What Day Is It Again?!

The days are starting to run together lately. We don't have appointments and we don't need to be anywhere, so I really don't know what day it is half the time.

I did work on the laundry. I also got to work on my beading. The good news is that I'm at 417/446. It's getting there! I may have it done yet. I'm surprised at how quick I'm going through the rows now that I'm past 400. I'm okay with that. I did notice I'm running low on a couple beads. I had to go looking in my extra beads and the beads I have set for another project. I did have 2 of them. One was the lowest ones on my beads. I will keep an eye on the others and if I need to, will do another order. I have a couple places I can get beads, so not too worried. And they are quick in sending them to me.

Patrick played with Sophie while I worked on my cross stitching.

She was getting comical. I listened to my audio book and finished it while they were messing around.

When Patrick gave up on her, she gave him that look. I couldn't help but laugh.

While working on my cross stitching, I decided to work on getting the framing done. I also worked on the flowers above the birdhouse. I still have one more bird to work on, but that will wait. I really want to have the framing done now. Once that is done, then it will be easier to get to some of the butterflies and flowers, by knowing where to go. Some of my floss got away from me and I had to go downstairs to my flosses to see what color went in what hole on the cardboard. I figured out what colors that were missing in the card. Then I got going and working on this again.

I'm getting messages from my son, who works for Department of Health, telling me to stay home for the next 2 weeks and not go out. He's worried I might get the Virus. Makes me think he know more about the Virus then they are telling us. I won't be going out, because there really isn't any reason to go out. I've been home for the past 3 weeks, and another 2 weeks won't make any difference at this rate. Just as long as I have enough to do and I'm Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Changing Things Up Today - WooHoo!

Can you tell I lived near Washington State University??! The WooHoo! came from there.

Today we got moving. I put in some laundry that I just realized I forgot about. So, I need to move it to the dryer here when I get done.

I went and worked on my beading. Got a row in when we decided to head out to moms and drop off some newspapers (2 weeks worth), and a few other things. She had said yesterday she wanted to work on a puzzle, so I went down and got 2 puzzles for her.

We went to Safeway, and it was weird. No one talked to anyone. No one wanted to be anywhere near anyone else. There were a lot of people out, but and about. Took the stuff to moms, then came back home.

Governor Inslee was on the TV. He's not happy to see people out and about. The police chief, sheriff and attorney general were on the news as well.

I decided I wanted to figure out how to make a plastic bag with the plastic grocery bags. I understand they are not as good as as the old plastic bags, but decided I would try and crochet a bag. I cut the bags that we brought home.

I have 2 or 3 bags cut, and the pile there is the ball I was making with the strips. I have more to do, but I can do this. I did throw out the ones that were ripped or damaged. I figure I can do this. It's going to be interesting to see if the bags last very long since the plastic isn't as strong as it used to be. Plus now they are trying to get rid of plastic bags. So, not sure if I can make very many or not. Time will tell.

Then I went and finished another row of beading.

I'm now at 415/446. Not bad. Coming along great. Talked with Sharon and she was about row 200 with the bridge pattern I gave her. I really want to do that one as well. But the Snowman will be first. I am running out of beads, so will have to see if I need to order more. I'll check it out tomorrow to see who close I'm getting and what I need to order - if I need to order.

I then worked on a Shutterfly book that I got for "free." I did pay shipping and handling, but I'm okay with that. I wanted to do a book because we never see our photos in the thumb drive. I had to chat to get what I wanted. It worked out great. They are very friendly.

I wasn't as busy as I would have liked but I did mix things up! It's a good day to be Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Staying Home Has It's Advantages

Today I slept in. Lately that's easy to do, since I don't have any place to go.

I got some laundry going and then I sat to work on my beading. I was able to get 3 rows done today, before I got tired of working on it. While I was beading, my half square triangle sheets arrived.

So, I headed downstairs to get some half squares ready. I was able to set up about 6 different sets. I then went ahead and sewed 3 of them up. I cut them and then cut them apart. I have 3 more to work on later. I was able to get 3 red and 3 blue blocks done. I'll be working on more later.

I was able to get more squares put together. I have plenty of squares to go with the half squares. Which means I will have plenty for a quilt top. I have 10 blocks of each color done. I need to figure out how many I need to be able to give them to Patrick to do a design.

After a couple hours downstairs, I came back up and worked on my cross stitching.

