Another Quiet Day - But Did Crochet

This morning I was up and dressed. I played my game for awhile and then one of the gals from another "alliance" got on her high horse and had me blackballed. So, It wouldn't matter how I played in that kingdom, I would be attacked. No one would take me. All over one comment about her changing her name and not letting me get horses. I was literally bullied out of the game. So, I deleted my 3 accounts and I will go to another kingdom that doesn't have to put up with one person taking over a kingdom. It's all too funny actually.

So, I wanted to do more on my potholders today. I need to get a few done for Christmas gifts. I seriously need to do Christmas cards, but Patrick doesn't want me to say anything about what he's been through. I can deal with that, funny thing is, I talk on here.

I finished the bottom one, started and finished the second one (too small for my liking) and started a third. So, I was moving along nicely with all the drama in the game. I'm happy to sit out for 15 days while my accounts get deleted. I was just thrilled I got that done.

I realized I didn't post the quilts that I finished up and took to the museum on Saturday. They used one or two for the WW2 dinner.

This one was given out. Connie made this.

Another one of Connie's.

This was JoAnn Wise's quilt.

This was the block that we did here at the house. It was a group sew day. We got this done and Connie finished it up. Some of the stars got lost, but overall it's a pretty good quilt.

This was another group quilt that they did at Connie's. I didn't go to that one. It turned out pretty good.

So, I'm happy to say, I found time to be Happy Crocheting/Happy Quilting!

Made A Point To Do Something Today

I slept in. Patrick wasn't doing so well today. He's balance was off. At least he came into the living room.  Unfortunately he slept on the couch.

While he slept,  I watched "Marple" and "Father Brown."

Then I pulled my crocheting out.

I finally finished the one I started a week or more ago. I then started another one.  I felt good about getting something done today. It made me Happy Crocheting/Happy Quilting!

Trip To Urgent Care

This morning Patrick told me we were going to urgent care. So, I got what needed done and took him to Kaiser in Olympia.  We waited an hour to get in and another 30 mins for the doctor or PA. They talked about his muscle giving him pain. The usual discussion of what meds he can take. Then he was given a muscle relaxing med with a list of cream and pad to get at the pharmacy.  While we where there he got his blood tests.

Came home and let him nap on the couch while I watched TV, played games and crochet.

Almost done.

Mom called to say her grandson was picking her up. Then Patrick and Christine were bringing her back on Friday to leave again on Saturday.

I just played games to relax. But found some time to be Happy Crocheting/Happy Quilting!

Still Not In The Mood

Today Patrick was up before me. He's still hunched over in pain. Can't get him to go to urgent care. He tells me it a muscle and just needs time. After 2 weeks, I would think he would get it checked. It's a guy thing I guess.

I played games and enjoyed watching TV most of the day. Patrick got a nap in. He's been napping a lot lately.

I finished this potholder.

Then started another one. They don't take long. I was crocheting and playing my games. Games seem to relax me and lately I am so stressed, that it helps.

The other day mom commented that my hair was getting really thin and asked why. Told her it's stress. I have been under stress for almost 4 years now. Read it takes 6 months to a year to grow back, as long as one has stress under control. Oh, what fun!

I still can't seem to get into the mood of doing my crafts. I have a quilt that needs Quilting, a bead project that needs finished, a cross stitch that needs worked on, and a lot of unfinished stuff that I lost count on. So, I really need to get my stress under control and get back to enjoying my projects.

At least I found the time to be Happy Crocheting/Happy Quilting!

Fun Day With Friends

Today was embroidery day - or was supposed to be. There was 4 of us today.  Jeannette is here from Canada visiting her sister Sandy. It was so good to see her. Gerilyn worked on her quilt while Sandy and Jeannette worked on there embroidery pieces.  I worked on my crocheting.

I finished the top one at home, then I started the red and blue one. Thinking of groupings of potholder to give out.

Had to stop at Safeway on my way home. Panicked that I thought I lost my credit card. Ended up paying cash instead. Then when I got home, had to go out to the car and see if I could find my cc. Found it between the seats. Couldn't believe it! Or, yeah I could! I put it next to my seat when I got gas. Ugh.

