Getting A Lot Better

Today I felt a lot better than I have in over 2 weeks. My throat is the only issue. I can't seem to talk now, but that is the only issue so far.

I woke to find Katt gone. I figured she was off taking photos. She's leaving in the morning. So, I took her quilt and put it on the bed downstairs so she could see it when she came back.

It looks good on the spare bed. She seems really happy with it. It was one she picked and I worked on it while at retreat a couple years ago. She didn't think she would get it but I fooled her.

We went to the movies today. "Wonderland" was okay. Not exciting but okay.

I worked on my beads this afternoon but then when I looked at what I did, I took it all out. It wasn't working right and I wasn't following my word chart. So, took it all out (that part I did today) and called it quits for today.

I worked on my cross stitching instead. That is another thing that need to be finished. So, I got to put a little over an hour into it.

I can finish this up if I work on it.

Maybe I can get to working on it this weekend.

I need to get back to bowling and doing my exercises again. It feels good to be feeling better. I did get some sleep last night and it felt really good.

I'm keeping up with being Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Black And White Quilt Is Finished!!

The good news for today is that I was able to finish Katt's Black and White quilt. I haven't had the chance to take a photo of it, but I will do that tomorrow.

I worked on her quilt while she went to have lunch with her brother in Olympia. I was happy to see the two of them getting time together.

Once the quilt was finished it went into the wash. There was so much cat hair and dirt on it, that it needed to be washed.

Mom came about 3:30 pm and we went down to Red Lobster for supper. It was Katt's Birthday meal. We usually went out with dad because his Birthday was this month as well. We had a good meal. I brought back some food to eat tomorrow.

Katt baked a chocolate cake "Better than Sex cake" and we had that when we got back. Mom didn't stay long so put her cake in a container to take home. We played a game and had cake then. Patrick won the game. I jut wasn't in the mood - I think - because I didn't do that good. I lost by over 100 pins! It was good to have time with Katt and play a game.

Sophie finally got used to Katt and has been meowing at her for attention. It's comical.

Today was a good day of being Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

Doing Better

Yesterday was my doctor appointment.  She told me to ride it out a couple more days.  I was on the mends which made me feel a little better. I dropped off the quilt top at Sharon's as well as dropping off her beads. I had my month covered with a mask bethe doctor said i could still be contagious.  What fun.

I worked on the binding of Katt`s quilt after I got home. Finished 3 sides.

Today I am feeling better. Still not comfortable about leaving the house. So while Katt went out to lunch with mom, I stayed home.

I spent the afternoon finishing the binding on the quilt.  Once that was done I decided I wanted more quilting in the border.

I am adding that extra "v" which I think looks better.  I would do more but Katt is ready for her quilt.

Mom gave her a quilt today as well. So she's going home with 2 quilts. Must be nice. I'll finish up the quilt and get back to finishing the beading. Then I can get the cross stitch done as well. It will feel awesome to finish things.

I'm back to Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

Added The Binding

Yesterday I took the time to cut around the Black and White Quilt. I seriously need to get this done. Katt leaves on Friday or Saturday. After I got all that done, that took a lot out of me.

I'm enjoying my clean room right now though. I was going to cut the sides of the quilt on the floor but since my counter was cleaned up as well - but there is room. Shame I can't seem to keep my room clean once I get it cleaned up. At least I know it will be this way for about a week.

Sue came by and picked up a lot of scraps. So, she's going to work on those for quilts of valor. I was thrilled to see them go. I'll probably just cut out some kits for later.

At least my room looks better then it has for a long time!

On the counter it went.

Of course, Harley had to get in there too.

I waited till this morning to do the binding. I sewed it on the quilt. I had the strips go all the way down the side without having to sew a seam. I also did the mitered corners. I liked how easy it went.

While I worked on stitching the binding, Sophie had to sit right in the spot that I was stitching. So, I didn't get as far as I wanted to but I'm not complaining because I have one side done.

Really didn't do anything else today.

