Spending The Day Stitching

This morning, Patrick went golfing and I went for a walk. I haven't done that in a few days, so needed to get it moving!

I ordered some fabric for our group. I worked on a few things that needed to be done. When I sat down, Patrick got home and later went to work in the yard. I was playing my war game and then decided I wanted to work on my cross stitching.

Listening to my audiobook and stitching. I was able to get the headdress area done. I then went and got SOME outlining done. I found that I needed another color in the Kreinik threads, so ordered it. I was shocked that I have to pay more shipping costs then what I bought! I wasn't happy about that.

After the headdress was done, I got to work on the purple Kreinik thread to do the overlay in the brown area. It was fun to get that part done.

Till my threads arrive, I will be putting the beads in. The bottom areas is where I added the beads. I figured out that I missed adding the green floss in the empty squares, so I'm adding those and then I will go back and add the bead in the corner. There is a lot of beads in this, so I will be busy. I need to make sure I "x" through the beads to make them stay and look lined up and not floppy. It's coming along great. I did the bottom area in about an hour, so that tells you how long it will be before this actually gets done. I did enjoy having fun with Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Sew Day & Stitching

This morning, I took my time getting ready to go downstairs. Patrick had the fireplace going, so I didn't have to worry about getting it warmed up.

Colleen was first to arrive. Mom called today she couldn't make it. Then Peggy and Martha showed up. Both of them had quilt tops done. Martha needed a border to one of hers, so we cut some fabric for that. Then we got busy and getting the pillowcases done.

Thirteen pillowcases were completed today. Eight of those were for the 250th Anniversary quilts. I have them ready to go. The rolled-up quilt in the back, was a quilt given to us on the passing of a veteran. It was donated to us to give out. Since it was rarely used, I said we would take it.

After the pillowcases were done, Peggy had to leave. Colleen and Martha were here till 2 pm. Colleen was ironing and Martha and I pulled out the quilt she wanted to get the borders on.

She had everything already done, so we just had to add the blue and white borders. It didn't take but a hour to get them done. It was originally a square quilt. We needed it to be 60x80" so we added the borders on the top and bottom. Turned out better than I thought it would. I need to order material tomorrow, now that I'm looking at this.

Once they left, I came up and worked on ordering labels and panels. Then I got my bookkeeping up to snuff.

I decided to work on my cross stitching. I was about halfway working on it, when Scott came over and chatted for a good hour. So, my time on being able to get much done wasn't there.

I was able to get some of the hair done, but not much. I really do want to get started on the outlining and beading. The sooner I get this done; I can start on another one.

At least I was both Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Tuesday Trip To The Doctors

This morning, Patrick went golfing. I got started on the laundry and then sat and listened to my book on tape.

I went downstairs with a couple patterns and put one kit together. I need to add the border fabric but forgot about that.

My appointment was at 2:20 pm and we were early. I got in early. We ended up waiting till past my appointment. She had a student come in and chat with me. Then she left and they came back later. It was a good hour visit by the time we were done. I talked about my sprain not going away and I also talked about my swelling in my legs. Now I have a few more things that need to be done. I'm going to have to see more doctors at this rate. Not what I would like, but at least I'm taking care of the issues as they came up. My sprain is my main concern right now.

Came home about 4:30 pm. Didn't feel like doing much after we had supper. I had thought about stitching, but it wasn't meant to be. Oh, well.

It wasn't my day for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Spending My Birthday With Mom

Today I was up and out the door. I needed to go to Safeway and then see Phil before I headed to moms. I stopped and got a sausage biscuit from McD's. Then I picked up my free drink from Dutch Brothers. I arrived at moms before everyone else and I was just on time.

Georgie was the only one that came today. Gerilyn is in OH and Sandy V had a few things to do. So, it was just the three of us till about 12:15 pm. We worked on trimming the quilt blocks that they are putting in a quilt. It will probably be done later today.

Mom and Georgie were "learning" how to square up the quilts. Georgie was helping mom in this photo.

After Georgie left, we finished with the squaring up and then left for Bill & Bee's in Centralia for a hamburger and root beer float. Once we finished eating, we headed to Rochester for mom's plants she wanted to put around the house.

We went to Lael's Garden Center and mom was having fun. She asked the gardener what he would suggest, and he told her of several bushes that won't grow too tall.