I really love spending time with good friends and being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Date Night

I actually slept in today. I didn't get up in time to do gates with my team. 10:30 am I was up and in the shower.

Then Patrick wanted his toffee. First things first. Need to do kitty litter and vacuum.  He helped me vacuum by moving the furniture to get the stuff underneath.  Once all that was done, we went into the kitchen and worked on the toffee.

I think it's thick and suggested we make it thinner next time. It was quick and easy. Mom came over and I gave her some fabrics for her table mats. She was going to Sister's for batting.

Then Patrick took me out to eat. We went up past Olympia to Ranch House BBQ.

Patrick had ribs and chicken.

I had pork ribs with a baked potato.  It was really good! We hadn't been there in a year, and this was a joy to go to. Food was awesome!

Came home and got busy working on my potholder. Patrick took half my potholder and got rid of the old ones.

Since he took all the green ones, I decided to take out the new skin of yarn and get started on those.

Even though it was a busy day, it was a good day. Patrick took me out to eat. First time in three years he could enjoy his meal and enjoy eating.  Felt good to have him back. Not sure how long it will last. But I ended up being Happy Crocheting/Happy Quilting!

Back To Crocheting

Hard to get ready for embroidery.  As I was getting ready, I decided to take my crocheting with me. Before getting there I needed to stop at the post office.  Then met up with Sandy and Gerilyn.

We had a good visit today. Sandy was a little quiet but we got a lot done.

Finished one potholder and after getting home, I finished another one. This is the second one.

I wanted to show my crochet hook that I have had since I was 12 years old, living in Japan.  It's worn but it's my favorite and I use it more than any of my others. Feels good to still be able to use it.

I enjoyed working on these today. My day was Happy Crocheting/Happy Quilting!

Monday Embroidery

This morning Patrick went golfing and I went to embroidery.  I stopped off at the post office to find it closed. I told someone going in and he said, "Oh. Columbus Day." So. I headed to embroidery.

I worked on my Seattle piece. Decided to add color to my Space Needle.  I think it looks better. Still have a lot to do.

Tried to stop at Copy Depot but they were closed as well.  So came on home.

Helped Patrick get some butternut squash in the freezer as well as the berry pie I made. Of course Patrick had 2 pieces at lunch.

I just relaxed after and played games. Life is good.  I finished another potholder as well.

I like how they change depending on how big I make them. That what makes me Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Enjoyed A Play Today

This morning we cleaned the house.

Then I worked on my potholder.  Didn't get very far as we need to head to the play. I had to finish laundry when we got back. First we headed to Phil's, then to Safeway in Centralia.  I wanted the mini croissants. Of course they didn't have any. I will go back to Costco for them. I did get 6, but they are a good $1 a piece. Cheaper at Costco.

We went to the play, "Arsenic and Old Lace." It was awesome! I kept laughing! It was well done. They did have 3 women play a man's role. It was different but because it was so well done, hard to realize at times.

Dropped mom and Nancy off and came home. Felt good to just set and relax. Which means it was another day of not being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Kept Busy today

Was up early today. I was hoping to sleep in, but no such luck. Never fails.  😄

I got busy this morning by working on my potholder and playing games. And laundry. Need to get caught up.

Once I had that done, I worked on 2 pies today. Since I had enough dough for 2, decided to make them.

I walked 6 laps between doing lemon pie and meringue.  The lemon was a little off and runny but I have a couple ideas why. The other is a Merrinberry (sp) pie.

Then I went and sent emails to veterans letting them know we have them.

I went back to finishing another potholder.  That makes my day Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Moving Day

This morning Patrick went golfing and I went to Nancy's after my game play.

It was crowded at Nancy's with 7 of us. I took my crocheting but forgot to take the squash Patrick had ready for me.

I finished one more potholder and started another.  This one is a little small.

Came home,  cleaned up the computer room. Looked up ink stamps for our flyers. Put beads away and logged them in my listing's.

We left for the theater to see " The Wild Robot." Loved it. The theater is getting run down. They didn't have ice for drinks and it's been a year since the dryers worked in the women's bathroom.  Patrick said it wasn't working in the men's room now. They aren't fixing stuff as they break. Makes me think it will close soon at this rate.