I'm off to the doctors tomorrow. We'll see what's up with this nasty cold. I gave her a "warning" that my meeting tomorrow will also be because of my cold. She got back to me and said we may have to do a chest x-ray and I'm pretty sure that's going to happen. Don't know what we'll figure out, but at least tomorrow I will know what the heck is going on with me.

I did have a good day of Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

Got Behind Yesterday

I didn't post anything last night because I think I'm coming down with a cold. Yesterday I was taking the morning easy while Patrick went to the store. While he was gone I cleaned out the refrigerator and mopped the floor.

Around 12:30 pm I left for Ethel's and then moms. I dropped off the quilt with Ethel. She's doing the binding on that. That's one more quilt I don't have to worry about.

Then I went to moms and we headed over to Kathy Wagner's memorial service. We sat in the back. It was pretty good, but hard to hear because of the great grandchildren making a fuss. It was good seeing the photos. I met the son and daughter. I'm sorry I never made it over to see her before she went, but that's my regret. I picked up the chicken blocks to take to Sue on Wednesday. They were going to give them to Barb and then Barb was going to get them to Sue, but I figured since I will see her on Wednesday, why go through that many people to get the blocks to her. The service lasted about an hour. We sat in the back and it was a long time before we could get out. There were a lot of people at her funeral. I found out that mom had grandmothers service there. It's a small place, but really nice.

I dropped mom off and come home. I worked on Katt's quilt. I actually got the border done. I now need to put the binding on and then go back and quilt a couple more areas.  Once I finished that, I went to bed.

This morning I slept in longer than Patrick - how weird is that?!

I spend most of the day on the couch working on my beading. I must have taken out just as much as I put in.....that's a lot!

At least I was able to finish this one. I started the next one. I have 3 more to go. I hope to have them done by the time I have to go back up to Sharon's.

Patrick went bowling. I stayed home, not feeling up to it.

It's been two days of Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Enjoyed The Day With Mom

This morning I was up and out the door. I told mom I would come over today.

I got to moms at 10 am. She was working on some quilt stuff in the quilt room. I gave her some reds for more stars. She has been appliqueing stars on blocks. It's amazing how many stars she's made. She gave 20 6" stars blocks to Susy. I told her they were supposed to go to Sue. She said no worries she will give her the next ones. I believe she will have them done by next week!

We then went to the living room and watched "Vera" on Acorn TV. We watched 3 episodes. While we were watching TV we were quilting.

I got 1 1/2 borders done! I couldn't believe how much I got done. I'm going to add more quilting to it after I get all the way around. I only have about 30" to finish all the way around. Then I'll go back and add a little more before binding it. I'm just thrilled at how much I got done.

Came home around 3 pm and then got supper going before we had to go bowling. We won 3 games. Patrick did pretty good. Me, not so much. I bowled a 159, 180, 145. Barbara who is as good a bowler as I am beat me by 7 pins. We laughed about that.

So, things were good. I was Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

More Visits Than Anything

This morning I got going with laundry. I worked on a few QOV paperwork. I had to make a couple calls to get batting and backing figured out for us.

While I was working on the laundry and getting calls done, Faye came to pick up the quilt top I had to get quilted. She was going to Olympia. She didn't pick up my quilt because I will be going up there on Friday. We talked about what was going on. I told her what I found out yesterday and we worked out what we will do. She told me she will be taking a break here in April or May because of her husband's health. I told her to do what she needed because family comes first. I pray he will do okay with the treatment he will be going through.

Then about 5 mins after she left, my neighbor came by and we chatted. She dropped off her water money. We talked about the neighbor who is selling their house.

After all that, I tried to get more done. So, I decided enough of keeping my brain going 100% for QOV. Which got me to sit and quilt. I quilted on Katt's quilt. I'm happy to say I'm going around the 2nd borders corner. Sophie was in the way, so I didn't get any farther then the corner.

I forgot to do the dessert, so I made "Grasshopper Bars" for Patrick. They turned out pretty good.

