Sowly Getting Back to Normal...

Slowly getting back to normal..... If you can call it that.  Still coughing, but oh, well.

Today started out slow. Went to Cherrills to help with her socks, then before I knew it, was helping her with ancestry. We worked out some of her family history. Next thing I knewit was an hour and a half later.

Came home and worked on my sourdough. Miss Kitty wasn't happy with me because she wasn't getting the attention she needs. I let her out and vacuumed. Or thought I was vacuuming till I saw the bag.....had the same amount in it that it had when I started. Ended up doing the house over again....ugh.

I then needed to see if the gal that said she wanted my stuff on eBay had paid.... Nope. So I got the bank statement for January and balanced the check book. Won't have a lot to do next week when Februarys comes in. Also got the water association done.

Then it was time to work on Nantucket Rose.

I'm almost finished with the right top corner. Then it's off to working on the upper left side. Will end up doing that upside down.

This is the pattern I was able to get for about $10 on eBay. I had a couple others I was watching for $6, but then I forgot to go back and check on them.

This is what I go through with Miss Kitty when I'm stitching. She has to be on my lap under my frame. The shades are the window shades, so the photo is sideways.

The thing we go through! Happy stitching!

Finally A Day Away

This morning I woke a little late. I hurried up and took a shower. Then called Kitty into the house for TLC. Cherrill called just as I was getting ready to go over. She said she'd be fine today. She had someone coming over for her garage door. So, she wasn't able to go with me to my embroidery meeting.

I left early, went to Starbucks and got myself a "pick me up" of chia tea and a cinnamon roll. Then headed over to the church for out Brazilian Embroidery meeting. We had a good meeting. 6 of us showed up. I worked on my bird feeder after helping Sandy pick her colors.

I worked on the board of the feeder. I have a couple more rows to go then can work on the last two birds I will add the food last. It's coming along. We were laughing at how long it's taken me to get this done.

We reviewed Seminar classes. I figured out two classes I'd take. One for the teacher and one for the different techniques to work on. I'll work on the cost tonight and see about getting it out in the mail soon.

Came home and worked on this some more. I've decided to stop at this point. I am getting a little tired of working on it. I think I will work on it next week when the next piece comes out.

I'm going back to my Nantucket Rose. I need to figure out who I told could have the pattern when I'm done. I'll have to check my IG messages again.

Happy Stitching!

Enjoying Sunday!

This morning I was up early. I was coughing so much, I just had to get up. The rest of that day wasn't bad.

Miss Kitty kept us company. We watched the PBA (Professional Bowling Assoc.) on TV this morning. It's interesting to watch pros bowl. After that we watched a few other shows. I even took a break from my cross stitch to get a little nap in.

I was able to get the work back in that I took out yesterday. I also found that I was off in another area. The best part is, only I know that. UNLESS someone is going to take the pattern and compare where things are supposed to go. AND if someone does that - that's their problem! I'm getting there to getting this one caught up. I have one more day to work on it, and then I can get back to Nantucket Rose.

It was bowling tonight, and I decided I would try and bowl tonight. Still not 100% but close. I bowled a 170, 172, 183. So, my average will stay at 173. I'm okay with that, since I wasn't really doing as good as I could have. Patrick beat me by 21 pins. I beat him the first game, but then he woke up and beat me the next two games.

I'm getting better, and looking forward to being back to 100%. I'm Happy Stitching!

It's Been A Week, AND Still Not Back to Normal

I was coughing again last night. So, I stayed in bed till 9:30. Called Cherrill and we decided she's do okay for the next couple days. I'll go over on Monday...and I do hope I'll be back to normal by then! This is really getting old!!

I enjoyed time with Miss Kitty and played games on the tablet.

Got laundry going. Mom called to see how I was  doing. Told her I was getting tired of being "tired" and coughing! She thinks I need to go to the doctors but I'm not so sure.

I found I made a mistake...so the FROG showed up! Grrr. I had put most of that area in this afternoon.