I have started the butterflies on the right and worked on the birds and flowers by the birdhouse. It's getting harder to decide on what to work on next. I'm close to finishing, but it's trying to figure out what I want to do next to get all I can out of the floss I'm using.

Being able to stay home has it's advantages when it comes to working on my crafts. I have more time to do them. I have more time to figure out what I want to do. And I have more time in general. I don't have to rush out to meetings, nor do I have to go to the store for stuff. So, I can't complain because I'm Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

It's A Quiet Saturday.....Again

Today I was up and enjoying the day. It was quiet and I did get a few things done.

I was working on my beading again. Teri came over with some flour that she found at one of the stores. One of 2 last ones. I gave her a hug and Patrick got after me for hugging her because she is out working at the bank. So, she gets out and is around people. I washed my hands and cleaned up after she left. I don't think it matters but I did just in case.

Got back to my beading and listening to my audio book. It's a "Peacock Murders by Donna Andrews" and it's really good. I laughed over some of it that Patrick had to ask what I was laughing about.

The bird is done on the bottom. I'm now at the 410/446 rows done. I'm really getting a lot done. I actually got 7 rows done today. I'm really looking forward to getting this done. I will have to add a few rows for the hanging part. That's going to be done once everything is done. I will have to get some help from Sharon, but that is going to have to wait till we can visit friends again. It's hard not being about to get out.

I then decided (after my exercises) to do some cross stitching. I'm getting close to finishing that too.

I had to check the color photo to see where the stems go in the left side area. I rolled the piece so it would be easier to get to the top of the birdhouse. I did get some outlining done. I even worked on the top of the birdhouse. I'll keep going on the outlining. I also started on the top bird (blue). The other bird needs it's head put on. Then more flowers. So, it's coming along pretty good. I am looking forward to getting more done. Not sure if I will spend the day tomorrow working on this all day or keep doing beading first and stitching second. Guess that leaves me Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Raw Emotions At Times...I've Got This!

This morning I heated up the downstairs to try and get a few things done. Patrick got going with cleaning the glass in the dinning room cabinets. While he was doing that, I cleaned up the spoons that are part of the collection mom had while we were growing up.

I went downstairs and ironed the backing for the quilt I have down there ready to go to Bill. Bill has pneumonia right now, so it's not looking really good for him. I told everyone that we weren't to take any quilts to him when the Virus started up. So, it's not our group that would give it to him. I called and he was working on his breathing. I'll call Sharon tomorrow to see how he's doing. They sent him home, so he's there with her.

I did work on some variation 9 patch blocks. Then I called it quits. I didn't have 2 1/2" triangle square paper to do the 2 1/2" half square triangles. I came up an ordered it from Amazon so I could have it by Monday. I have to make some more half square triangles before I can keep going.

Came up and we ordered a pizza. They delivered. After that I worked on my beading. Got 3 rows done. I'll try and start earlier on it and see if I can get more rows done tomorrow.

After the news, I worked on my cross stitching.

I finished up the bottom of the birdhouse. Then I rolled it. Now I can work on the top area. I may try and roll it again tomorrow. It's coming along so well. I just love this.

Yes, my emotions are raw. I don't know why, but I can watch TV and something sad hits, I cry. I read information (like my renewal of my drivers license) and I cry. GO FIGURE! I cry when I hear someone else has died because of this Virus. I can't talk about my family without crying. I have to laugh to get myself back in control. Patrick laughs at me and asks why am I getting so emotional. I'm loosing it. I laugh because I don't know why I'm so emotional. I often wonder if the anniversary of my fathers passing has something to do with it. I worry about family. I almost wonder if my "six sense" is telling me something. I really don't know. I'm going to be fine. I'm getting through this. I'm not depressed enough to freak everyone out. I will get through this and get back to normal. If I really know what normal is - lol.

I'm doing great and I'm still Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY

Today is my daughter in laws Birthday.  She's a sweetheart!

We went to Safeway (still no flour) and then dropped off her Birthday gift. We gave her my Winter Roses I just finished a couple weeks ago.

Came home and watched some TV news.  Depressing but we'll get through it.

I decided to work on my beading.

I am on row 400. So I have 46 more rows plus the black border to do. I'm excited about getting this done. It's coming along nicely.

I was going to work on my crossstitching but decided to play games instead.  Needed some fun.

Patrick trimmed his mustache and ended up cutting it off. I have been laughing about it all day. Can't help it.

