Too Many Doctor Appointments!

I was up at 6:30 this morning. Not my favorite time to get up, but had to because I needed to leave the house by 7:20 a.m. I had a Physical Therapy appointment at 8 am. Since I was early, went to moms to use the bathroom and found her garage was up. I went into the house through the garage door to find her asleep. So, I went to the bathroom, then left her a note. As I was leaving, I found a stack of stuff for me. I grabbed it and headed to PT. Since Bob is in California, I had the other gal that works with him. The best part is - she good! He picked the right person to work with him. She worked me over, and I have a feeling I'm going to hurt tonight!

After my PT, I headed to Dutch Brothers for some tea, then to Phil's to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! My boy turned 40 today! Hard to believe! We sat and chatted on the couch, going over the stuff mom gave me. He took the newspapers that had him in them. There was one of Patrick as well. Then we went through the recipes that were from grandmother Wineland's stuff. He kept them. Some were ones of moms. He said he can substitute the eggs for sour cream or something else. He took some good recipes, but I really didn't need them, so it worked out.

Came home and got some laundry going. Then realized I forgot to go to Colleen's to drop off the boxes she needed for the garage sale in Sept. So, as I was leaving, Patrick was coming back from golf. He told me I needed to be back by 12:15, since we had to leave for Olympia - yet again!

I made it to Colleen's. Picked up a quilt that is done, and something else. Then I gave her the "quilt as you go" quilt. Gave her some backing as well. We talked about what she could do to get the back attached to the quilt. She had a good idea, so I told her to go for it. After a few minutes, I headed back home to find I had 15 mins before we were to leave.

My order of backing and batting arrived today, so I had to get the reimbursement out before we left. Then I brought the stuff in the house and Patrick put it all downstairs. I took out the backing fabric and it's nice blue fabric that we needed.

Off to Olympia for my follow up appointment with my doctor. We went over my tests I have been doing the last couple weeks. She wants me to see the surgeon about the lump in my breast, just to be sure it's what everyone thinks it is. She said it's harder than it should be, so she wants to be really sure it's supposed to be liquid and not something else. I agreed. Then we talked about the kidney and she's going to check with my kidney doctor to see what other tests she wants. She also told me my biotin pills could be affecting my test results, so to go off them for a bit to see if that's the case. At least I can still use the shampoo. I had a good visit. Then Patrick had his oncology appointment with my doctor and not his. She's awesome. She told him about some protein powder that is clear. It's better to take that, instead of his creamy protein. Patrick is going to talk with his other doctor to see if she thinks that's too much protein for one kidney or if he can take it as well. Just before his appointment, I went and got my glasses. I really like them better!

We then went to Dairy Queen for supper, sharing a 6-piece chicken basket. Then home. Once we were home, it was pretty much getting laundry moving and watching TV for a bit. I wanted to get back to my games, so I've been playing on them.

Hopefully, we are done with appointments in Olympia for a while. Friday, Monday and today make for a long day each day! Tomorrow is another day - I'm HOPING tomorrow will be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Prepping And Casino

Yesterday we headed to the casino. We didn't get the gifts that we were supposed to get. They changed it. So, we played anyway. We did pretty good. Played for about 4 hours then headed home.

I had to prep for my colonoscopy (today). It is not fun. I ended up staying in the bedroom where it was close to the toilet. The stuff I took is awful, because my stomach doesn't like it. So, I continued to keep drinking it - and again this morning. I have the procedure at 1 pm today.

Chances are will not post again today. We will see. There really isn't much to post about, so I will just let you know I will be back on schedule tomorrow. 😀

So, I was not Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

A Good Saturday For Once LOL

This morning, I was showering when Patrick told me my niece and nephew were coming with their families in 10 minutes. I thought I could be done in time. NOPE!