So, 2 hours later....I had it back to being blank. I was so frustrated!! I had made the mistake in Part 7 and didn't know till I started working on Part 11. I couldn't figure out why the fish was so close to the piece I was working on. The more I double checked the more I got a little confused. Then I went back to Part 7 and found I had been off by 1 square and 1 row! GRR. So, ripping started!

Now, I'm not in the mood to fix the mistake. I'll try and get it right tomorrow. OR I may put things away for a couple days! I still need to work on my Nantucket Rose!!

Okay, I'm feeling sorry for myself. I'm tired of the rallies going on, I'm tired of the LGB world shoving it down my throat, and I'm tired of making stupid mistakes on my cross stitch!

Life is good! I'm doing okay and I'll be feeling better soon! Once I do, I can do another video and get back to life!

Happy Stitching!

Trying to Get Caught Up...

This morning I didn't feel like getting up. Called Ruth to see to Cherrill today. We cancelled our lunch appointment. I wanted to go back to bed. Kitty wanted to play with my feet instead. I did get another 30 minutes in. We finally got up. I relaxed in my pj's till about noon. When I did go to take a shower, I was real shaky, so didn't stay in the shower long.

In the afternoon I watched my shows and worked on my cross stitch. I needed to get caught up on my SAL's.

I started out working on my challenge piece. I was able to get 200 stitches in before I got tired of how tight it gets.

This is where I ended my SAL last time. It's about 2 parts before. Now I'm working on the next two parts.

I was able to get this much done. I'm going to work on more tonight and tomorrow. I'm hoping to get caught up. Part 11 came out today, so I'm working on it.

Since I was running low on my floss for the trees, I ordered more - today's mail! I'm happy! I still have some more stuff coming in the mail.

I worked on getting my floss organized for my next project. Katt's Christmas Stocking. I rolled the floss and organized it in the box. I will probably be taking this one on the cruise. We'll see.

Mom called asking if I was going over to their house for quilting today. Told her no, was sick. She said she didn't think I'd be going but wanted to check on me. Then hung up. lol

Happy Quilting/Stitching!

Finally Starting to Feel Human!

Today I was up at 8 am. I eat breakfast, sat down and was still tired. I laid on the couch and fell asleep. I actually woke up at 11:30 am. I couldn't believe I slept that long! I usually don't last long in sleeping on the couch. I think the most I've slept on the couch is about 1 hour. Today was a first in a very long time!

The funny part - I felt a lot better today. I had thought about going to the shop for our quilt meeting but I figured out Patrick took my car. Plus since I didn't wake up till 11:30, I wouldn't have made it to the meeting.

I relaxed most of the day. I did get the dishwasher done. I'm thankful my laundry was done a couple days ago, so missing today wasn't a biggie.

I'm close to finishing the corner on this piece. I also noticed I forgot to do the back-stitch on the neckline. I'll work on that when I get the corner done. Then I'll get the rest of the tree done. If I keep this up, it should be completely done in a couple weeks.

But then again...when I have to put up with this, every time I pull the computer out or my cross stitch. She is under my frame when I'm stitching. SPOILED.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to get out. I have a lunch appointment with the neighbors. I need to get back to helping Cherrill with her socks. Ruth has been pretty good about doing it while I've been sick.

Wishing everyone a good day! Happy Stitching.

Not One of My Better Days....

This morning I woke up feeling like crap! Not one of my better days, but it's another day. I got up, let Kitty in and climbed on the couch to nap...if only it was that easy. Kitty was meowing up a storm, so I put her out. Slept another hour and then woke to her meowing at the door. Got up and let her in.

I didn't get much done with the cross stitch today. Just didn't feel like doing much.

I did pull out the eagle pattern and ironed it down. I did the wings.

Top and bottom of the wings is ready to work on. I need to sew down the wings, then I can work on the body. I have it all ready in my project box to work on.

I also basted the flag stars on the Baltimore Liberty block. Now I just need to applique it down. That was also put in the project box. As long as I have these in my box, it will get done. They are things I take with me to the meeting. If I get this part done, then I work on the next part. At least I can get more done this way.

