Another Beautiful Day While Out And About

Today started out early, and we were out the door by 9:30 am. Patrick wanted to get some potting soil that was on sale. We went to Ace Hardware and picked up 10 bags of 2 cubic feet dirt. Loaded that up so fast. Came home, traded cars and headed to the casino.

We did good at the casino, nothing to jump up and down about, but it went well. On the way home we stopped at Safeway and did our shopping. Still haven't won the monopoly give-a-way yet, but I keep getting the tickets. We came home, unloaded and got about 30 mins of our time in when mom called.

We were invited out to dinner with my parents and sister-in-law. We went to a 'new' restaurant. It really isn't new, because there were other restaurants in the same building. This one was new as far as ownership. The food was good. I was surprised at how well it was. It's more like the old fashioned restaurants that we went to as kids. Now at least we have one more place we can go to when we can't decide.

Patrick was telling me about the flowers coming up on the side of the house. I just had to go check it out.

Love these flowers! There are three flowers to one stem. Really pretty.

Since I was out all day, I wasn't able to get any quilt related things done. I do have the flag right here, waiting to be appliqued to the pole. Hopefully I can get some work done tomorrow, but I find that weekends just don't work out for me and my crafts. No worries, life is good! Happy Quilting!