Got out of the shower and hear Patrick chatting away with the nieces and nephews. It was so good to see Zac and Jordan with Nate and Alicia! They brought their little girls! It was so much fun! I sat with Alicia's daughter for quite a while. She was happy with me, but Zac's daughter wasn't sure of me. She's a big girl too. They were up for Patricia's wedding (my sister-in-law's sister). Mom was going as well. Christine and Patrick declined going. So, it was really nice to see them. We were not invited to the wedding and that's okay with me. I haven't been to that "kind" of wedding and mom said it was different. I am okay with different, just with those I really care for and keep in touch with. With Patricia, I hardly see her, and she doesn't seem to want to be around me much. So, again, was okay with not being invited.

After they left, I did my exercises and got my eye patch on. Then I pulled out my stitching and got to work. I was getting a lot done when Bryan called. So, I spend a couple hours on the phone with him working on the findagrave.com pages adding family to each other. He had the numbers they are associated with, and I keyed in the parents' information to hook them together.

Then I came back out to work on my stitching and watch TV with Patrick. When the news was on, I put my earbuds in and listened to my book. It's close to being done. Once Patrick was done, he changed the channel to stuff I would watch. So, my day was stitching and watching TV.

I am happy to say, I was able to get a lot done. I tried to order the white floss on Amazon, I just hope I got the right stuff. I may have to go to Micheal's to see if they have it. At this rate, we will see. It's coming along and I'm really pleased with the results.

Tomorrow I will be prepping for a colonoscopy on Monday. So, I will need to be close to home after 3 pm. It's going to be fun! Really looking forward to this! NOT!!

At least I might be able to get more stitching in to make it easier to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Physical Therapy, Olympia And Out To Eat

Today was another busy day. Patrick was off to Olympia for his appointment. Then I was off to my Physical Therapy appointment. By the time I came back, Patrick was home, and I had 20 minutes to get ready for another trip to Olympia for our appointments. Patrick had his MRI and CAT scans, while I had a mammogram and possible ultrasound.

We were early in Olympia, so I ended up waiting 30 minutes for Cindy to find me. She picked up the 2 quilts we had in question. We talked about this. I showed her the problems with the quilts, and she said she was going to have to have a chat with the gal. I told her I hated to return them, but in the condition, they were in, I couldn't give them out. She took them. We chatted for a while. I do like Cindy. She's positive where we need positive.

After meeting with Cindy, I went for my appointment. I was let in and had the mammogram done. It was sore having to be picked "to death." But I got used to it and bit my tongue for the pinching involved. Then I ended up waiting about 20 mins for the doctor to come and tell me what I had. We went into the room and chatted. He told me, it was the same as it was last year. Fluid in the lump. It's from surgery, so it's common and that I could have the ultrasound done if I wanted, but it would still be the same resolution. I told him I'm happy with that, and no, I didn't need the ultrasound for proof. Then I was happy to leave.

We stopped at Dick's Brewery for supper and then came on home. By that time, it was 5:30 pm. What a day.

I tried to work on my stitching but really wasn't in the mood to work on it. I did get some work done, so that's a plus.

I was able to roll the piece. It's still close to the bottom but I can still stitch there without any trouble. I was able to get to the middle area before I decided I just wasn't in the mood.

Of course, Sophie wasn't having any of it. She didn't want me working on my piece and was getting in my way. Another reason I wasn't quiet there. So, I enjoyed my cat and called it done. At least a few stitches was Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Sewing, Running Around, and Stitching

Patrick was off to golfing again today. I couldn't get myself up. Seems to be my story when I sleep past 7 am.

Got up and got a few things done. Cleaned the litter box, vacuumed the house, and mopped the kitchen floor. Was tired of the spots on the floor and the threads on the carpet. Once all that was done, I headed downstairs.

I worked on the quilt that we will donate to the museum for their gala.

I sewed the blocks in rows. Now I just need to sew the rows and put a border on it. I'm going with a red. Once that is done, I will contact Grace Church and see if they would be willing to quilt it for the gala. Then I need to get another top done for us. That may be awhile, because I haven't had the time or interest in doing that yet.

