Today Seems Like a Saturday But It's FRIDAY!

I don't know what it is about today, but it's felt like Saturday all day. Patrick took the day off, and I got up early and went for a walk. After I got back Patrick was ready to go. We went to the casino in Yelm today. A good hour ride, but it was fun.

After that we headed to the grocery store to pick up some groceries. I can't believe how the prices have gone up. Oh, well. We got enough to make it a few more days. Decided I would make a pineapple upside down cake for Monday. Not sure if my Uncle and Aunt will be here then or later in the week.

Last night I was able to get all the basting done on the Dragonflies to Flight wall hanging.

Once I had gotten all the basting done, I was able to finally get started on the applique. I like to start close to the middle and work my way out. I was happy to see I could get this much done.

After we got home and just before supper, I decided to work on the applique some more. I realized I didn't have the basting done on the border by the wing. I was able to applique that part down. I was a little worried if I hadn't done it, that I'd forget and then mess it up. I'll work on the top wing. Then I'll go back to the head, and work my way out. There is a very good reason why I keep the pattern handy. I like to check with it before I keep going.

I have a couple games to play and then I'll get back to applique. I'm really liking this pattern. Didn't think I would, but I do love these quilts. I need to make one for my Aunt for all the Christmas stuff she's given me over the years.