I hadn't made them in a long time. It was good that they came out. Trouble that happened was that my beaters died. I had to throw it out. I loved those beaters!!

It was a day of Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

A Day To Organize

This morning started out slow.  Patrick enjoyed sleeping in. I decided to finish up working on my word charts for the cat ornaments.

It took a couple days but I finally finished them and added them to my binder. I am trying to keep all my patterns in binders. Now I am ready to work on the cats. When I go up to see Sharon, we will be going to Shipwrecked Beads.

I then went into the computer room to organize all of Gunderson Water. I needed to file away the year end stuff and get organized for 2019. Cleaned up a few things while I was at it.

Patrick and I then spent the afternoon watching a movie and some shows he had taped. I worked on Katt`s black and whote quilt.

Of course Sophie had to be a part of ghat as well.  If she wasn't chasing the thread she was napping so I couldn't move the quilt to quilt it. I did get 3/4's done on one side. So it's getting closer to being done.

Then it was time to go eat. Our plans didn't turn out but we still went out to eat. Then we picked mom and Irene up to go to the play at the Evergreen Playhouse in Centralia.  They both enjoyed it.

Mom gave me her stack of stars she appliqued for QOV quilts. I will see about putting them in a quilt.

We finally made it home at 10:30 pm. It was a day to be Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

A Better Day

Today was a better day in many ways. The snow was falling all morning. Then the rain came.

While all this was going on outside, Sophie and I enjoyed the day in tthe house.

While I was catching up on my shows, I worked on Katt`s quilt.

Of course Sophie had to join me. I was able to get one side done. It is coming along fast. I figured if I rotate my projects, I might get them done faster. So, today was quilting, tomorrow will be either beading or cross stitching. Let's see what i`m in the mood for.

I'm back! Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

It's A Slow Road Back To Normal

It's been a long week. Feeling sick is awesome - in more ways then one. It's taken a slow road to get back to normal - or at least what I can call normal. I haven't seen anyone for almost a week now. I did make a few calls, but not many.

Today I felt a lot better. Not wonderful - but better. I was able to eat today which was a good sign. Not as much as I wanted to eat - but then again that's another good thing. I talked to mom a couple times today as well.

We got SNOW last night. You would have thought it was a blizzard the way everyone freaks out around here. This is nothing compared to the stuff I remember as a kid in Alaska. Dad taught us all how to deal with the snow. Take it slow and if you don't have to go out, then done. Bowling called to say bowling is cancelled for tomorrow. They postponed the travel league till next week. So, all in all, it worked out for me because I wasn't able to go to either tomorrow.

Last night Patrick found my 75 year old cactus. My cat got into it! Sophie and Harley both attacked this plant! I was trying to make it come back after Harley left and after we got Sophie. It loved the living room but I had to move it. It didn't like it, so I moved it back.......and this happened.

Now with only 2 strands that MIGHT make it, I'm trying to grow it again. I'm going to give it to Phil so he can baby it. It's my great grandmother's plant and I seriously don't want to kill it. I pray it will make it and that he can get it to grow healthy again.

After fixing all that, I worked on Katt's quilt.

I'm not doing a lot on the border, and I may add more later, but right now I think this will work. I will see when I get all the way around and see how much time I have left to when she gets here. She's actually going to be given 2 quilts when she gets here, because mom's working on another one of hers as well.

Yesterday when I had the breath and the felling better I worked on my beading.

I put a few stitches in on my cat. At least you can see the ears.

Then I went back to the bird. I took out 2 rows and then put in another 4 rows. I'm finding another way to work on this piece. It's not as easy as the peyote beading. I found this one more work and hard to keep up. I'm getting closer to the second page, and I decided the word chart isn't going to happened on this one. I had it started but then I got off track and messed the last 3 rows that I had planned out. So, I'm now going back to the original pattern line by line. I'm not happy with the way the head is coming out, but it's because of the seed bead color she used. It's actually the same color as the sky.

