out if I tried first thing in the morning, since we generally eat at 11:30 am.

The I worked on the laundry I forgot. Patrick went outside and was having trouble with his Weed Wacker. He then ended up taking it into town to get fixed. Two hours later, he came back and said that was a waste of two hours. I think they still have it, because they called to tell him how much it would cost to fix it. Almost as much as buying a new one, but he told them to fix it anyway.

I watched TV. At first it took me 30 minutes to figure out where I was on the "Vera" shows. I am on the last two seasons. I understand she's quitting the show, so it won't be on much longer.

Santa got worked on while I was watching TV. I was able to get most of the greenery on the right side done. I'm going back to the red now. I was happy to get as much done as I did.

Mom called to say Georgie's husband passed away two days ago. She was going to call her. I told her to give her my love. I need to send a sympathy card out. I let the rest of the group know.

Then I went to my games, and found that one of my "castles" was still in the kingdom I am in. So, dummy me, went and retrieved it. It was cleaned out, but I can work on it. It's not like I need 6 castles but that's what I have! I started over 20 of them, but most of them are gone. I will work on it and see where I get with it. It's more a "farm" than a castle.

Then it was time to bake the bread. I waited as long as I could before baking it. So, about 7 pm it was baked and now it's ready for tomorrow. It will go good with the soup. It's sourdough bread. I like it the most. I found that it keeps the sour flavor if I don't use tap water. Tap water has chlorine in it, and that kills the sour taste. I have been using bottled water, even when I refresh the dough.

So, today started out early. It was shocking to me how much I got done before noon. It made for a good day to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Time To Sew

This morning, I was waiting on Jo to arrive. She was due at 10 and Debbie around 11. Before Jo arrived, I got my batting out and ready to cut. It takes time to get it out of those mailing bags. It took a little to get it out but now we are on our way of cutting more batting. Jo brought her quilt top she finished, and I LOVE it! It's the ship panel and she did an awesome job on it! We cut the batting. Then we tried to figure out a backing for it. We ended up with the grey that was donated to us and didn't know what to do with it. She checked it out and she will sew it together for the back. We talked about me needing to get a grey backing for some of those panel quilts. Jo is hand quilting this quilt for a veteran.

Debbie came about an hour after Jo. She needed backing for her quilt. I was getting the star blocks "squared up" before I started to work on the quilt. I hate squaring up other peoples blocks. I wish they would do it, but they don't, so I have to. I ended up cutting a few of the points of because the size I wanted and the size I had to cut down was different and hard to fix. When Debbie arrived we worked on the backing for her quilt and I cut her a batting as well. Debbie took one of the quilt tops with backing and batting to give to her cousin, Jeannie. She said she could do it in about a week. If we get all these scrap quilts done, we will have plenty for the next presentation.

After Debbie left, I got busy with starting to work on the quilt I had on the wall. Or at least the design for a quilt. I had Patrick help me with what to do.

I had the greenish color already decided. Then Patrick suggested I use the blue (didn't have the lights on), as a second border before putting the stars around it. I got to work on it, but after this far, my foot was telling me enough! So, I stopped. I will add the blue and then get to work on the stars around the next border. They will go in the corners, then in the center of the sides. I think it will be pretty. Then Patrick told me tonight, he should be the QOV designer for the quilts. Since everyone asks his advice. lol

After Patrick got home, I got started on fried chicken. He likes my fried chicken, but I'm not that crazy about my own cooking when it comes to chicken.

I am getting better at it though. Even Katt thought at looked good for fried chicken. We didn't have much other than the chicken. I would have loved to have the potatoes and gravy with this, but we decided not to. We didn't need to eat "heavy."

So, I spend the evening playing on my games. At least I finally went downstairs and worked on the quilt top, which turned out to be Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Gone All Day

This morning, I decided to try one of the recipes from my older recipe blog. I like to bake bread and wondered how this would turn out. I got it all ready, put in the refrigerator and then left.

Patrick and I went to Lucky Eagle Casino again today. We won in the beginning and started losing after. I was okay with that since we are still playing on their money. We played a couple new games. We found out we do better when we go earlier in the day. They were giving stuff out for those who have the card. Patrick and I don't want to deal with the card as we did before and only got $5 or $10 when we were putting a lot into it. This way we don't have to bother. I don't care about points. They don't give good points. We ended up losing about $300 and that's fine with me - as I said we won a lot the last 4 times and have plenty of that to play on. Since we were there 5 hours, $300 for entertainment isn't bad now a day.

Stopped at Safeway and picked up chicken for dinner. It was already 4:30 pm. By the time we got home it was 5:30 pm.

I took the bread out of the refrigerator and waited 30 minutes. Then I put it in the oven.

I thought I put the seam on the bottom, but it ended up on the side.

I cut it when it was warm - I should have waited till it was cooled down. But I just love warm bread. The cinnamon and sugar was like cinnamon rolls. REALLY good. I put my notes in the recipe of what I did and what I should have done. It's good bread. I was surprised and not used to it being that easy. As well as it being done in a day. Worth it I think.

So, today was not the day to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Had Fun Today

This morning, it felt good to sleep in. I think it was because I took a sinus pill. lol I usually can sleep really well when I do.

Got up and got the laundry that was left over from yesterday done. I had to run it though the dryer one more time. Then I sat to play on my tablet.

After I finally got up and got moving, I took a walk. Going around the neighborhood 7 times. It felt good to walk because my headache wasn't very comfortable. I don't know why, but lately, I'm getting a headache more often than I care to admit.

Came in and cut the bread I baked the other day into squares. I made croutons for Patrick. He got a lot out of it this time. I realized I had the bread raising overnight and that doesn't work unless I'm going to reshape it.  I know not to do that. Sometimes it happens with cinnamon buns as well. That's why I let them raise downstairs since it's a lot cooler down there.