Now catching up on my game. But at least today was Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Keeping Busy With Projects

This morning, got 6 laps with Ron around the neighborhood.  I was in two battles with my game between walking.

Patrick wasn't having a good day, so I pretty much worked on my projects.

I was able to get three more potholder done.  They went pretty fast. I was even enjoying my book on tape. I have a total of 12 done so far. Guess they will end up as Christmas gifts. 🤣🤣

After finishing those, I pulled my ornament pieces out.

Got this closer to finishing.  It was hard to see the two bead colors at night. They blended in ready close. I will try and finish this one tomorrow.

A whole day of being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Yet Another Day

Patrick was up early today. They were planning to golfing but the rain got in the way, so they called it off.

Teri texted me the garage was open for ume to do laundry.  Patrick took the container over with 2 loads. I got started. Bringing the clothes back and dry them in my dryer.  Good thing since it was raining pretty hard. Ended up doing 3 loads.

I worked on my potholder.

We went out to eat in Olympia.  I couldn't believe Patrick driving. For the first time he scared the crap out of me!! I asked what was up. He didn't answer much. I told him I was driving us home. You would have thought he was drunk. He had a rough day. Did eat much. I should have called it off since we were talking mom out too.

Came home and worked more on the potholders. That's Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Stayed Home

This morning,  Patrick beat me by getting up before me. He had a list of things to do. I didn't feel like going along. He picked up our clothes from mom. She was sweet enough to do some laundry for us. Then he got gas, so I had to claim it in the app.

I pretty much enjoyed listening to my book and crocheting.

I finished the one from yesterday and finished another.  Then started a third. The 2 cones I ordered came in. Was going to make one from that but decided to just finish these. Amazing how fast this is going since it's been a couple years since I crocheted.

That's what keeps me Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Still Crocheting

This morning Patrick went golfing.  I went walking early with Ron so I could play "gates" in my game. Then I got to work on cleaning around the house.

Once that was done, I sat down to work on my crocheting.

I finished the one from yesterday and completed another one.

Then I started another one. We sat and watched TV while I crocheted. Mom called a couple times. Had to help her too.

At least I was able to enjoy being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Shopping

This morning Patrick went golfing and I enjoyed the morning by myself.  Ron and I walked 5 laps. He offered me his treddle (sp) sewing machine.  When I looked at it, I decided I didn't want it. It has a lot of damage to the cabinet.

Patrick made it home and we had lunch before heading to Olympia.  He had blood tests to do. Then we headed to Costco.

We picked up stuff for mom, Nancy and Phillip. When we dropped off moms stuff, I took some laundry because the washer isn't working STILL. Patrick got the part but it's still not working.  Waiting for the guy to call us back to fix it.

Dropped off Nancy's and Phillip's food and made it back by 4 pm. Turned out yo be a long day.

I worked on my potholder.

I took out my pastry dough and made cherry turnovers.

They turned out good. Still need to work on the flakes part. I am getting better at it. They were really good.

Spending money and cooking makes for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Embroidery Day - Crocheting

Today Patrick woke me before he headed out for golfing. I got up to get moving to our meeting.  Sandy V and Sandy were there with me. Took some veggies too.

I finished my whale. Then I finished the potholder I started last night.

Then started another one. They go fast and break up my getting tired of the same thing.

Went to get 2 quilts but mistook Connie for Colleen.  Left Connie's laughing and went to Colleen's to get 2 quilts. Then went to pick up a quilt from Debbie while having coffee at Dutch Brothers.

Finally came home and worked some more on my potholder. I need to order more yarn since quiet a few said they love those potholder and needed more. May end up with gifts at Christmas. 🤣🤣

At least today wasn't wasted and I could be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Enjoying A Visit With Family

This morning I was out walking with Ron. We got 6 laps in. He's getting ready to leave for CA. He has another place down there with his friends.  He doesn't have a lot of friends up here any more but he loves his house.

I worked on my pattern for tomorrow.  I had to enlarge my space needle design.  I have it to the size I want. It goes with our retreat last weekend.  I may need to order more floss.