She decided on the English --- bush. It works there. Now she has to get them to plant it for her.

Mom bought 3 of these. They are going in those pots next to the garage and another by the front door. They are pretty. And they won't grow too tall. She paid for them by the "how old" they were.

After I brought her back to her place and took the plants out, I headed to Colleens to give her another quilt. Then she gave me one back. I got one from mom's, so I came home with two more quilts done. After I left her place, I went to Safeway for my Birthday cake and some ice cream. I bought a "Black Forest" cake. Got milk for Patrick as well.

Came home to find some flowers waiting for me.

Phill not only gave me flowers, but they also gave me a gift card as well. Emily keeps Phil up on dates to remember! lol I love them.

Before we had supper, Colleen showed up to pick up some material to get some pillowcases ready for Wednesday. We have our sew day then and she's getting the pillowcases ready for sewing. We need to get more pillowcases done since we are running out.

After she left and dinner was over, I was beat. I sat in my chair and played my games. I figure working on the blocks mom had would count for being Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Cleaning And Cross Stitching!

This morning, Patrick and I were cleaning around the house. We took the vent in the washer apart. This time more water came out then before. We were trying to figure out why water was left in the drum. The vent was clean and clear. Go figure, but the water was plentiful. I used some of it for watering the plants. Didn't want to waste it all.

Then I played games for a bit. Got tired of that and started to work on my cross stitching.

I was able to get her face done and worked on her hair. I thought it wasn't as late as it turned out to be, or I would have finished the top of her hair. It's really getting close. I need to decide if I want to outline her first and then bead, or bead and outline after. Chances are I will outline first. I will make it easier. The closer I get the more I want to finish it and then start the cat one my daughter gave me.

I cut the backing and batting for one of mom's quilts. Not sure if I will give it to Colleen tomorrow or not but will have it with me just in case. Mom has me busy tomorrow. She called today and asked me to pick up a cake for my Birthday, and she would pay for it. I told her, no, she can take me out to lunch and that's good enough. It's going to be interesting tomorrow.

At least I was able to find the time for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Casino - For Early Birthday Dinner

This morning, I didn't want to get up. So, I slept till about 9 am.

When I did get up, I played my games for a while. Then around noon we headed to the casino.

Our dinner was at 5 pm as we made reservations for the Steak House. Patrick brought money to play with while we waited till 5 pm to come. We were running low on what we took after about 2 hours. Then Patrick won the Mega bonus which was $1,1--. That was a shock but nice to have. We played on that money for quite a while. The he wanted to play another game, which was crap and got us down a bit. We went to dinner. It was really good! It was costly, but since we have a player's card, we were able to pay 50% from the card. We had enough money on the card, so it was really nice. The food was very good. I didn't care for the rice they had, but the veggies and steak were really good. I enjoyed it. It was for my Birthday Dinner, since my Birthday is Monday and I'm having to cater to mom. She wants to get her plant for the front yard and insists I take her. So, my Birthday will be more about mom than me.

We went back to play for a bit. We were down to the last $100 when I won the Mega bonus that was close but not as much as Patrick's. So, we played a few more times when I won it again. It was at the reset level, but I'm not complaining. We decided to call it done when we were about $500 up on what we brought. So, that gets added to the amount we already have from the previous month's winnings. We are up quite a bit. I'm happy.

We finally made it home at 8 pm. Poor Sophie hadn't eaten yet, so feed her. Now we will sit and watch our Saturday shows. It was an awesome day. Now I have a war game to play and then hit the hay. And, No, it wasn't Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Movie Today

This morning, I was happy to sleep in a little.

Got up and got laundry going. Then I listened to my audiobooks. I decided on the one I was listening to last night, wasn't worth listening to the other half of the book. Too much sexual content that seemed to be everywhere in the book. Thinking it, doing it and saying it. Not worth waiting to see how it ends. I like stories I can enjoy, even if some sex is in it, but not every page.

I played my war game and was shocked to find I'm in the Semi Finals. I didn't think I did that good. Plus, I'm ranked 350, so that's not the top 200. So, one more week, and then I'm sure I will be done. I can't compete against people who pay $$$ to play the game. They want the biggest and best and are willing to pay for it.

We left after my game was over. It was a 4:30 pm movie. We saw the Sheep Detectives, and it was really, really good. I really enjoyed it. Patrick liked it as well.