Miss Kitty was quiet today under the table. I couldn't resist a photo!

She's a beauty!

I was able to get a few more stitches in on the cross stitch...but not as much as I wanted. It's getting there though.

I pulled out my SAL piece and realized I didn't have part 10 printed. So, I need to print that out tomorrow.

Patrick went bowling without me. Sucks, because I wanted to go, just knew if I did I wouldn't do any good.

Back to work....Happy Quilting!

Still Have A Cold...BUT It Didn't Stop Me....

This morning at 4 am, I got up and went to the couch. I couldn't get back to sleep and this time Patrick was snoring...can't win. When he got up, I went back to bed and slept till 9 am. I still wasn't feeling the best, but I did get up to get moving.

Miss Kitty was outside waiting for me. I stepped out the door to call her and screamed! I didn't see the mouse till after I put my food down. Miss Kitty wasn't fazed, she just came on in the house. In the meantime, there was a dead mouse on the door mat.

I played a few games. While I was doing that, I got laundry going. I was doing pretty good with the laundry because I got 4 loads done today. Then I pulled out the sourdough and cooked it. I have 2 loaves done. I told Patrick to take one over to the neighbors but he didn't, so betting he takes it to work.

I also went to the garage to clean out the kitty litter. Got that cleaned up and put the mouse in the trash...ugh.

Once all that was done, I sat down and working on my cross stitch.

I'm getting a lot of the tree done. I have a couple different photos for this.

While I worked on this, I listened and watched "ginger.gerald.stitcher" on FlossTube. He was showing his WIPs and his purchases.

So, now that I said that, I realized I also make a couple purchases this weekend and today. I ordered some fusible fleece to be able to make a couple envelope bags. I'm hoping it comes soon, and I would love to get one done for the scrolls.

I also order a webcam - which came in today. I bought one like my daughter-in-laws that I was borrowing. Now I have my own. I'll be doing another video on my "Finally Finished Objects" also known as FFOs. That was new to me! I did order the Mirabilia pattern, fabric and some glossy floss for a SAL. It's the new pattern out there. I joined another group for this one.

While I was enjoying some free time with Miss Kitty, I pulled out my art booklet that Phil got for me.

I decided to try that technique that was in the AQS magazine. Not sure I was doing it right, but it does look pretty cool for what I did. I may do some checking on line or on the youtube to see what some other designs can be done. It's fun to do. Reminds me of doodling. I always doodle when I'm bored.

I have more stuff on eBay for this weekend. I noticed I have two things with bids, and I'm thrilled. I need to get rid of all these stuff. I also need to go get some more envelopes for shipping. That I'll do on Thursday...want to have one more day of letting this cold get out of my system.

I am hoping to go down and go over my fabrics tomorrow. I want to get my eagles ready to work on. If I get one started, I can get moving on a couple more. I really need to get moving on them so we can give out some eagle quilts to Vets.

Still dreaming...still playing....still coughing....still have more ideas.....still waiting on my purchases....and still Happy Quilting/Stitching!

Under the Weather...UGH

Yesterday started out with me getting Patrick's cold....that he has had all week. It finally got me and I felt like crap. So, between sleeping and trying to get up and around....

I was able to get some cross stitching done.

It was going pretty good because I didn't have to change my floss as often. It's more rows of the same color. That makes it easier and faster to do.

Bowling was last night but I didn't make it. Patrick went. They bowled against a team that didn't show up to bowl. So, he was home by 8:10 pm.

This morning I woke to Patrick being on the couch. I felt bad about that. He said he didn't want to wake me but I had been snoring...which I do when I get sick or have allergies.

I worked on some laundry and got some sourdough bread going for tomorrow.

We watched a couple movies today while I worked more on my cross stitch.

I was able to get a lot more done. I am happy at how it's coming out.