I'm going to put a few more stitches in on the beads tomorrow if all feels good.

I'm enjoying being back to Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

A Lazy Day - Then Bowling

Today I was up early. Patrick slept in. I got moving and made some blueberry muffins from scratch. They turned out really good. I really love the recipe I found on them.

I played a few games and just didn't get moving till around 11 am. We watched the bowling on TV. I really couldn't understand why the let the Big Brother celebrities get away with regular shoes when bowling. They needed to respect the form of bowling. The gal wore heals!! They shouldn't have let her get away with that. PLUS she was guttering the balls! She should have had some bowling experience before letting her on that tournament!! I really got irritated with that.

Sent Patrick off to go shopping. Guess it was crowded when he went.

I stayed behind watching the snow come down. It didn't stay long but we did get snow. We are supposed to get more snow tonight.

This is an older photo - but you get the idea. I was hand quilting the border. I need to think of what I'm going to do in the yellow because that his next. Then I need to figure out the black border. Once those are done I can do the binding. I really need to get this done for Katt by next month.

I didn't finish the binding on the QOV quilt. I will do that tomorrow and get both of them washed. That way I can get back to her quilt. She's been waiting for me to finish this. I took too long a break from working on this. I want to work on me beading too......oh, crap, here I go again....thinking of what needs to be finished.....ugh.

Then it was time to go bowling. I bowled a little better but still getting some lower scores. UGH! I bowled a 191, 180, 151. At least I got a 522 series. We won 3 games. We lost the second one, partly because Theresa bowled a 223.

At least today I was Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

A Day Of Quilting And Bowling

This morning I was up.....after a night of not being able to sleep very well. I must of woke up every hour.

We watched bowling on TV today. It was pretty good. I do learn a few tips when I watch that. While we were watching that, I pulled out Katt's quilt to work on.

I have this side to finish and then I'll be done with the first part of straight lines around the border. I have the bottom of the yellow and the bigger area of the black to do next. I'm thinking of doing cross lines in the black area. I'll figure it out when I start the next side. I was thinking I could do a QOV in this pattern as well....guess I'm still thinking of the quilt tops that need to be made. lol

I baked "Date Bars" for Patrick. using the oatmeal in the crust and top.

Unloaded the dishwasher for the last time. Then it was time to go bowling. I bowled a 173, 136, 198. I'm getting better, but not as good as I can be. I'm going to work on that. We bowled Dan's team. He wasn't doing good. He hurt his wrist and finger, on top of hurting his ankle. Told him to take care of that. Guess he doesn't do doctors. I wanted him to know I didn't need another kid of mine in the hospital.

Even though this is short, this is still a good day of being Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

Another Day Of Running......Then Quilting

This morning I was up early because mom called. I chatted with her for awhile. Patrick took the day off, so he was trying to sleep....which didn't happen between the phone call, text, and Sophie running all over the place.

Then I was out the door with my extra aida fabrics that I wanted to give to Rita. I also grabbed the quilt that was picked up from Bill. I stopped at the quilt shop and took the fabric in to Rita. Told her she could do anything she wanted with it. I didn't want it, and I really didn't want to sell it on eBay. I figured that was one way to get it out of the house. Then I went to Dawn's Delectables for the group lunch. Because I got a text at 6 am asking me to come in earlier - I had to leave at 12:15. I thought we were meeting at 11 am, and so did 3 of us. Come to find out we had to be there at 11:30 am. Which meant I had to leave by 12:15 to be there by 12:25 pm. UGH. I was served at noon, then had to leave in 15 minutes.

Got to my message therapy for my neck. Right after had to go get some stuff for mom. Then had to go to her house and pay the bill. While I walked down to get the mail, Irene was waiting for me at the door. We chatted awhile, which stalled me for a few minutes. It was good to see her. Gave her a hug. I really enjoyed it.

Then I had to run to Ethel's to get the quilt she finished the binding on. I traded with her for the one I had. I would have given it to her at the luncheon but because I had to leave and everyone was eating, I didn't get to do that.