Came home and watched the Mariners. Sorry to say they didn't win, but it was worth watching.

In otherwards, I was not Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

QOV Presentation Day

Today was presentation day.

I was out the door and stopping at Safeway before meeting everyone at the museum. Seems a couple of the veterans beat me, even, to the museum.

We had one guy who didn't show. We will try and get him next time.

Jeff Moulton, father-son team - Jeff Galliaspie & Justin Gillaspie, Larry Granville, - Seated - Michael Hayes and Candance Sonner. All were presented a quilt today. Having Ret. Col. Patrick Taylor do the honors of presenting them with the quilts has been awesome for us! Thank you for your service, and thank you for letting us present you with a quilt!

Came home and I was able to finish up the star ornament. I'm not happy with it, but I will try and do a bigger one. If that doesn't work, I will go back to working on the other kinds of ornaments.

I just had to work on something when I got home. That way I can say I was Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Casino Day - Wednesday!

Today, Patrick slept later than I did. lol

We were out the door before 10 am. I had to make a deposit at the credit union and then drop off the electric bill for the water system. Plus, we had clothes that needed to be dropped off at the boxes in Rochester. We had a couple bags worth. So, we dropped them off before making it to the casino.

We were there till about 4:30 pm. I wasn't real hunger and neither was Patrick, so I just got soup for supper. Patrick got a yogurt. We started out with "Good Cents" and ended up losing the money so fast it wasn't funny. Don't think we are going to keep playing that game anymore. We then went to "88 fortunes" and went through some money before we started to win. By the time we were done, we came home with half the money we lost last week. Which means, we are still way ahead with our winnings this year. We won't be able to play next Wednesday because of it being sew days. So, we will probably go on Saturday, since we decided to go to the Steak House at the casino for my Birthday meal. I'm okay with that. At first, he wanted to go Sunday, but they are only open on Friday and Saturdays.

Got home and Patrick brought in the quilt that was in the back of the car. I needed to label it and get it ready for tomorrow.

This is the kit that I bought for the group. There were 2 and waiting for the other one to come in. It turned out great. We are getting plenty of panel quilts lately. I have one downstairs that I need to get the backing and batting for. I'll do that this weekend. I need to work on cleaning up the quilt room downstairs to get ready for Wednesday. The patten we will use for some of the other panels. Turned out awsome!

So, it wasn't my day to have fun and work on something. I did have fun playing games today. Tomorrow is presentation day and I probably won't do anything then either. Who knows when I can get back to Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Getting Quilts Ready For Thursday

This morning, I was busy. I worked on the laundry and vacuumed the house. I was working on picking stuff up. I really need to do that downstairs because I haven't touched it since they came for sew days.

Then I went for my walk. It was hot out, so I only made it around the block 6 times. I really wanted to do 7 rounds, but when it gets that hot, I want to hide.

I played for a bit, then I pulled the quilts out of the back room to label them and have them ready for Thursday.

These 250th anniversary quilts will be given out in July. I ordered 4 more for Veterans Day. Colleen Hill made this one.

This is the one we all did on sew days.

This is the one I did for the anniversary quilt.

Mom made this one for our regular presentations.

Another one of moms.

Not sure who did this one, but sent out a message to the group to find out.

Loaded and ready to go to the museum. We will probably be using a couple of these on Thursday. We have more for June, so I'm excited! We are getting more panel quilts with mom and Georgie at it now. Debbie hasn't done a quilt in a while, and she has an anniversary panel to work on. I think that's it. Jo has 2 anniversary quilts, Debbie and Colleen's sister's tops need to come in and then we are all set for July.

After I had all those done, I got to work on my cross stitching.

I'm working on the face now. It's getting closer. The hair was started as well. It works for me. Since it was hot, my hands were sticky, so I did what I could before stopping. It's coming along nicely. Beading will be next. We all know how I like to bead! lol

My day ended up being busy and helpful. I was thrilled to have time for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Embroidery Day - But Not Really

This morning, I was out the door and headed to moms.

Today is BE at moms. But since neither Geralyn or Sandy came, it was just mom, Georgie and Bonnie. So, I really didn't feel like working on anything, just chatted.

Mom and Georgie were working on this quilt top. It was an argument about who said what. After putting the quilt on the floor, it was decided to scrap what we were arguing about and put the quilt together like this. The difference of what it will look like - is where the red and blue borders are. Blue will be the top and right side, while the red will be the left and bottom. It will have a zig zag affect.