I asked Ruth to do Cherrill the next two days. I had to say no to the casino tomorrow. Can't go next week because of dental appointment...ugh. I feel so worn out! I've been drinking a LOT today as well. Hoping this doesn't last a week like Patrick's been going through. He's still coughing. I haven't had to cough as much.

I did list a few more things on eBay today. I also boxed up what sold and have them ready to go to the post office.

I want to go to the shop and pick up some fusible batting. I have a few things I want to make. AND YES, it has to be done on the sewing machine....ugh. But I really do want to make a couple envelope bags.

Hopefully tomorrow will be another day of Happy Stitching!

Had the Day to Stitch - Then Dinner with Folks

This morning I was up and enjoying some time with Kitty before going to Cherrill's. I stayed and chatted with her before coming back to find Patrick in the garage. He decided he wanted to take time to clean the garage and add the cabinet that mom gave him.

I worked on "Nantucket Rose" and got a few more stitches in. I found myself getting a couple colors mixed up, so the frog  came out!

The tree is coming long great. Seeing it from the photo, I can see it better than I can working on it. I do like how it's come out.

I also signed up for a SAL with a Mirabella pattern. The requirement is to buy the fabric from the gal putting it on as well as getting the pattern. We get 25% off from the stuff we buy for the SAL. I thought it would be fun, so I signed up. I do like the new design, and I'm going to plan on making it. AFTER Katt's stocking.

Mom and dad arrived around 3 pm and we went down to Kelso for supper. We had a good meal. Came back home and played games. Kitty surprised me by playing with her ball while we played cards. She then went outside.

So...right now, mom and dad are gone, and we are sitting watching TV. It's one of Patrick's favorite shows and we've seen it at least 5 times so far. Every Saturday we watch the same show, that we've been watching for over 5 years. Rerun after rerun. I feel like I'm going in circles watching this show and the next....for the umpteenth time! It's getting very OLD on me!

In the meantime, I think I will try to get something done. I may go downstairs in a minute to see if I have enough fabric to do a big envelope bag. I also think I will buy some batting on Thursday to make a few envelope bags. I am also thinking I will use my embroidery on the bags as well.

The Seminar booklet came in yesterday and I was looking through it. It's a lot of "used" patterns. Nothing new. I'm not sure what classes I'll take. I did hear of one member who is a good teacher, so thinking I will look for her class and take a class from her. I'm also thinking I may just do a day if I can't find someone to share a room with me.

Have some looking on the computer to do, see how my eBay stuff is doing, and then stitch - Happy Stitching!

Started the Day with A Headache

This morning I woke at 4 am with a Headache. Took my migraine pill, and went back to bed......still didn't go away. UGH

Was up and enjoying Kitty for a little while before heading to Micheal's to pick up some DMC floss for Katt's Christmas Stocking that will be next to work on. I need to get a light blue for the background. I'll probably get a hand dyed fabric for it.

I now need to roll the floss on the spools. Now I have all the floss I need for the stocking. I have already got the pattern "blown up" so I can use it for marking as I work on. I'm actually looking forward to getting this started.

I went over to Centralia for lunch with a friend. We hadn't been together in over 6 months. We used to have lunch about once a month. We had an awesome lunch. It's a new Deli in town.

I was back home by 1:30 pm. It gave me plenty of time to put stuff away. I went downstairs and decided to do another floss tube. This one is my Quilt UFO's flosstube video. I was more relaxed on this one. So, if anyone is interested, I showed the applique work I've got going. It's not all the stuff I'm doing but it's stuff that I posted about on here - so if one doesn't know where I am with it - it's on the video! lol

Last night I worked on the backstitching. I wanted to see how she would look with the backstitches. I still have the shawl to do, but will do that after I'm done. I did start on the branches above her head. I'm doing it with the stair step method I do. I'll be working it to the top at an angle. Then I'll continue toward the right. When that's done, I'll turn it over and work the rest of the branches upside down.

I worked the fence in and finished that this afternoon. I was doing it as backstitching goes, but took it out and did it over. The second time I did it, I did "long stitches" to make the fence stand out. I like it better that way.

