I am Lynn Wiltzius -
This blog was started for my children who were miles away at the time. Now it's just about a stitcher/quilter and what goes on around me. A Crafter's life changes over time. This is about what time brings into my life. Like most, changes are made as the years go by.
A Day at Work
I was up early, almost too early, because I wanted to sleep more. I was off by 8:45 am and went to work for my friend Carol. She's a CPA and I went to help scan a lot of her files for her workers. I spend all day scanning files.
Got home and Patrick was sweet enough to cook for us.
I'm going to work on Nantucket Rose tonight. Happy Stitching!
Today I was able to get a little more time in to sleep. I'm getting used to being able to sleep till 8 am and it is nice! Trouble is I still have to go to the neighbors, so I try to go after 30 mins of relaxing.
I went over to Cherrill's and it seems like I'm always there for an hour. By the time I got back I found Kitty in the garage waiting for me.
I went downstairs and decided it was time to go through my drawers and get rid of stuff I'm not going to use any more.
I didn't get a photo before I started, but here's where I was when I thought to take a picture.
A heck of a lot of stuff!! I have one BIG mess. I decided to start with the drawers!
I had a pile on top of the counter. This was most of what I already had. There was a lot of stuff that I no longer use or want. So, I pulled out a box and added all the stuff I didn't want in it. I've got the box ready to go to the quilt shop tomorrow for our meeting. That way if anyone wants them, they can have …
Today I was up about the time Patrick was leaving. I got ready to go to the doctors for blood tests. I have an appointment on Tuesday and needed to have my blood taken before I go. The gal at the doctors office was AWESOME! I didn't even feel it! I usually have someone that has to keep poking around for my blood, but she went right to it! I was thrilled!
After that I headed over to see how dad was doing. I let myself in the house and found both my parents asleep in bed. I told them they could go back to sleep and they said, "No, we're getting up now." We had breakfast together. Then mom wanted to work on the quilt we are going to make together. Mom thought we were going to make different quilts.
This is the quilt pattern that we both bought. When I told her it was a quilt that we would to together, she wanted to know who would end up with it. I told her I didn't care, as long as we did a quilt together. She was okay with that. Think she wants the quilt and I'…
This morning I wasn't able to sleep in because of our meeting. I took care of the neighbors compression socks, and loaded the car with bead magazines. Before going to the neighbors, I made the cherry crescents that Patrick likes.
I headed over to our Brazilian embroidery meeting. As I was half way there, I realized I forgot my cell phone with my wallet. I figured I could get back home okay without needing it. But we all know the old saying, "when you forget the phone, that's when your needed." In this case it was true. About noon time Patrick walked in at the meeting and handed me the phone. Then told me dad was in the ER and I needed to get going.
I was able to get some stitching done on the post. The bird feeder is coming to life. Think I will finish it up before I finish the birds. It's coming along.
We ended up in the ER with dad. Mom stayed home because she was sick. The ambulance took dad in, so we arrived and went to his room as soon as we got there. Dad e…