Once all that was done, I decided I didn't want to go downstairs to finish a quilt top. So, I pulled out my cross stitching and got to work.

Like I said before, the white was easy to fill in, once I had the off-white and beige done. I still have more to do, but need to fill in the white. This was where I thought I would quit, till I realized my tablet needed to be recharged.

So, while I was just sitting there, I had to do something! I pulled the piece out again, and added the grey, red and dark brown stitches. I think that's about another 100 stitches, since I added a few more off-white and beige stitches in the red area. I thought I had them done, but realized I needed to add more. I have 2 empty spots in the beard and will fill them in later. I just wanted to get to work around the red area again. I'm getting tired of white. Plus, the off-white is hard to put on because it blends into the background, and I don't realize my "x" isn't an "x" till it's too late. That's when I have to take it out. So, the magnifier comes in handy at times. At least it keeps me Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Trip To Kelso

This morning, I slept in and loved it. It felt good. I think I was awake around 4 pm and trying to get back to sleep. Must not have been as long as I thought because the next think, I knew it was 9 am.

I enjoyed about an hour of just watching TV and playing my games. Then after I showered, I got busy with making croutons out of the bread that Geralyn gave us. It was awesome!

Patrick had half the bowl eaten and has a little less than this left. He loves his croutons! I had a few at lunch time.

Then I started in on baking White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies! I was hungry for them. Of course, I did such a good job, that Patrick even liked them. WHICH MEANS, they won't last long. He did put some in the freezer for later. Think he was afraid I would eat more than him.

Debbie stopped by and gave me a gift. It was so cool!! A Dutch Brothers shirt that has Jeff Dunham's character on it. Really funny and yes, I will wear it!! I feel bad I didn't get her anything, but I will later in the year.

Then we headed down to Kelso. Patrick wanted to take me to Red Lobster. We were glad to see it's still open. I believe the one in Olympia has closed down. The prices are higher, and the food is different, but it's still seafood. The combo meals on have shrimp now. They used to have other seafood but it's the shrimp specials. We did the combo meals. That was a good price, so no complaints there. I just can't see paying $45 for a plate of food for one person. I have a hard time paying $25 a person. We only had the $17 per person meal, so that was okay by me. I remember when most of the food at Red Lobster was a good price. The $20 meals are now $35 or higher. I still like their food, and will still go, but need to suck in my pride and just order.

Afterwards, I talked Patrick into getting a holiday drink at Dutch Brothers there in Kelso. Since it was .3 miles from Red Lobster, he agreed. I wanted the 4x the points. lol We both got something with the gift card I got. Then we came home. It was dark and hard to see the lines on I-5. They need to paint the lines again. When it's raining and dark, those lines are hard to find.

Came home and watch a couple Britbox shows. Then called it a night. I was happy to be able to enjoy baking today. I haven't done it for awhile, so I was thrilled to do something right today. lol As much as I wanted to be stitching, it didn't work out to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

A Busy Saturday - Cleaning And Baking

This morning I was up and enjoying the morning, till Patrick got up 30 minutes later. I like to have time to myself for a bit, but oh, no, not today.

He started going out to the garage and pulling out our Christmas decorations. OMG! I wasn't in the mood to do that just yet. Not only that, he insisted yesterday he wanted me to make pretzels this weekend. OH, where was I? Thinking I could pick when to make them, OH, NO! He wanted them today! Then I wanted to work on the laundry as it was getting too much for me. Plus I hadn't touched the kitty litter in almost a week, so needed to that. I can go on! So, I got testy with him. He backed off and figured to stay away from me with his needs. I told him I would do the decorating tomorrow or Monday. I really didn't care if we had a tree this year. We didn't have Thanksgiving, which is my favorite, and that's what gets me excited about the Christmas season. But NOPE, that didn't happen.

I did what I needed to do - yes the pretzels!

They were really good - the best I have done yet. But I was disappointed they didn't look like pretzels with the wholes. I tried. I will work on that next time.

Then I was chatting of and on, on discord with the group that was kicked out of the kingdom. We are all fed up with the bullying.

I have made it clear, more than once in that game, that I have dyslexia. I believe that is what got me into trouble when I posted something. I seriously don't care anymore. I wasn't asked about it.

People with dyslexia are very self-conscious. We worry about everything. We think at times it's our fault and we worry about how people perceive (sp) us. - See like can't spell. As a child growing up with it, I was teased for being stupid. I had a teach yell at me saying I was dumb and retorted. So, I have heard it all. I live with people who think they are better or smarter than me. They tell me how I don't know what I'm talking about or that I'm doing things wrong. I look at life and everything differently than a normal person. I find easier and quicker ways to do things. I'm smarter than the average bear. AND I don't care for people who treat me with disrespect. So, with the game, I took it personally - which I shouldn't have - and I was fretting over this and that. Today, I told myself "enough of this sh**" and move on. I need to relax and not stress! I like relaxing games, which this was till a few days ago. Now, I have to deal with getting myself back to enjoying my day, even if I play games, and get away from bullying me out of the kingdom. Just get out. It was a game I played for over a year. Now I have other games I can play, so this is fine. I'm moving on. I'm okay with that. NOW I understand what social media does!! Man! I understand why some people think they need to break something or even commit suicide. OMG, that shocks me! So, I am just going to "chill" and play a couple other games, play in the other kingdom and slowly walk away from this. I don't need or want it in my life.

So, today, I was being me. Baking, cleaning, fixing, and just chilling. It wasn't being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Olympia And Casino

This morning, Colleen stopped by to drop off two quilts and collect backing and batting for a total of three quilts. I had to replace the on...