So, with a headache this morning....this afternoon.....and still now, I'm still moving. I'm not going to let this headache stop my day! I have too much I want to get done, and I can't if I try to sleep it off all the time. I haven't had a headache in over 4 months - that's a good sign for me - and I'm hoping this will go away by tomorrow.

Tomorrow is Saturday and no clue what tomorrow will bring. Hoping I'll be doing some craft but time will tell.

OH! I watched how to make an "envelope bag" and I'm going to make a couple for my scroll frames! I need to pick up some batting that has glue on the back. Then I'm going to work on making a couple of them. I have the fabric....the only down side is that I'll be sewing on my machine **laughing outloud!**

Gorgeous night sky! Happy Stitching!

Busy Day of Stitching Today!

Today I was up early - again, no surprise....one of these days I may change that intro! I was up with Kitty waiting for me at the door. She stays close to the house now.

We spent the morning watching and listening to FlossTube "groupies." I watched three that I enjoyed. I watch part of 3 others but they talked for 15 minutes before even showing their stuff. So, I went on to something else.

While watching the tube, I worked on my HAED challenge. I got another 150 stitches in. It's coming along. At least I can start to see the design.

After I finished off the FlossTube views, I worked on laundry. While laundry was going on, and Kitty was on my lap....I worked on Nantucket Rose. While working on the Rose, I noticed I'm short of floss! I sent a message to the shop that helps me out. Hopefully the floss will arrive next week. lol

I'm just enjoying my time with Kitty most days! She follows me all over the place. It's almost like having a 2 year old around the house. At least I don't have to do all the stuff a 2 year old needs. I just have to try and keep Kitty happy! Go figure.

Happy Stitching!

Enjoying My Day, Baking, and Bowling!

Today I started early. Nothing new there!

Waited to hear from Cherrill this morning. I decided to go ahead and bake my bread.

I took Cherrill her bread and came back to bake the second one. I made it a garlic bread. Turned out pretty good actually. I'm getting better at this! Loving my sourdough bread and surprised Patrick hasn't gotten tied of it yet. I do enjoy making bread! I've been getting at least one done a week.

I spent time working on my cross stitch. I got a few more stitches in on my challenge. I also got more stitches in on the Nantucket Rose. I'm getting closer to getting the hair done....oh, yea, I guess I've been saying that for a while......let's see how long it take to actually get it done!

We went bowling today....won 2 games. Nick and JoAnne (our Sunday partners) bowled for our Wednesday partners. We bowled good, just not good enough. I bowled a 135, 189, 197. Just took a whole game to figure it out! Patrick bowled another 636 series. He's averaging 200 games in the last 3 weeks.  I just wish I could get up there too!

Happy Stitching!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Today started out early. I was up and over to Cherrills. She was so sweet, she gave me a box of chocolate for all the work I do for her. Then I headed over to Ruth's. She gave me her fitbit because she got a new one. So, now I have another fitbit. It's a little younger than mine.

Finally got back home. Then I posted more stuff on eBay. Needed to sell more stuff to get out of the house. I even posted some of my quilt magazines. That took a while today. I was working on laundry at the same time. Once the posting was done, I vacuumed and mopped the kitchen floor. Was tired of looking at stuff on the floor that I didn't get picked up.

Once all that was done, I finally got back to stitching on my Nantucket Rose. I've got most of the hair done now. I'm getting ready to work the top of the tree.

Patrick brought me a balloon with "LOVE" on it. It made my day!

We went out to eat and then came back home. I'm working on sourdough bread again. Need to cook it tomorrow.

Now it's time to get back to stitching. Happy Stitching!

A Day For Brazilian Embroidery

Today started out fast. I was up just as Patrick left. I drove to Cherrill's to help her out. I had called to see if she wanted to go to our meeting, but she had someone coming and then needed to go into town in the afternoon. So, I had her put the date on the calendar for our next meeting.

