QOV Presentation Day

This morning I needed to get ready for our presentation to three of our recipients. First I needed to go to Sharon Care in Centralia to see when we could present one of the WWII veterans there. He can't come out of the Care facility because of his broken leg. (Long story) So, we are going to go there to present him with his quilt.

I realized at the time, I forgot my earrings, so I went to Walmart (YEAH, I KNOW!), and braved the people to pick up some earrings. I got a nice set. There wasn't much to pick from.

Then it was time to go to our meeting before the presentations. We were talking about getting more quilts, how many quilts we had. Who we needed to give a quilt to. Who was first ect. It went on longer than we thought we would need.

So, it was time to get moving on setting up our presentation area. We had three people to honor. It was really an honor to honor them!

These are the three people that honored. (From right to left) Gayle was a Navy Veteran who served 23 years as a nurse. Daniel was an Army Veteran, and Robert was an Air Force Veteran. Daniel most be 6'6" tall! The quilt was smaller than he was!

After the services, I went to the quilt shop and picked up a quilt pattern that will work great with the stars. I'll plan of cutting some blocks for that as well. Then I went to Billie's Designer Fabrics to pick up the white thread I use for stitching.

Received a text at 4 pm that I needed to be at moms again at 8 am. So, I got a few things ready to take with me to her house. I'll be cutting some fabrics into kits. If nothing else, I'll have the kits ready.

It was time to head to bowling. I really think I'm getting back to normal, but won't count my chickens before they hatch. I bowled a 154. 191, 184. Almost back to normal anyway. We lost all four games. It wasn't that we weren't bowling good, we just didn't have enough to beat the other team. They out bowled us.

It felt good to be Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!