At least I had another day of Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Another Day Waiting

Today started out pretty good. Had to get my laundry going again. Funny how I keep forgetting to put it in the dryer. I tend to take longer doing laundry that way. lol

We kept busy. I worked on my beading for a couple hours. I was able to get 2 more rows done on the beading. The good news is that I am now at 50 rows to go. That feels really good to be that close to finishing it.

Then we went for a walk. It was nice to have the sun out while we walked. It's supposed to rain off and on for the next few days. We are going to try and get out to walk more. It's not a good thing to just sit around the house not doing much. At least we aren't eating a lot either.

I did make some banana blueberry muffins today. They turned out pretty good.

I only got a small batch but that's all we needed.

Decided to take a good photo of them. Then Patrick took the plate and ate them.

Then I got back to my cross stitching.

I was able to get a lot of outlining done. I also finished a few stitches as well. I will get to roll this after I get the flowers put on at the bottom of the birdhouse. I'm getting excited about getting this one done as well. I still haven't figured out what the next kit will be. I have so many. I would like to the do the one I ordered and still waiting on.

So, even though we are having to stay home all day, I'm getting through. It wasn't easy today because it's the 2nd anniversary of dad's death. I'm still upset over what happened to him, but he always told me "shit happens and we get over it." I'm getting there. When I see other treated the way he was at the home, I often get mad about it. Why his age should have anything to do with it, bothers the crap out of me.

I keep working on my crafts and stay Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Went Out Today - Shopping And Dinner

This morning we were up early and out the door to Safeway. We had a couple things to pick up. Not much, but stiff we were running out of. I wanted some more flour - NOPE - tortilla shells - NOPE - and a few other things.

Even stuff in the freezer was gone. I was able to get some fries but they only had 3 bags left. UGH I really wanted more flour.

We came back home and I worked on my cross stitch for awhile. We watched the a movie and I got a lot done.

At 3 pm we headed out to get some KFC chicken for cold chicken later. We went through the drive thru and then went to Arby's to get some supper. We pulled in a parking space and ate before taking mom her sandwich and fries. We did get 2 free shakes. It was GOOD! Made my day.

Came home after taking the long way around. There was an accident on the freeway where a State Patrol (Trooper) was air lifted to Harborview Medical Center. It had something to do with a car chase. Shame. I pray he is okay.

After we got home, I worked on my cross stitching. I really am looking forward to getting this one done.

I think the birdhouse is done, but won't know till I finish with the outline stitching.

So, am I the only crazy stitcher that put the "extra" piece of thread on the side so I can use it again? I don't care how small it is, but I want to use as much of the thread up as I can. Guess I'm afraid I may run out.

Patrick just told me the State Trooper was killed. It was our Police Chief's son! Oh, my God! Just because the "a****le" tried to get away! A thief that now will be charged with murder, I'm betting. How stupid are people?!! That sucks!!  And on top of that, tomorrow is 2 years since my father died. Not a good month for me!

Anyway, back to my cross stitching.

It's coming along pretty good. I'm happy with it so far. I'm getting there......Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

With The Virus Going Around - I'm Still Crafting

This morning we were up and relaxing. There really isn't any thing we can do. So, I decided to keep busy.

I started out with doing 2 rows on the beading.

I was listening to the news while beading. I just can't sit and listen to the news. I get too jittery. You wouldn't think I would be jittery since I really don't have anything to worry about. I just get sad by hearing all of the deaths. I just hope it doesn't hit my family. I know some of my family is in Seattle, but the good news is that I haven't heard from them saying they have it.

After about 2 rows, I went downstairs.

I wanted to get ready for getting new carpet. I have to clean out my cabinets, but Patrick said not to worry too much about that. We can just take the stuff out of the room for a short time. I did get stuff in boxes. I took out the stuff in here. I left 2 quilt "kits" of fabric and pattern for 2 quilts. The top container has QOV fabric. The bottom one has 2.5" squares for another QOV quilt. I can use those for 2 different kind of patterns. I'm okay with that.

I cleaned out this area too. All that's left is my threads. It's easy to find.

I then worked on labeling the rest of the stuff I had. I added fabric to some. I even made sure to put a few things away! Woo Hoo! lol

The good news is, the table top is cleaner and less crowded. The container right in front is a container of all my quilt group pins. I collected them over the years. These are all 30 plus years old. I even have a quilt to show them off in. I still have more work to do.