Had to run to the museum to meet another QOV members from Yakima that was dropping off a quilt for us. I was thrilled. She's a sweetheart! She's got her whole family in on this as well. I left the quilt at the museum and picked up dinner at Wendy's. Patrick had his meeting for the sewer system in this area.

While he was gone, I worked on my stitching.

I was thrilled to get more done on this. The bottom right is up higher, so I can roll it soon. I am worried about the white, I may need to buy more. It's easy to work with, so not too worried about it.

I was tired of being hot, so I went outside to pick blueberries. It's a LOT cooler outside than it is in here. It's so hot, I'm sweating. We have been in a heat wave over the last 4 days. It's frustrating to be this hot and hitting 95* here. I love WA because it is a lot cooler. UGH Not this week.

I'm just thankful I could find the time to be both Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Mom's Visit And My Stitching

Today Patrick was golfing again. That's a good thing. I slept a little longer. Then I had to get up and get ready for mom to show up at 10 am. I got my exercises and eye stuff done. I didn't get a chance to brush my teeth before she came so had to wait till after.

Mom arrived and we looked over the quilts that needed binding put on. We decided to give another one to Cindy. It was bad. I almost did it, but I couldn't. I will drop it off with her on Friday. We then pulled some fabric for another kit. I got some fabric for another kit, but they need strips. I will put Nancy and mom on cutting the strips. Afterwards, I made grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch, since she didn't need to leave till about 1 pm. Patrick came home around 11 am. He went to take a nap, and I entertained mom till she let.

After mom left, I played a little bit with my games. Then I put the tablet away and while listening to my audiobook, I stitched.

I was really happy with how much I was able to get done today. I worked on the brown area, where I had stopped yesterday. Then worked my way up the steps. I am now working in the grey-blue area on the top. There is a lot of beadwork for this piece, but I'm actually looking forward to it. I want to roll it but need to get more done on the bottom right.

I should have gone downstairs to work on the quilt on the floor. I need to get those done as well. I will try and time it better tomorrow. I will work on the quilt in the morning and try to work on the stitching in the afternoon. That way I can do them both. My interest right now is on this piece. I seriously need to work on the quilt tops. If I can have a few here to go to quilters when they are done with one, it will be handy for me. And I will definitely be Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Physical Therapy, Then Stitching

Today Patrick took off for golfing again. I'm glad he's going but he's still sore. At least he is making an effort to do it.

While he was gone, I slept, then I worked on my exercises (PT). Once that was done, I came in the computer room and worked on the genealogy. I was working my great grandmother's BIRGE family. I found a few mistakes on find grave but need to make sure I can prove the mistakes. There are too many that have the name of my 3rd great grandfather. I worked on that until it was time to go to my Physical Therapy.

When I got there, Bob worked me over well! I was hurting with all he was doing to me. lol  I know I will feel it in a day or two. I've got my days scheduled for the next couple weeks.

Came home and pulled out my cross stitching. Trouble was, Sophie was having none of that. She came up and got her face and paws in my way. I ended up spending the time with her instead.

After supper I wanted to work on it some more. I was only able to get the 80 stitches that I needed to get to the next step. So, I'm falling behind. I was hoping to get t least 3 steps done. I did try to roll it, but I need to come up another step or two at the bottom before I can roll it. I will work on it.

So, my day wasn't as much fun as I wanted. I wasn't able to look forward to Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Trip To Town And Back To Stitching

This morning, Patrick left for golfing. He had a pretty good day.

Jo Pope arrived around 10 am and we got her 2 more panels to do. We also got the backing and batting for her quilt she has ready to quilt. She works fast. lol  Before she came over, I worked on cleaning up the room down there. I was putting stuff away and picking out a few things to go to Colleen for the garage sale. She's kicking butt on getting ready for the sale.