We also worked on the 250th panel quilt with ideas of how to put it together. Since they still have the panels for sale, we decided to order 4 more for Veterans Day. I will give another one to them to work on as well.

Came home. Was listening to my book on tape and playing my war games. I wanted to just relax - as if that's what I was doing earlier. I just couldn't figure out what I wanted to do today. It wasn't in my thinking box. So, I didn't. But I was helping mom and Georgie with their quilt designs. So, I guess you can say I was TRYING to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

I enjoyed sleeping in. I got up shortly after Patrick.

I needed to get a few things done today. I got the cat litter cleaned out. On Sundays, I wash the container that has the litter. I don't like just scooping out the litter. lol

Then I got moving on the laundry. It's Sunday. Patrick had me stop cleaning because it's Mother's Day. He even made supper for me today. It was sweet of him to roast a chicken for me. I had to run to the corner store to get some gravy mix because he didn't have any. At least I didn't have to go to Safeway, a good 10 mins back into town.

So, I took the afternoon and listened to my book. Then I worked on my cross stitching today.

Since I had the afternoon, I wanted to work more on this. I got away from the stair step method since I'm close to the face and it's hard to do that. I will work on it some more. The neck and face are next. Then when that's done, it's beading time. I was enjoying working on this.

After supper, Patrick and I watched "Death in Paradise" for two episodes. It's to the point where more regulars are leaving the show. I hope I like the next one, but not sure if the guy is leaving yet or not. The gal that worked with him left this time. We will see what happens. I do like the show, and I have liked some of the new ones that came in.

It was a quiet and fun day. I played my games as usual. I had a good time. I enjoyed being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Trip Back Up To Olympia

This morning, I tried to sleep in. Patrick was up at his 7 am time. I was surprised he didn't sleep more, since he wasn't golfing today.

I played on my tablet before we had to leave for moms. She had to go to Costco for her hearing aids. Patrick drove us up there. She had to do the hearing test before they could fit her with hearing aids. She didn't lose as much hearing as I thought she would. It took an hour. Patrick was out in the car. I found some pj's and let him know. He came into Costco and paid for the pj's on his way out to the car. I waited another 20 minutes for mom. She paid for her new hearing aids. Then we headed back home.

Dropped mom off. I was asked to stop at Phils for my mother's day gift. So, we went to get my gift.

It was awesome! I love the gift! It's the best gift I have had in a long time. So much fun!!

Then we went to the store to get stuff for supper. I cooked enchiladas for supper.

I played my games for a bit and then decided to work on my beading. I wanted to finish the star ornament.

I had to finish the last part of the star, then I was able to sew them together. I am going to make bigger ones. I may try different colors. For now, I like the blue. I didn't get it completely finished, but I was able to get a lot done. I broke a needle because that wire is too big for the needle. I may have for figure something else out to use the wire. It wasn't hard before, but I'm wondering if this is thicker than it says it is. I'm enjoying this. I do need to get a few more things done. Since we were watching our shows, I figured beading would be easier than doing my cross stitch for such a short time.

At least I was able to find time to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Nothing Exciting Today

Got up this morning and just played my match games for a bit. Patrick went golfing.

Around 1:30 pm was my war game, so I had to play that for an hour and a half. Didn't do good but think I made it to the next round, or at least I think I did.

We left right after my game to pick mom up. We took her down to Longview to have supper with my brother. Red Lobster is the place we meet up. It works out great. We treated mom to a Birthday and Mother's Day meal. It was fun and we had a good visit with my brother and sister-in-law. We will see them again next week.

Brought mom home and then came home. We watched a couple shows and that was enough for the day. For the third day in a row, I didn't do one thing that would make me Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Enjoying Lunch With Friends

This morning, Patrick and I slept in. It was nice.

We went to meet Kim and Jim at Sweet Inspirations in Chehalis for lunch. On the way into town, we saw a fire cloud.

We were trying to figure out where it was, till we realized it was close to Patrick's Cabinets in Chehalis. On S Market Street.

We were hoping there wasn't anyone in the house!

No fire trucks when we passed it, but they were on the way when we got another block. By that time, they were a little late. Shame the trucks didn't come from Jackson Hwy because they would have gotten there sooner.