After a few hours of cleaning - and I didn't even get to the draw on the other side that has scraps! I will have to go through those and see if anyone wants them. lol

I came back upstairs and fixed supper before finishing another 2 rows on the beading. Once that was done and the news was over, I did my back exercises before cross stitching.

I worked on the birdhouse again. I started working on another bird that is right there on the birdhouse (right side). That's the tail. I did another YouTube (FlossTube) of all my kits. I thought I had all of them for the video but I'm pretty sure there are a couple others around too. I am happy with what I've done today. I worked hard.

I worked hard on my quilt room - long way to go - and I worked on both beading and cross stitching. I keep busy with my projects to keep me sane. I'm not sure I can say I'm staying sane, but I'm trying. It's a different world when you have to stay home. The Governor of WA has finally decided to make everyone stay home. It was needed because no one was listening to him plead with the state to stay safe and not gather in groups. We had the same problem as CA and FL with people going to the beach and parks. Very few made sure they were 6' away from others. So, it's stay at home for the next 2 weeks. The fast foods and some restaurants are going to close without having drive-thru. It's going to be interesting. There will be times I want to go out to eat, but can't for a long time. UGH

I pray this will get over with soon. I really do want to get out and eat at a restaurant again. I want to see my friends and see how they are doing. I really want to get out and see what's new in the stores. But that will wait, and I'm going to be patient. I have to! I have been through times like this in Turkey as a High School student, and I got through it then, I can get through this again. May God Bless us all! At least I can still be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Not A Repeat Day

This morning I was up and got breakfast going.

I worked on my beading. I'm thrilled to say I am now at 390/446 done. I was able to get 3 more rows done today. I'm getting closer to 400 and that's what I'm trying.

Then I did some cleaning up. I seems to walk in circles today. So, we went walking today. Ran into one of Patrick's friends from work. They were laughing. He also said the city was in trouble because Rick retired on Friday. All the higher supervisors are retiring. Some decided they weren't going to wait till next year. It's interesting how the city is going down hill. Patrick does get a call from his replacement from time to time.

Teri came over to pick up some bread. I made the bread last night and let her know I had one for her.

She asked for a favor. She asked me if I could hem her pants for her. I fixed the one that came apart, and then went back over to her place to have her put the pants on. I wanted to see where I needed to hem them to. So, I brought them back home to work on.

After walking and getting dinner ready.  I worked on hemming the pants. I forgot how much I really don't like hemming pants. It gets off when I'm stitching the pants. I finally got it done after I kept taking out some of it. It turned out okay after all.

I also baked some cookies after dinner. I couldn't help it, I was in the mood to bake. So, I baked chocolate chip cookies.

I took a photo of the cookies for my Paprika3 program. It didn't go to my gallery. I'll have to remember that next time. I do like the app that works for my recipes from the website.

Unfortunately I didn't get to do as much crafting as I would have loved to but I was able to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Getting A Lot Done

When it's the best thing to do - Staying Home - then it's what I've been doing. After 2 weeks, I've found that I'm starting to get bored with doing the same thing all day every day. It's weird but any other time, I would be loving it. Go figure. It's almost like when someone tells you that you can't do something and you want to prove them wrong!!

I worked on my beading again today. I was able to get another 3 rows done. I didn't take a photo today. I'm now at 386 or 388/446. It's getting closer and I'm happy with it. At first I wasn't in the mood to work on beading, but then once I got a row done, I was feeling better about working on it. But then decided I had enough of the beading for the day.

I worked on a few other things. I even got some fresh bread going today. Just looked at it and figured I better get it in the oven. Won't eat it till tomorrow.

Then I came to sit by Patrick and work on my cross stitching.

This is what happens when I want to work on my stitching. I just had to have a photo of this one because of Sophie's butt end sticking out!

I worked on the birdhouse today. I was having a few problems with frogging - ripping out.

I can start to work on the outlining but I want to get as much of the birdhouse done as I can. I really couldn't figure out why I was getting off on the stitching. Then I finally figured out what I wanted to do. Once I got back on track, I was able to keep going. Then I realized I got the wrong yellow in the birdhouse, but I'm going to leave it. The other yellow was "muddy yellow" so I decided I liked this one better. We will see.. The next bird is coming up pretty soon. Once I get moving on the side of the house, the next bird will be coming up soon.