After Jo left, I headed over to Colleen's. Dropped off another quilt plus some of the fabrics I pulled out for the garage sale. We chatted for a while. Then I headed to Rite Aid, Safeway and back to Phil's. I needed to drop off a couple things to him. We had a good chat. I do love my boy! I asked if he heard from Katt and he has, so at least that connection keeps going. Headed back home with ice cream and milk. lol

It was hot on the way home. I couldn't wait to get back, but then after a while, I got used to the heat in the house. It's cooler today than it was yesterday. Thank goodness!

Patrick was napping on the couch, and I decided to work on my stitching. I've missed it for a while.

I was able to get the bottom area done, and started back up the stairs. I'm in the brown area - which is easy to tell where I left off. I had the upper area done before I worked the bottom again. Sorry it's cut off, not sure why. It's close to where I can roll it. I will give it a few more stitches before I do. May get the next set of steps done first. It is fun to work on. I really enjoy this piece. Surprisingly since I don't care for the colors. lol

My day worked out pretty good. I was able to run around with things to do, get Jo what she needed and spend the afternoon stitching - that's what I call Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Casino Day And Cleaning

This morning, I was trying to get a few things done before we headed to the casino. I had to pick blueberries and raspberries. Not only was I out there a while, but I ended up sweating by the time I came in the house. It was already hot! The sun was out, and I was killing myself by being out there picking berries! At least I was listening to my book while I was picking the berries.

Then Patrick was ready to leave. He started out in pain this morning, so I didn't think he really wanted to go to the casino. Or maybe I was hoping. We did pick up the free gift of another portable cooler that was on wheels. The plastic and the rollers were cheap, so I really don't know how long that will last if used a lot. I will see if Katt wants it. We played a couple hours. Wasn't having much luck. Don't think anyone else was either because I didn't see any jackpots today.

We stopped at Panda Express for supper. I was surprised when Patrick suggested it. Guess he likes it better than I thought he did.

Came home and I went downstairs to do some cleaning. I needed to get the fabric put away and decided since I had to cut backing and batting, I would cut the panels so that it was easier to just take one. Jo Pope is coming tomorrow to get another set of backing and batting as well as another panel to work with. She's been a great help lately! We are still looking for helpers.

This is part of the stack I was working on. I folded another stack this high as well. We have plenty of panels to work with. Some people are picky as to which ones they want to do. I tend to grab one and put it on the wall. We have a lot of the same thing as well. With all the branches accounted for in here, we just need to get to work and get them done. I'm still waiting to see about finishing the one on the wall or the one on the floor. The one on the floor I think I'm going to give to the museum for their gala. I may ask the church to work on the quilting of it. I will chat with Colleen about that.

Then I came up and worked on my cross stitch. Patrick took my phone before I got a photo of the work I did. I will show it tomorrow after I get a few more stitches done. I did about 300 stitches tonight. Which made me Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Presentation Day For Eight Veterans

Today, I needed to get moving early. I ended up working on our Facebook page this morning. I was surprised to find several people are now on the FB page. I just worked on it last night and this morning. at least I added the veterans that were awarded a quilt today.

They were - not in order -

David Beeck, Army Michael Farkas, Navy Steven Macomber, Army Dennis Canfield, Air Force James Pederson, Army Ronald Swihart, Navy Vonlee McDougall, Army Thomas Hicker, Navy

We had a great presentation. Everything was calm and it felt good to have a presentation go smoothly once again. Joann decided she's going to Mossyrock QOV group. I wished her well and told her we will miss her. Mom is going to collect all the fabric she has. I will try and get a thank you card off to her. She was easy to work with, and I believe Connie talked her into leaving us. Shame, because Mossyrock is a half hour south from us. I had forgot David's quilt at the house, so ended up coming back home to pick it up. Then head back to the museum.

Came home afterwards, feeling pretty good. We have a good group of members now and it's easy to get stuff done. We are working better now.