Then it was time to go to moms. Since my washer is still waiting on a part, I took 3 loads of laundry to moms. When we arrived both Patrick and Christine were there. Since they took a shower,  I had to wait to start the load. We sat and enjoyed each other's company.  I took crocheting with me since we needed hot pads.

I decided to use up the rolls I had. I finished the one on the right. Got the one on the left started and close to done. I will finish it tomorrow.

Took a quilt to moms. Have 2 to pick up tomorrow and drop off at her place.

Stopped at Safeway to shop on the way home.  Now I am calling it a night.🫠

I found time to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

An Almost Normal Day

This morning I slept in later than I have in a long time. It felt good for the first time in awhile.

I played for awhile. Then Patrick wanted to go to DeGautie's (sp) for flower pots. So, we took a trip out that direction. We came back with 5 hanging pots. They were really pretty. Came home and Patrick worked on getting them set up on the deck. It looks great out on the deck. He put the watering system going.

While Patrick was doing that, I was beading.

I'm now at 135/207 rows. It's coming along nicely. I love the way it's coming. I was listening to one of my audio books and decided I didn't want to listen to it anymore. So, I went and got another one because the ones on hold where not ready yet. I may have to get another one tomorrow if I finish this one soon.

We then went out to Dairy Queen to get some chicken strips. We eat at the park. It turned out pretty good. I ordered through the app but we still had to wait on the food. Not sure I like the app part of ordering.

Came home after stopping at the store for some milk and a few things. We got a couple things free, but then 2 of the "free" stuff didn't come up on the receipt so we ended up paying for those. Got that -.01 .01 balance on the receipt. Didn't see it till we were one the way home.

When we got home, I wanted to try crocheting the bag I was thinking about doing.

So, I got part of the bottom done. It's all recycled bags. I was working on them and was wondering if it would work like they said. So, I worked on it, and was surprised at how easy it was. I'm still working on it. I'm not sure if I have enough to do the whole bag, but I can used up what I have and then go from there. It was quick and easy getting that much done. It's curling on me, but I'm slowly getting extra stitches in on the bottom.

I decided I didn't want to do much, so I played games tonight. It was a quiet and quick night. At least I can say it was almost normal today. It made it easier to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Changing Things Up Today - WooHoo!

Can you tell I lived near Washington State University??! The WooHoo! came from there.

Today we got moving. I put in some laundry that I just realized I forgot about. So, I need to move it to the dryer here when I get done.

I went and worked on my beading. Got a row in when we decided to head out to moms and drop off some newspapers (2 weeks worth), and a few other things. She had said yesterday she wanted to work on a puzzle, so I went down and got 2 puzzles for her.

We went to Safeway, and it was weird. No one talked to anyone. No one wanted to be anywhere near anyone else. There were a lot of people out, but and about. Took the stuff to moms, then came back home.

Governor Inslee was on the TV. He's not happy to see people out and about. The police chief, sheriff and attorney general were on the news as well.

I decided I wanted to figure out how to make a plastic bag with the plastic grocery bags. I understand they are not as good as as the old plastic bags, but decided I would try and crochet a bag. I cut the bags that we brought home.

I have 2 or 3 bags cut, and the pile there is the ball I was making with the strips. I have more to do, but I can do this. I did throw out the ones that were ripped or damaged. I figure I can do this. It's going to be interesting to see if the bags last very long since the plastic isn't as strong as it used to be. Plus now they are trying to get rid of plastic bags. So, not sure if I can make very many or not. Time will tell.

Then I went and finished another row of beading.

I'm now at 415/446. Not bad. Coming along great. Talked with Sharon and she was about row 200 with the bridge pattern I gave her. I really want to do that one as well. But the Snowman will be first. I am running out of beads, so will have to see if I need to order more. I'll check it out tomorrow to see who close I'm getting and what I need to order - if I need to order.

I then worked on a Shutterfly book that I got for "free." I did pay shipping and handling, but I'm okay with that. I wanted to do a book because we never see our photos in the thumb drive. I had to chat to get what I wanted. It worked out great. They are very friendly.

I wasn't as busy as I would have liked but I did mix things up! It's a good day to be Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Would You Believe -

Today I was off the tablet?!!  I started the day off around 9 am. I actually got a good night's sleep and didn't get up till 9 am. I...