Came home and paid a few more bills for our water system. We were going to go out to eat, but we had a visit from one of the "customers." He found the leak in his yard. So, we had to get it fixed. So, because Patrick is the President of the water, we had to stick around. We ended up with TV dinners. What fun!

So, we watched TV. And I quilted.

Made it to the corner. I haven't turned the corner yet. I'm about 3 inches from that corner. I really don't like doing this, so I'm stalling. I guess part of that reason is that Patrick sent off Katt's Christmas gifts already. I really do need to get this done this year. Along with a couple more things.

Maybe it's Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

Went To A Play At Evergreen Playhouse

Today started out like most days. Patrick was enjoying sleeping in, and I was playing my games.

After he got up, I sent him shopping for a few things since I needed supplies for the casserole I'm doing tomorrow. While he was off doing that, I was heating some nuts and chocolate in a crockpot. It took about an hour to melt, and then another 15 mins after I stirred it. The next thing was scooping them out on wax paper to cool. I made about 75 chocolate clusters. They taste really good too. But they do take a lot of different chocolates.

After that, I started the stew. Patrick picked up stew meat and I started cooking it. I like to have it cook most of the day. It tastes better that way. We used the potatoes from his garden, so he didn't have to buy any more.

While I was doing all the cooking, Patrick was wrapping gifts. Then he boxed up his dads gifts and Katt's gifts. They are boxed and ready to be mailed. Bet that's going to cost us.

We enjoyed a Scrooge movie that was done by Disney. I hadn't seen it before. It was different.

I quilted more on the Black and White quilt. Almost to the corner, which I believe is the second corner.

I'm thinking about what I will do for the black border, as it's a lot wider. I know she just wants straight lines, so I'll try and see how far apart I want them.

Then it was time to go to the play at the Evergreen Playhouse theater in Centralia. I tried to get the photo off my phone, but not luck. It was "Scrooge the Musical" and very, very good. I really enjoyed it, and was surprised at how well they went from one scene to the next. I love going to the theater lately. This is more fun at times then seeing a movie. The people in the plays are really good.

I'm ready for tomorrow, I think. I have the casserole meat done, and mixed with the cream of chicken. I'll add the beans and then the tatter tots tomorrow and bake it. I have my gift boxes ready, just need to add some clusters. Then I think I'm good. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

So, now it's late, and time to go to bed. I may not be doing hand work tomorrow, because it's a double duty day of bowling. I will try. Patrick said he may surprise me and decorate the house.

Tomorrow I'll be thinking of being Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching.

A Day Of Shopping Before Quilting

Today was a day of shopping. Both for groceries and Christmas. We did get a few things done as far as Christmas.

We headed to Costco first. We saw a few people we know. It was funny. Seems like I run into people at Costco that live down here. It's really funny. I hardly ever see anyone and when I go to Costco, there they are.

We then stopped at Safeway and got what we needed. Came home and got everything put away. Then it was 3:30 pm! Patrick fell asleep in the chair, so we didn't eat till later.

Once all that was done.

I was able to get the short side of the quilt done, now going around the corner. I still need to going around the quilt again, but for now this is a start.

Then - of course - my frame screw was stripped. Patrick went out and got me another piece for it. We will be making a trip to the store tomorrow to get a better screw set for it. Never fails. So, I'm slowly getting there. At this rate, I need to pray I find another screw set that works or I'll have to get another frame.....not liking the idea.

So, it's been fun being Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Friday....What Is There To Say..........

As I sit here, I can't come up with what today was. I usually have a good idea of what I'm going to say for the day....Nope, not today.

So, I'll work on what today was like......me being lazy till around around 11 am. Then I got moving....not saying much for me.

I took the two quilts to Ethel. She is going to do the bindings on the two quilts. Once I get them back, I will wash them and take a photo before taking them to the museum to wait till they are given out. I'm really happy with the way they came out.