It's really getting interesting around here. We haven't been going out much other than walking. We did go get a burger the other day, but that was about it. I would love to do that again, but Patrick doesn't like burgers as much as I do. I could have a burger every day if I had my way. Tonight we had chicken wings. We are trying to clean out the freezer at this rate. I'm not worried, we have enough food to last a very long time. This way we get to use them up. I will work on some dessert to use up some more stuff as well. I'm hunger for chocolate, so I'm going to make some cookies or something tomorrow. I need to come up with something chocolate. Ran out of my chocolate supply. lol

I may work on doing my next flosstube tomorrow with the different kits I have. I need to think of the next kit I will work on after I'm done with this one. I'm really getting a lot done lately. This may be finished by the end of the month the way I'm going. Don't think I have finished a cross stitch this quick in a long time. It's fun!

I have more quilt tops getting done by others and need to go to Bill's. But at this rate we won't go up to him for awhile. I don't wait to even try. I think the less people go out the better. I seriously  don't don't want to get this Virus!   So, I'll just stay Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting

Trying To Get Back To Normal...As Best We Can

Today I was shocked at how late I did sleep in.

Once I did get moving, I got started with vacuuming and laundry. I'm still behind on my laundry.

While the laundry was going today, Patrick was outside in the yard. So, I sat and watched a couple of my shows on video.

I found a few mistakes that needed to be ripped out. The flower I started up on the top, had to come out and so did some of the post on the left side. I was trying to figure out what I was thinking last night. But then lets not forget that I was flinging beads yesterday, so why wouldn't I make a few mistakes on this!

After all that was fixed I got moving on putting the next bird in. I'm also working on the top of the birdhouse. I think I'm back on track. I spend the afternoon and evening working on this when I could. I didn't do any beading, because I didn't want to be flinging beads again. lol

So, it's getting back to normal aif I can call it that. It's not normal that I have to stay home and it's not normal I can't go to my meeting. But all in all, it's close to normal, so I can't complain. I just wish the younger people in the states would realize they are risking their lives. I'm thankful my two children are being safe.

At least part of  "normal" is being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Staying Home And Stitching

Today we slept in again. Might as well, there isn't any place to go - nor do we need to.

When I got moving, I sat and worked on my beading. Patrick went outside to work in the yard. He was climbing the tree later this afternoon when we went walking around the neighborhood.

Like he said, if the virus doesn't kill him, then the tree might! Not what I wanted to hear, but still true.

While he was working in the yard, I was beading and enjoying it. I talked to mom and Sharon to see how they were doing. Even Sue K called to see if I was going up to see Sharon anytime soon. She has 2 tops for me. I told her to hold on to them for awhile. We're not going anywhere and I wanted to give Bill a break.

My bird is coming along nicely. I'm now at 384/446. I was able to get 5 rows done today, but not without some frustration at times. You know how that goes, you pick up a bead (fling) and it's gone. You figure out what bead just went sailing and try to pick that one up as well (fling), it's gone. Then when I was going along (while talking on the phone), I moved the marker for the next row....to later find out I skipped a row. Took the row out I put in, backtracked and put them back in......made it!.....oops, nope, thread needs to be tied off and start another one. Okay, got this, NOPE! I was trying to go through a bead to get back on track.......BROKE....so I needed to backtrack and start all over with a new thread, as well as put half the row back together that I just put in because of the broken bead. Finally gave up! Called it a day.

I then went to my cross stitching.

Worked on the sides. I'm getting it up there. I started a flower way at the top. Now I can get to work on the flowers and the birdhouse. I outlined the sides while I had the time.

Earlier in the day I did a YouTube "FlossTube" video. I used my camera. It's only about 5 mins long, but my son and daughter in law suggested I do a video on my kits. So, I will try that in a day or two. If Patrick goes outside for awhile, I'll do the video. At least the quality turned out pretty good.

Daffodils are blooming nicely. They are looking really pretty.

Amazing how many different types we have out in the yard.

I enjoyed our walk. It felt good to get out in the fresh air. Things are going pretty good. Still staying home and still stitching. Guess that makes me Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Another Day Of Staying Home....Almost

This morning I slept in. Nothing was going on today, so it didn't matter if we slept in. Plus I didn't get much sleep last night. Too much on my mind.

I went to the table and worked on my beading.