I was able to get the stump done. I really didn't have a lot to do, but it did get done. Pat C and I ended up helping Jeannette get organized with her BE threads. She got some threads from a friend of hers that was in quilting with her. It was a BIG mess. We had to look up the name of the threads and figure out what weight the threads were. So, we marked them as Lola, Glory, Iris, and Frost. The threads she had were actually from Brazil.

It worked out okay with not having her with me. Phil needed me to go shopping afterwards. I have been having fun shopping for them. I also borrowed the webcam from them.

So, when I got home, I tried out the webcam and was able to video a piece. I did an introduction and WIP's. I showed what I'm working on for cross stitch and I also showed what I'm looking forward to doing next.

Once can check it out at:

My Flosstube video

I was at this point last night.

And after I did the video, I was able to add some more stitches! I'm really happy with the way it came out! I will be working on it some more tonight.....or not. Not sure what I'll be able to get in....so it may be tomorrow. I have more laundry that didn't get done today to do tomorrow. I'm planning on working on my cross stitch after I post a few more things for eBay. Need to keep making money.

Looking forward to getting more done on her. May we all be Happy Stitching!

Another All Day of Bowling

This morning we were up early so Patrick could take me to join up with Kim and the others. We then headed to Mt St Helens, OR. It is a long drive at times. We arrived a little early and stopped at Taco Bell to get lunch. I had a taco salad. Then it was time to go bowling! I bowled a 163, 163, 180. My average stayed the same. I lost the first two games to a "vacant" person BY ONE POINT! Ugh! But I did win the other two games.

We were home a little earlier than normal. All because of two people missing from one team. We got back at a good time. I got my bars out and cut them out for Dan. Then I cut a few more for Patrick's lunch and took a couple to Kim and Theresa.

I got about 100 stitches in on my cross stitch before we had to go bowling again.

I'm loving getting her face done. Now I'm working on the hair. I'll get some of the tree going tomorrow when I get working on it again.

We went bowling tonight, and Patrick bowled a 667 series! At least someone was bowling good! I bowled a 156, 187, 156. That didn't help me at all!! I lost a pin in my average. So now I'm 173 average and not 174. UGH!!

It's funny, I was thinking the other day, how this blog is almost like a "secret diary!" One of those things were we think of things to write down and put away in the night stand or hide it under the bed. Funny part, why would anyone want to read someone's diary? Why not, it's fun to see what they do....well, for me, I'm boring...so not sure why anyone would read this. LOL

Kitty was in the garage. I'm done with my blog and I'm hoping to get more done on my cross stitch! Happy Stitching!!

Saturday, February 11, 2017

Enjoyable Afternoon

This morning I was up early - nothing new there...and enjoyed some time with Kitty while Patrick slept. He didn't get up till around 10 am, so I didn't get over to Cherrill's till 10:30 am.

We decided to go to the Batman Lego movie. We had about 2 hours to wait, so I worked on the Nantucket Rose cross stitch. I have the face done and working on the hair now. It's really coming along too! Was able to get about 200 stitches in before we headed to the movies.

It was a little funny and a little silly, but it was entertaining, if one doesn't count for the fact that I was tired when watching it. After the movies we headed down to Kelso Red Lobster. We had an awesome dinner. I did noticed the prices have gone up. But the meal was good.

Came home and I made a Homemade Kit Kat bar.

It's in the refrigerator now. I wanted to make something for Dan for Valentines Day, since I can't do anything for my kids. This way, I can do something for one of them. lol

Got home to find my "happy mail" waiting for me.

Loved the note that Erik sent to me! I laughed when I saw it! Told my Instagram followers that I had to frog some of my SAL. I ordered one skein but paid over $2 for the shipping, and Erik was sweet by giving me 2 skeins. I'm thrilled. Worth working with him!!

Tonight I'll be back to working on Nantucket Rose.

Yesterday when I was at mom's, I saw the quilt she's quilting now. She had it on the bed to see if it would go with the wall hanging she just finished and put up in the bedroom.