After that, I was off to Dian's to help her out. I'm so happy that she's starting to get back into quilting!! She's been away from quilting for so long. After Willie died, she lost all interest in anything. She's been getting back into being herself again. I'm so thrilled she's going to start quilting again. She's going to work on her own stuff. I was happy to help her take the quilt off and get it ready for her to clean the machine. Once that is done she will can get moving. I showed her how to get her gmail going on her phone.

Came home to Sophie giving me a hard time for being gone all day. She didn't like me cooking, because she wanted the attention she didn't get today.

I received another request for a quilt. So, I'm getting more requests. This one is one of Faye's friends and we will do her in January. I will check with Jim about getting his friend to the museum in January to be presented as well.

The black and white area is now done!! I'm now working on quilting the border. I'm going to do 4 needles at a time going around the quilt. Then I'll do them again till I get it done. I'm hoping it will go quickly. I can't complain, as it's easy enough to do. I'm just thrilled the black and white part is done. If I can finish the quilt, then I can get back to my cross stitching at night. I do the quilt tops during the day. I have another top that needs to be finished as far as quilting goes, so if I can get my SAL done, I can finish that quilt.

Life is going, I'm still very emotional when it comes to talking about dad or thinking of giving dad's military worker a quilt. I'm having a hard time with it, but I'm going to try.

Life is being Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

No Donations Were Made To Help Us

This morning I slept till 9 am because I didn't get to sleep till 3 am. It was awful.

I checked Facebook to see if donations were made to be matched....NOPE. So far my children where the only ones that donated. I told my son not to donate and if he really wanted to give me the money I would use it in the quilts I make. He said he would do that. We could have used the money in our group, but that's the way it goes. I may try to get donations later after the first of the year. Then again, I'm a little miffed my brother's didn't donate since I donated to their children's stuff. Oh, well. What we got I'm very thankful for!

I ran over to Judie's to get the backing and batting for 2 quilts. I have one ready to go to Bill, and I'll pick up the three as I drop off another one. I then went to Whalen Quilt Works and picked up 5 yards each of a blue and red. I needed that to do the quilt top I was thinking about yesterday.

Patrick and I decided I would do a row of red and a row of blue, doing the blocks as every other. I know that doesn't make sense but I know what I need to do. I have to measure the blocks, then I can cut the same size of the red and blue.

Came home and found out one of our military friends that lives in Olympia requested a quilt. I worked my magic to get it to our group. I want to honor him, as he served with my father. Of course, that made me very emotional today. I haven't been doing very good today, as the tears are coming all over again. ugh. I decided I'm going to work on another eagle for him. Mike needs an eagle like the one I did for dad. I can do this!!

I then sat down and worked on Kaatt's quilt. The Black and White quilt is getting done. I'm at the last few stitches! Then I will be doing the border and calling it done! I'm almost jumping for joy!! I really do want to get this done for Christmas now. I don't have much time, but if I keep doing the stitching at night, it will get done.

Mom called and said she's having a great time. She's been enjoying her visit. She bought herself a new laptop and a new phone. All expensive, but that's what she wanted.

I tried puff pastry again today....not so good, but I'm getting there and it's going to take time to figure them out. Once I do, then I think it will be awesome!! Can't wait to get the kinks out!!

Loving being Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

Another Monday.....Being Lazy

This morning I enjoyed laying around before getting moving. I didn't have much to do or lets just say, I wasn't planning on doing much.

So, I didn't do much. I played games for awhile. Then I got moving on my puff pastry before going downstairs to cut out another quilt top - that didn't last long. I cut out some of the pieces for a quilt, but then I cut the wrong size, and now I have to fix them by sewing a couple pieces together to make up for what I did wrong. That ticked me off, so I decided to give it up for today.

I sent Patrick these photos to see what he liked better for what I wanted to do. I decided I'm not making anymore blocks, so I have them set like this for a sashing. He told me he couldn't see the sashing - which is actually there. It's a lighter color.

