This morning, I was up early. I wanted to get to moms before I went to physical therapy. It's a 5 min walk from mom's house.
I arrived around 9 am. We worked on looking for animal designs to do a baby quilt for Bob's granddaughter. At this rate, it will be over a year old before they get it! Then I started pulling stuff down from mom's cabinets. She wanted to go through her quilt stuff. We got about 20 minutes in when I needed to go to PT. I got a good workout at PT, and then went back to moms.
I used her chair and got down all her fabrics. She was giving a lot away to my niece. I took my fabrics before she started giving those away as well.
We organized her cabinets. The far cabinet she put QOV stuff in there. We worked on her drawers as well. She has a ton of stuff. We didn't touch the drawers or cabinets on the wall where the photo was taken. I ended up spending 3 hours with her on organizing.
Came home and couldn't figure out what I wanted to do. So, I finally sat down to work on my stitching. Patrick had the table all cleaned up and my beading was in good shape. We talked about all my beads in tubes. I need them close by, but he thought I should put them away and go get what I needed when I needed it. Told him that wouldn't work because I'd be getting up a ton! So, I will try and find a bowl that will hold some of the extras. It looks nice on the table now. I can now get back to my beads.
Instead, I worked on my stitching. This is coming along great. I'm halfway up my "stair steps" and was able to fill in the areas that were not set right. I am in the middle with the yellow area. I am almost to the halfway point on the fabric. So, I'm thinking it's 1/3 of the way done with stitching. The beads are another story.
I seem to keep helping mom do what she doesn't want to do - that's cleaning. I have plenty to do for myself but in order to keep mom happy, I need to go over and see her at least once a week. This week, we got a lot done and she didn't invite anyone over to "help" or "chat." So, it was a good visit with mom and kept me Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!