I was able to get another 3 rows done. I stopped around 2 pm so we could go to "Carl's Jr." for hamburgers Since the drive-thru was open I thought we could get out for a little bit. I was shocked at how many people were out and about. Almost as if they didn't care. We saw I-5 as busy as it's always been. We picked up the burgers and then went for a ride. We went sight seeing around Napavine. It was a nice day, and we enjoyed seeing the landscape. Then we came back home.

Once we got home, I pulled out my cross stitching.

The frog was here today. It drove me crazy!! I took this part out about 5 times. The flower that was to be in there was taken out so many times I was getting frustrated.

Once I was able to get the flower done and back on track, I was able to roll the piece. I'm now getting to the birdhouse. I really was having fun, once I got past the flower on the right.

I was able to get the bird done. I really like the way the photo looks, but I'm not that thrilled with it in real life. It's pretty though. I'm really excited about getting the birdhouse started here pretty soon.

So far my family is doing good. We all are avoiding each other. We call to see how we all are doing. My brother in Las Vegas is doing good. My brother in OK is doing pretty good too. So, I can hope we all will get through this. We do have 1 positive in Lewis County. From what I saw today, it will probably start spreading in this area. It doesn't take much for Lewis County. They tend to think it won't happen to them. I'm thinking it will. I just hope my friends and family can get away from it. We are staying positive. I'm thrilled I can work on my projects, and I have enough stuff to work on! I'd go crazy if I didn't. We've been doing pretty good.

I've still been doing my back exercises and was glad I got to see the doctor before they stopped that. I did have to reschedule the dreaded colonoscopy for June. I wasn't looking forward to having to be close to the bathroom this weekend - so good things do come out of bad things. At least I figure they do. I'm still smiling and will try to do a FlossTube video this week. I just need to do it while Patrick is outside. lol

It's going good and I'm still Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

It's Getting Interesting With Having To Stay Home

Today started out with me wondering what I would do.

So, I decided I would go downstairs and cut some fabric for another QOV quilt.

I was able to get more blues and reds cut. I also got strips for the half square triangles ready to sew. I wasn't in the mood to sew, but I was in the mood to cut the fabric. I have more to cut, but I'll do that later. I did get a lot done.

I finally got to the point of wanting to quit. So, I came upstairs to work on my beading.

I added 2 more rows. Then Patrick came in and it was time to sit and enjoy his company and watch TV. Trouble was, I kept yawning. So, I laid down on the couch and fell asleep.

After getting up and having supper, I pulled out my cross stitching.

I worked more on the right side. It's coming along and I hope to finish it soon. Then I can work my way up to the top of the piece. The birdhouse is going to take some time, but it doesn't has as much work in it as the one I already did. I believe the one I have done is the Summer Cat. Not sure if I will do another one right away. It will take a little bit of thinking on what my next piece will be. I might do the Halloween one I have to do.

With all this Coronavirus going on, I'm getting tired of having to stay home all day. I know I can go for a walk. I know I can go outside and enjoy the fresh air. But at the same time I do get tired of the walls of this house. It's a big house, but it's still tiring to have to stay home. I wonder at times if it's just because I CAN"T go out. You know how that is, when your told not to do something, you WANT to do something. When your told to stay home, you want to leave. It's funny how that is. I see on TV I'm not the only that feels that way. I saw how people in FL were "packed" at the beach. Why would you do that?! Why would you put everyone at risk?! I believe our state has behaved. Most of the cities are empty of people. If cars go by, it's usually the workers that have to work. If Patrick hadn't retired, he would be going to work every day. His job was "Waste Water" and is a job that you can't stay away from. Just like the Police and Fire Departments. I feel for those that have to respond for us. So, while they keep us safe, I'm staying home and working on my crafts, as well as keeping the house clean. Wow, what fun! - NOT!

In other words I'm still Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Coronavirus Has Stopped Everything In Washington

Today I woke to find that our governor decided to close everything except grocery stores and pharmacies. So, it's now a Washington State issue. We have all been asked to stay home. Which is exactly what we did.

My other son texted asking if we had an extra thermometer. Told him we did and he could come get it. When he arrived, he stayed outside and Patrick handed it over. We joked and said we didn't have it, but he laughed and said he might. So, he didn't stay long. I texted later and he said he was around 100 and that he can still go to work. He has to check it before he goes to work. If temperature is up then he can't go to work. Told him to take care.