He suggested a tan color, so I put my tan fabric out there, and I wasn't crazy about that one.

This didn't work out at all.

Then I showed him what little I had of the blue, and he liked that better. Actually I do too. Trouble is, I don't have enough of that fabric, so I'm going to need to go buy some navy blue to finish this up. I decided to put the blue blocks in the middle - that would be 2 x 3, but a sashing there, and then put the three on the side with a block in the corner. After that, I'll border it again, maybe with a white strip and then blue again. That way it will be the size it needs to be for QOV. I really didn't want to do any more blocks for this. I think it will work out great. I can hope! So, next time I go out, I'll get 3 yards of fabric for it.

Then I decided it was time to give it all a break and go back upstairs to quilt. I'm quilting on the black and white quilt, and it's really getting closer to being done. I don't have a long way to go. I'm thinking of the lines I'm going to do for the border. I need to get them close enough.

Even though I was lazy, I did get a few things done. I'm looking forward to tomorrow in hopes of getting more money to our donation.

It Turned Out To Be A Quiet Day

Today I was up early - as usual. Enjoyed the hour to myself before Sophie and Patrick woke up.

I went on to find some more QOV quilt patterns. Not like it's a special pattern, but I didn't want to try and design one myself. I may do that yet though. I found a few patterns that I really like. I will cut some fabrics and get them ready for sewing. I want to have a couple of them cut before I start.

Bill called to tell me all three quilts are done. I need to go get them. I also need to get the quilt top I finished ready to take to him. I will clean the back up a little and then get it ready to go. Called Judy and told her what I needed for a background, and batting. Now I just need to hear from Judy to find out when I can go get the fabric and batting.

The afternoon, I sat and worked on Katt's quilt. Guess I'm not as close to finishing it as I thought I was. I'm going to work on this all week, as I want to have it done for Christmas. She thinks it will be done by her Birthday.

At least I'm to the last corner. I'm getting there. This is where I am right now on this. I will try to finish the corner and get moving on the border.

Then it was time to go bowling. I bowled a 183, 195, 161. Kinda bombed the last game. At least my average stayed the same. I'm hoping next week I can get it up again. We lost 3 games. The other team just out bowled us all. The last game didn't help, I wasn't the only one that bombed that game. It was fun, and that's all that matters.

So, I'm keeping up with being Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

It's Saturday...Still No Shopping ....But A Movie

I was up and enjoying my games. Patrick stated we would be going to the movies around 11 am.

We headed out and stopped at Patrick's work to check on things. Then we went to the movies. Our movie was "Reckit Ralph goes Internet" and I really enjoyed that movie. It was a little better than the first one. I really did like the way it went.

After the movies, we headed to moms to clean out her deck. Patrick put the dead plants and pots in the back of the truck. I got her mail and cleaned out her refrigerator. I also picked up my black fabric she had. I bought a brand new bolt and she had already used some of the fabric. That's fine. Her white that we were supposed to share was taken to her quilter that does her basting. So, I won't get any of it. I paid for the black and she paid for the white. We were going to split them between us. Oh, well. I needed the black for the binding of this quilt, so brought it home.

Got home and we watched the news and the sad news of WSU getting beat. I really was hoping they could pull this out! UW isn't that good this year, so WSU got "screwed" yet again. UW always seems to kill WSU's dreams.

Sophie is trying to get rid of a cold. She's been sneezing for the last 24 hours. She's doing okay otherwise. She does want a lot of attention though. So, she sat in my lap for the past 2 hours while I played on my tablet.

Now I'm going to get moving on Katt's quilt. I have a lot more done.

I'm on the last corner. I hope to have that done tonight or tomorrow. Not sure if Patrick has plans for tomorrow, but I'm hoping I can sit and quilt before going bowling.

Looking forward to being busy quilting tonight. That will definitely keep me Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!!

Back To Olympia

Patrick was golfing this morning. I was sitting and watching BritBox. I wanted to watch a couple shows that I don't get to see when he ...