We enjoyed a good lunch with Kim and Jim. We were catching up on where we were in life. I haven't seen Jim in about 3 years. Kim and I do lunch from time to time. We talked about her dad, Bill. He's not doing as good as he should. Not doing much at all. We had about an hour or two with them. It was really nice. The food was "so-so" as Patrick didn't care for his French Dip. It was too salty for him.

We then went to Walmart and over to see Phil at his place. Dropped off some asparagus for him.

On the way home we had to detour away from the fire area. Ended up going down Bishop Ave. Took a while to get through the school area. Once we did, it went faster.

Came home and Patrick slept in his chair. I played my games. I didn't want to wake him, which I usually do when I'm working on something. So, I didn't do anything. I really need to get back to my projects.

It was another - Not So Lucky Day - of Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Olympia And Casino

This morning, Colleen stopped by to drop off two quilts and collect backing and batting for a total of three quilts. I had to replace the one color for the back, because I cut it wrong. The other was for a quilt her sister did for us. The third one was the quilt top with batting and backing that mom and Georgie made.

After she left, Patrick came home from golfing. Then we went up to Olympia for my breathing tests. I have been stable for the past two years, so that's a good sign. He still wants to have the record of every six months, so I made my next appointment for November.

Then we went to the casino. We arrived around 4 pm. Then after playing for about an hour, we went to eat. Once that was done, we still wanted to play. We did spend a lot of money this time, but it was funny. I had my thumb brace on and when I took it off, I started winning. I couldn't believe it. So, note to self, don't wear it when gambling. lol We got home a little bit ago (9:30 pm) and are calling it a night. We both agreed we don't like going there at night. It's just too busy at night. During the daytime, it's more fun. Plus, the machines we like were busy. We finally got to play in them when we were trying to decide if we wanted to play or go home. Since the machine was finally open, we stayed and played. We did get some of the money back. No worries, we are still ahead with our winnings.

Which means not time to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

A Nothing Day To A Busy Day

This morning, I thought my day would be just relaxing before the rest of the week got busy. No such luck. I was eating breakfast, when mom called to say she couldn't hear out of her right ear. The hearing aid wasn't working. She was in a panic and needed to get to Costco. I told her I would call her back. I was going to go to Debbie's to get the information for brother Patrick. She was having someone come at 1:30 pm, so I would have to work around that. Patrick called when I sent the message to him about needing to go to Costco.

I ended up getting in the car, going to moms, and then taking her to Olympia where Costco is. We were able to get in a good spot for her, so she didn't have to walk too far. We went to the counter for her hearing aids. They took both aids and said it would be about 15 mins. Mom wanted to get peanuts since the peanuts and peanut butter is going to go up in price due to the southern states losing their crops this year. After 15 mins, I went to the counter and was told her piece wasn't working and they went to replace it. There was a hairline factor in the casing and when they tried, the casing broke. So, they gave her a temporary one and said they could order the casing, or she can schedule a hair test for a new set. Since they are 4 years old and she already replaced the left ear one, she decided she better just get another new pair. So, she's scheduled to take the test on Saturday.

As we were leaving, Debbie said she was home. I told her I forgot the thumb drive and was at Costco. Since it would be 1:30 pm by the time I got home, I told her to let me know when it was free to come over.

I did get home at 1:30 pm and ended up cleaning up a bit. I had stuff on the table that needed put away. I have paperwork that needed done. I reimbursed Patrick for office supplies and then I sat down to play my games. Debbie texted she was free.

I headed over to Debbie's about 2:45 pm. I got the information I needed for her. Then I came home to fix supper and work on the thumb drive for Patrick. I realized I had to print out some forms for him and then scan them. That would take forever since I have 60 veterans waiting on quilts. So, I did the ones we are going to do and will figure out what to do after that. May have to have Debbie scan them and get that to me. It's going to be interesting how that goes.

I finally got to sit down and do "nothing" for the last hour. UGH. It wasn't anywhere near Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Monday At Moms

Yesterday, mom turned 91. So, I went to Safeway this morning and picked up a cake for her. I thought there would be more at our meeting, but as it turned out, there was only three of us. Georgie, mom and myself.

I took my beading. I also took some fabric for mom and Georgie to work with. They almost have one of the panel quilts done. Since mom had to go get her teeth cleaned at 11 am, Georgie and I chatted. I was able to get part of the next ornament done.