I love the quilting she's doing on this one.

This is big enough for their King size bed.

She got the quilting pattern from the newspaper clipping that were saved and we bought for the patterns. She worked out the design with some of the patterns in the newspapers.

Happy Quilting!!

A Busy Day Between Two Groups

I was up early today. Patrick was off to work and I was getting what little time I could in with Kitty. Then headed over to the neighbors to help her with her socks. After that came home. Patrick was back from work, he took the day off.

I headed over to Walmart to get a cat scratchier. Trying to get Kitty to stop scratching the stairs. After Walmart went to moms to meet up with all the quilters. I was the first one there....and by 10 am they were just starting to show up. I had to leave by then to head up to Olympia. It was Quilts of Valor day because Tuesday was cancelled. We had an awesome turn out and tons of quilts came in. We have 38 quilts for Drexal Center. We were trying to get 50 quilts by April and it looks like it will work out. I'm hoping we will be done with doing groups, as we should be doing individuals. We have to have 15 quilts for presentation next Wednesday and I'm thinking about going. Judy brought dad's quilt top to the meeting! It's Awesome!! She did a great job on it. We showed it to the group.

On the way home I stopped at moms to have her take the quilt to Kathleen A. to quilt it. I bought the backing for the fabric and Judy gave me some batting for it. Mom's going to drop off the quilt to get quilted. Got to show it to the quilters before they left.

While I was there, dad was sick. Had mom call the doctors to get him in. Come to find out he ate a handful of peanuts last week and was paying for it today. He's on a liquid diet for a couple weeks. Not what he wants to be on, but he keeps eating what he's not supposed to. lol

Came home and worked a little on my Nantucket Rose cross stitch. I know I need to work on the HAED (Heaven and Earth Designs). I'm ready to get working on her hair. I was thinking of changing the color but since I bought the floss for the color in the pattern, I'll keep it. I think she's blonde anyway.

Tonight I'll work on my cross stitch and enjoy Kitty in my lap. Guess she was in the house with Patrick most of the day. She's very good about going in the garage at night too, so I guess you can say she's now my cat. And I'm loving it!

Happy Stitching!

A Day With Friends At Quilting

Today I was enjoying not having to get up early...and then I did. Kitty was out and about after Patrick left. He always opens the garage door for her when he leaves. I couldn't figure out if she was outside or inside. She just showed up when I opened the door.

We spent part of the morning together. It's almost like having a 2 year old in the house. She follows me around and if she doesn't see me, she meows to find me.

She's been sticking with me ever since she got back from the vets. Today was the first day she was ready to get around more. Played more. She's outside now, and I'll check on her later to get her in the garage. Just hope she doesn't wake me up at 11:30 pm to go in the garage.

I headed out around 10 am to the post office. I was thrilled to see more stuff sold on eBay. Now I've got 3 things I'm waiting on to sell. Then I'll post what's left or add more on Monday or Tuesday. They usually sell on the weekends. During the week they don't move at all.

Headed to the quilt shop after getting a $1 large ice tea at McD's. When I arrived, I wondered if anyone was going to be there. Shortly after that, they started arriving. We had a good time. They talked about doing a quilt for a donation. We picked out a pattern and everyone picked their blocks they want to do.

I got all the flags done. (background of flags) I need to get the blue for the blue part of the flag. I need to baste that part one and get working on this.

Came home around 2 pm and Kitty came in to spend the rest of the day with me. I worked on my cross stitch.

Had some of it done last night and worked on it more with Kitty in my lap.

I was able to get this much done and pretty much caught up. Now I'll be getting the next part tomorrow. Trying to decide if I want to keep it out and work on the next part or put it away for a little bit.

I'm still working on finishing a few things. I need to get back to the HAED project and get moving on that. Plus I WANT to finish the Nantucket Rose. I even have 2 more things lined up to work on after I get them done.....ugh...ugh...ugh. PLUS I'm finding more patterns I want to do! OUCH

In the meantime, stay Happy Quilting!