I worked on some QOV things when I got home. I need to get the membership done and I want to get it off in the mail by next month.

After all that, I played for a bit and then pulled out my cross stitch. I wanted to get a few more stitches done, since I couldn't get them done the last few days.

I was able to get more brown done. I'm in the upper area now. I started with the area by the purple on the right. It's coming along nicely. It was okay to work on, even though it was hot today. I'm sweating now and it's almost 11 pm. It was in the 90's today. Not the kind of heat I can deal with.

The best thing is, we gave 8 quilts away today to honor our veterans. Then I was able to find the time to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Friday - And A Forgetful Day At That!

This morning, I wanted to sleep in but got up anyway. When nature called, I know I won't be able to go back to sleep.

I was working on laundry, but that didn't get me far. Then I decided after some thinking, to go downstairs. I wanted to see what I could do with some of the "kits blocks" mom had that needed to be sewn. I worked on a few. Then I started laying out the quilt. I need to do a quilt for the museum to auction off. So, now is the time to do it.

I am thinking of this. I'm not sure if I will stay with it or change it around. I will have Patrick check it out and see what he thinks. It was fun to lay out. I may have to change a couple blocks but that's pretty easy.

Then I decided to come up here. I wanted to work on my cross stitching. Patrick came in and wanted to watch a Hitchcock movie and we did. Halfway through it, Bob called to see if I was coming to my PT appointment. DANG! I forgot!! So, he said come at 4 pm. Then called me 10 minutes later to come at 3 pm. So, I ended up running over to my Physical Therapy appointment. He gave me a couple more things to do as well.

Stopped at moms. She was working on the quilt that I sent over for a label. Trouble was it was in really bad shape. One of the quilts that was mailed to me had holes in it and the points where really bad. So, I told mom I would give it to Cindy to see what she wants to do with it.

Came home and Patrick was fixing supper. After supper I got busy with getting some stitches in my cross stitching but then changed my mind and played my games.

I added the purple sparkly floss to fill in a couple areas. Now I just need to sit and enjoy working on it. When I had to leave, it took the enjoyment out of it, I guess.

We will see how it goes tomorrow, as I have a presentation to do. I also got another Facebook page going with the Veterans Memorial Museum QOV. I needed to get it started. Once it gets going, I can add more to the group to help me post stuff on it. I need about 4 administrators to take over my job. lol

I still can't believe I forgot my appointment! I had a reminder yesterday! At least I could find the time to be Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Meeting Day At The Museum

Today we had our meeting and then Saturday we will have our presentation for our veterans. I need to work on getting another FB page going for our group. I will try and work on that tomorrow or this weekend. I seem to have a ton of stuff to do. At least some of the scraps went out the door and will be worked on by members. We still have more, but those quilts will help when they are done. I may end up doing a couple of them. I need to get one done for the museum to auction off. It was a good meeting. We had about 8 of us. Not as many as usual, but that's okay.

Came home and had to bring the quilts that mom forgot, the sweater Nancy forgot, and the dish that Georgie forgot. Nancy called so say she was bringing mom, and they were coming to pick up the quilts and sweater. I gave them Georgie's stuff too. lol

Once they left, I had to work on my eye patch. So, time went fast. I just wanted to play my games, which I did. But then I needed to get some emails out for an order, membership and my state coordinator. Once all that was done, I could relax. Putting everything away was tiring. lol

So, as much as I would love to say I was - I wasn't Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Casino Day

This morning, we waited for one of my volunteers to come before going to the casino. She dropped off 3 quilt tops.

Then we headed to the casino. Where we then lost the money, we took to gamble with. But again, we were there a good 4 hours. We tried a couple machines that we haven't played very often. We did good on one, but the other not so much. By 3:30 we headed home. Stopped and got gas while we were at it.