So, while we "hunkered" down, Patrick worked outside. I did laundry and worked on my beading, getting 7 rows done today. Plus calling and chatting with mom. She's doing great too.

I am getting closer. I think I'm now at 373/446. Not sure though. Anyway, I was able to get the eye done today on the third bird.

It's black so it comes out pretty good. I do like the way this is coming and can't wait to finish this!

When Patrick came in, I then worked on my cross stitching.

I was outlining all the flowers on the two sides. I will work more on the right side. It's coming along great.

Of course I had to have some help. She wasn't crazy about me wanting to get up.

I am working on my crafts. I'm not getting much else done at times. I'm still in that weird place. I think part of it is that we are coming up on my dad's anniversary of passing. He will be gone 2 years on the 25th. It was on the 17th that we were sent to the hospital to be with him, even though he wasn't with us much then.

Life keeps going. If we get it, we get. In the meantime I will find things to keep me busy at home. I can say at this point, I'm Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

The Virus In WA Has Us Shutting Down Tomorrow

Today I was up early and enjoying the morning. I got laundry started and made breakfast.

After all that, I sat and worked on the beading......but I really didn't get much done. I don't think I even finished a row. Not sure why, but wasn't into it.

Then went and sat down to watch "Downton Abbey" on the DVD. We are in session 2. It's funny, we actually did see session 1 but then saw the last 2 sessions.

While I was watching that - I worked on my cross stitching.

I'm almost done with the left side. Then I'll need to work on the right side and work my way up the sides. It's getting there.

Miss Sophie was trying to get me to play around the time it was time to leave.

Next think I knew it was time to go bowling. We won 3 games and I bowled pretty good. I bowled a 174, 183, 200. I messed up on the 10th frame of the last game.

Just before we started bowling, we had a meeting with the team captions. We all were going to double check with our teams to see if we were going to continue bowling the season. We have 5 weeks to go. It was agreed that those who didn't bowl didn't have to pay. It was up to each team what they wanted to do. We decided we would continue bowling.......TILL the news said our Governor will announce tomorrow that ALL restaurants, bars, and places that gather people. Which means the Bowling Alley is now going to be closed till further notice. UGH. Lewis County doesn't have any positive cases as of yesterday. We are doing good with not getting it, but we have to pull together as a state. Which means we are having to stay home till this gets under control. I don't blame the governor for closing things down. It needs to be done because people around here tend to go to bars and places that gather. So, this is a good thing. We did stop at Walmart and pick up a few things since they were still open. It was pretty bare in the food isles.

Till this is controlled it looks like I'm going to be very Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Decided To Stay Away From TV Because Of The Virus

This morning I enjoyed a little time playing games. I wanted to get back to normal if I could.

Since we didn't have cake last night, Patrick and I had it for breakfast - which is usually rare for us. I will say it was really good.

It was really delicious.

I did a good job on this one!

I was able to work on my beading and listen to my audio books. Patrick watched TV. I enjoyed working on the birds today. I've been getting more done and I'm actually 7 rows closer to being done. I'm now at 367/446. It feels good to finally enjoy working on this again.

Later I decided to call it quits. Then I sat down to watch TV with Patrick. While I enjoy my time with him, I cross stitch.

I was working on "fill-ins." As I was outlining I found a few missing pieces. It's really coming along, but now I'm at the middle area where there is a big gap between stitches. So, I'm going to work my way up to the point where I can work my way in. I may have to roll it up to get to the area I need to, to work my way down.

I worked on the outlining. The flowers look pretty good now.

The flowers on the left side are coming along as well.

I was working on the outlining in this area as well. I'm enjoying how this is coming along.

At least I wasn't having trouble with frogging. It's been a better day today. I did get to hear some of the news today. I'm not really worried, I'm just hoping it doesn't get too close to home.

I'm not as depressed as I was yesterday. It works out better keeping the news off. It not a good thing to listen to the news all day long, and that's what we did yesterday. I'm happy to say Patrick and I have been watching Downton Abbey. Patrick had got the CD's of the whole show We are getting through the first session. I love the show.

The only thing I'm not getting used to, is Patrick watching TV and me serving him every time I get a drink. Can't wait for the weather to get better - speaking of which - it snowed today! I want the sun!! That way he can go work in the garden. lol

Today was one of my better days - being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Spending The Morning At Moms

This morning, I didn't sleep well. So, I was up and ready to go. I got a few things done before heading to moms. It's quilting Frida...