I finished three of them there and the last one was while watching TV. Georgie and I pulled out the panel quilt her and mom were working on. It was a little off on the one side. So, when mom came home, I showed her and she tried to fix it. Even with taking part of it out, it still needed help. We ended up taking part of the side of the panel out and trimming it so it would lay right. Once we did that, it was sewing together a lot better. They just needed to add the borders on it and then I will be getting it ready to be quilted.

After Georgie left to head to Wal-Mart, mom and worked on getting some "Blair" clothes for her. Once that was done, then I had to show her how to do the borders. She said she hasn't put a quilt together in a long time, so needed a reminder. We had the two sides done and were putting the top border on, when Jo showed up with some stuff for the garage sale or for anyone that wanted the stuff. Its quilt related, so it's going to go pretty fast. I stayed and chatted. Then around 3 pm I left.

Came home and worked on the Polish Sweet Bread that I was working on before I left. It turned out good actually. At first, I wondered. There isn't a lot of "sugar" in it, so it turned out pretty good.

I got to work on another beaded ornament and like I stated above, I finished one of the five parts.

Life is good. Mom is still going strong. We had a good meeting, and I actually had time for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Mom's 91st Birthday

This morning, we were up early. I couldn't believe how slow the day went. At least the morning seems to take forever to move.

I worked on my cross stitch after getting some cleaning done.

I worked on it for a while before it was time to go to moms. We took some fabric for the quilts her and Georgie were working on. I brought one home. We also took mom so flowers from the garden and 2 pots of flowers for her front door. She was happy to get them. We sat and talked to her for an hour or more. She was telling us about Nancy having heart issues. She's supposed to go to the cardiologist on Tuesday. Mom's doing a lot better. She looked good today. I will probably stop and get some cupcakes for her Birthday tomorrow. Our meeting can celebrate as well.

We stopped at Safeway and I got some food for supper. I bought the chicken and tatter tots. It was good, but I needed something less greasy after I was done.

Then I played my war games and beaded.

I was able to get 2 of the 5-star points done. It's fun to do. I will work on more. I'm not sure how many I need to make for a tree, but our small tree would do with about 10 of them. lol - Which means I have a ton to make. I may change the colors after 10 each. It takes about a day to do them, and I only worked on them this evening. It was a 2 for 1 day! That's how I stay Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Back To Some Beading

This morning, I wanted to sleep in but couldn't.

Got up and played my war games for a bit and then got some laundry in.

Once that was going, I listened to my audiobooks and watched a YouTube video on the 3D beaded star ornaments. I wanted to do another one or two.

I was able to get this done today. It took all afternoon, but it was fun to do. I have decided I will do more. I think my tree will look great with these. I may have to make a couple sets for my kids as well. It is the size of a quarter or just a little bit bigger. I think it looks cute. I have other ones that are bigger, and I did the bigger one for Katt a couple years ago. She may need more, so I may do those for her as well.

Something fun to do, even though it takes time. Plus, it turns out to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Now To Remember What I Did Today

I didn't want to get up this morning. Lately it's more fun to just stay in bed. But I am always up by 8:30 am now anyway.

I enjoyed an hour before Patrick came in from golfing. When he got home I took my walk. Got in 7 laps which is 2.39 miles. Not bad. Then I was waiting to see when 1:30 pm came round because I had the war game, I'm still in. Before the game started, I worked on my cross stitching.

After the war game was over, Patrick and I went to the old Sunbirds and got some flowers baskets for our deck. We also picked up a couple plants for mom for her Birthday (Sunday) and Mother's Day. We filled the car up and it swelled wonderful! lol

Then came home and got a few more things done before I got back to my cross stitching.

We have a bird that loves to chirp at us while the screen door is open. So, I was going to take the picture, and as I clicked the photo, it flew away. He doesn't seem to mind us being around. It's fun. Maybe next time he will be in the photo!

I was able to work on the right side some more. I am getting closer to the face. I will be getting more done this weekend. I've decided I need to finish this and get it off my list of things to do. I will then pull out my cat beading and work on it. They both need to be finished. I enjoyed working on the right. Sophie was trying to help me from time to time but didn't work. She's been in my lap more than usual lately. I was still able to enjoy being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Spending The Day Stitching

This morning, Patrick went golfing and I went for a walk. I haven't done that in a few days, so needed to get it moving!  I ordered some...