After getting home, I went downstairs to cut the backing and batting for the 3 quilts. I'm going to give the church 2 of them and Colleen the other one. I have a ton of stuff to take tomorrow for our meeting. Hopefully it will go pretty well. I need to print out my agenda as well. I did get the backs going for washing. I just realized I needed to get the last backing in the wash. So, looks like I'm going to be up late tonight, which isn't unusual.

I pretty much kept busy so I didn't have time to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Busy Day - Trip To Costco

Today, I was enjoying the morning but had to work on a couple things before we headed to Olympia. I needed to get my groups membership going.

Of course! While I was working on it, I had the envelope right there by my side. When Patrick said it was time to leave, I looked for the envelope and it was gone! No one but me was in the office! So, where the heck did it go?! I fretted over it all the way up to Olympia, racking my brain on what I did with it.

Had my eye appointment and I'm close to having the stye gone. So, I still have to do the heat on my eyes about 4-5 times a day. But then I said while I was there, let's do my eye exam. He was quick and it was like the older eye appointments. I loved Dr. Burkhart in Centralia because he did a lot more. He had the machine that took a photo of the eye. This was old school. I was okay with that. Then I went across the hall and ordered new glasses. I think these are so flimsy that I wanted a better pair. The guy that helped me was awesome. Patrick wasn't any help because his neck was hurting, and he couldn't move much. So, we looked, and he found me a pair I really liked. I didn't want purple because, honestly, I'm getting sick of seeing purple.

After all that we went to Costco. Spent another $300 there. It was all food!! OMG! Food is expensive anymore. Patrick wasn't in the mood to shop around either! He was walking like he's 80+ years old. He's even looking like he's 80+ years old. I don't know how much longer he can stand it. He's upset because he hasn't been able to golf this summer so far. I don't know what to do but watch. I can't convivence him to do anything, so I just sit back and watch.

We stopped at Pizza Hut on the way home. He must have been hungry because he wanted the Pizza box with the bread sticks and cinnamon sticks. I ordered the chicken wings because I wanted those. But OMG, he ordered a crap load for us. I'm not sure if he's going to eat it all. Said the half we didn't eat is for leftover tomorrow. Not too crazy about leftovers but okay.

Came home after dropping stuff off at Phil's. Then we came home.

I had to find that envelope of money for the dues!! I started going through everything. I went through file folders and the like. I found it in the file folder when I checked for the second time! UGH. Then I started entering everyone. I had to check with Carol to see if she paid me, and she said she thought they did it online. I checked our list. Found her and Colleen are good for another year. So, I need to give Colleen back her check.

Now that I have stuff done for QOV, I'm done for the day. I didn't get a chance to work on my crafts. Boohoo!! I wanted to do some more work. But it wasn't meant to be. Tomorrow is the day we go to the casino, since that's the one thing Patrick looks forward to. I can't say no, since he has more issues than I do, and he needs to enjoy what time he has left. So, I was wishing I was Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Enjoying Monday With A Good Friend

This morning, I had a lot of stuff to do before going to the meeting.  It was just Sandy V and I. But I had to stop at the church to pick up a quilt, then to the bank to drop off money. Post office was on the way, so I mailed Bryan's letters. Next to Dutch Brothers for a drink and then Staples to drop off my return to Amazon.

Finally, to the grange. Sandy was there when I got there. We talked about Seminar and all the stuff she was able to give out as gifts. They have decided to do in person Seminars every other year now. That's going to be interesting. They want to try and have it all over the US. So, someone is going to have to do the research in the different areas. We talked about the stuff she picked up at Seminar. It's really cool. She had an awesome time. I do miss that I didn't go, but for the classes offered, it wasn't worth it for me.

Stopped at moms to drop off the quilt I got at the church and then help with some "kits" to be done. She has enough red block kits for 3 quilts. I'm going to take them Thursday to see who can make them and see if they will put them in a quilt.

Came home to find 3 boxes of quilts. We received 3 quilts from Ann Tiernan and they are really pretty. We are getting back to where we need to be with quilts. I also got a call that one of the volunteers has 3 more tops to drop off. I'm looking forward to seeing them.

After a while of being hot, I decided to try and get some stitching done. I was able to get about 200 stitches in. I really wasn't in the mood but wanted to get some stitching done no matter what. I also noticed I have some stitches that need to be filled in with the same type of floss as the white area. I will try and see about getting those done. Easy enough.

Even though we gabbed more than stitched today, I was able to find the time for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Casino Day

Today was Sunday in case you didn't know.

We had our free gifts at the casino today. I thought we were just going to pick up the free gift. Patrick decided to stay and play. So, we got our cooler and put it in the car, then went to play. We played for about 4 hours. Then came home with about $700. So, a good day for us. It was crowded so we decided not to stay.

Came home and I had to do a letter for Bryan along with a few other things. By the time I was done, and the bread was baked, it was time to call it a night. The day went fast, and I couldn't find my time for Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Not The Best Saturday Of The Year

Today, both Patrick and I slept in. He needed it since he didn't get much sleep last night. I was able to sleep even though he was having a rough time of it. Most of the time he is either tossing and turning or sleeping on the couch. He did go to the couch for half the night.

I played my games. I wanted to just do nothing. Then when I thought about watching TV, Patrick took a nap on the couch. So, for about 3 hours while he slept, I played my games. Then I pulled out my cross stitching and got to work.

I was able to get a lot done today. I finished the step row I was working on and started on the next row. It's coming along nicely and it's going pretty fast. Guess that's because I want to work on cross stitching. Funny how I go from one thing to another, yet on this one, I'm ready to try and finish it. Working a little each day makes it easy to do that.

I like the flowers in the top left. There is more to do up there, but that's when the beads come in. Plus, there is some backstitching that goes up there as well. It's going along nicely. I have about one more step row to do and then I can roll it.

Tomorrow is another day. I'm hoping Patrick will be feeling better. We will be going out to the casino to get our "free" gift. We decided this month we would go and get them. I think Katt will like them for her trips in her Jeep.

As long as I can be busy with my crafts, I can't complain. I have often said, if it was me, I wouldn't do Chemo or Radiation. I still feel that way. I want to have an enjoyable life and not one that makes me sick or tired all the time. Each to their own.

Now that I'm busy with my cross stitching, I'm Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Quilting Day At Mom's - HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

This morning, I was ready to go after getting a few things done.

I thought about getting tea but decided not to. So, I arrived before everyone else at moms. We talked about all the squares and blocks she's getting ready for the group to work on. There must be enough blocks there to make about 6 quilts if not more. She's working on the red ones, which I need for the quilt downstairs. I'm going to take them to the meeting and see if we could work on putting the top together, ready to sew on. I hope the group will be willing to do them.

I worked on my embroidery.

I wanted to get more done on this. I am almost finished with the leaves in the top left. I did all but that last one. It's coming along. It's looking pretty good. I have a lot more leaves to finish before working on the rest of it. I'm doing it in the order they say, and my train of thought - ground up. Meaning stump comes out of the ground first then the leaves, then the flowers. In otherwards, the order of nature.

Came home and relaxed a bit. Not long, had to do the mask on my eyes first. Then I came in the computer room and worked on the TAYLOR family history. I wanted to get dad's uncles all done. I worked on findagrave.com and was able to get them in my "custody." I'm filling in missing pieces. I can't find enough information on one of Uncle Milton's wives, but I'm working on it. I sent a couple emails asking if they were buried in that cemetery.

Then I gave it a break and went into the living room to watch TV with Patrick.

The Scent of Old Roses is the piece I'm working on. So, I was able to get a lot of stitches in. It's coming along fast for me. I'm enjoying working on it. I have a few more stitches to put in and then I will roll it. I like it. Not my colors, but I do like it so far. I do know I will have a crap load of beads to add to it when I'm done. I don't want to do them as I go. It's going to be the last thing I do on this. But all those empty places are for beads.

Now, I'm ready to call it done. Fireworks are going off as I type this and it's only close to 9 pm. It's going to be a loud night! But then it's the 4th of JULY!! A celebration of a country that has worked hard to keep it's freedom. That may not be for much longer as things are going, but we can hope and pray we will still be going in another 100 years. My ancestors help build this country, and I have more respect for it then most. My family has served this country and will continue to.

And I will keep being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Hard To Believe It's Thursday

Yet another day goes by. Thursday...not Wednesday....not Monday....Thursday.

I ended up playing games in the morning. Wasn't in the mood for much. Then as the afternoon came in view, I realized I needed to get off my butt and do something. I was able to get some laundry done today. Felt good to get caught up.

Then I went and worked on my beading.

Tried to get 3 rows but only made it to 2. The noise looks funny right now. I'm hoping it will get better the more I do. I do see the body of her coming in now. Funny how the coloring is almost the same as the bricks. I didn't realize that till I started working on her.

Then after supper decided to listen to my audiobook (still) and try to get a few stitches in on my cross stitch.

I got the upper left where I needed it, then went back down to the bottom of the dress and started working my way up. I need to get ready to roll this. It's going to take a few more stitches before I can. It's coming to life, and I'm surprised at how much I have gotten done.

Patrick was doing a lot better today. His neck is still bothering him, but I can't get him to go get a massage to make it relax. Stubborn man! Most men are like him, too proud to do anything that would help them. They would rather suffer. UGH!

I made sure today was Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Hello Wednesday!

This morning, we were out the door by 7:45 am to be in Olympia by 8:45 am. I had to get my blood tested and something else. lol Then we headed back stopping at the casino.

We got to the casino around opening. It was fun to see people lined up. We played a good 3 hours, stopping to have some fries for lunch. Then we played a little longer. About that time Patrick was getting tired. So, we called it done and headed home. The good news is, we came home with $100 more than we took. lol

After getting home, Patrick napped, and I played my games on the tablet.  It was a quiet day, as Patrick was trying to get a nap in. He didn't sleep well last night. This cold with cancer isn't that pretty. I think he's got a cold from when we went to the funeral services last week. Mom was getting over hers when Patrick was getting started. He scared me a little. I thought he was going to be as bad as he was in December. He said today, he's thinking of taking a 2 week break from chemo. I'm glad to hear that, but he's waiting to see what the test results say first.

He went to bed, and I stayed up to work on my cross stitching.

I was working on the top left, and realized I started back down from the top. Which is fine, just surprised me the direction I was going. I may get back down to the bottom and work on that area first because I need to roll this again. I'm getting close to the halfway point, and that's close to my other bar. I should think about getting a bar clap that I can use when sitting done. Just not there yet. I can't seem to be happy with the ones I've seen. So, I'm afraid to spend a lot of money on one to find out it isn't what I wanted.

Finished an audiobook, started another, and was Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Not My Favorite Day

I know, TMI! But today was a 24 hour urine test day. Not my favorite day at all!

I did take the time to work on my cross stitch project.

Close to starting the next set of stairs on this one. I do like how it's coming along, but man alive! There will be a ton of beads to add to this one. I'm okay with it, but it's going to take almost as long to put the beads on as it is stitching this piece.

Patrick was doing better today and spent most of the day in the living room. He ate some but not as much as I think he should. At least he's a lot better today than he was yesterday. I was getting worried I'd be calling 911 again.

I was enjoying my books and watching a couple BritBox detective shows. I finished one book and started another. Now, it's time to call it a night, since I have to leave by 7:30 am tomorrow morning for my tests in Olympia. Not looking forward to it. But at least I enjoyed being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Too Many Doctor Appointments!

I was up at 6:30 this morning. Not my favorite time to get up, but had to because I needed to leave the house by 7:20 a.m. I had a Physical ...
