Tried To Enjoy The Day Out

This morning Patrick and I had talked about going to the casino. So, when I told him I was ready, we left. That was around 11 am.

We headed to the casino. We had a limit (which is more than most) and found that we went through it ALL in 15-20 minutes. Patrick was so ticked! The slots were so tight.

We left there and headed to Walmart - Yeah! My favorite store - NOT! We picked up a few things and got some frozen chicken for supper. By the time we got home, it was 1:30 pm. Short trip out.

Patrick went out and worked in the yard since it was the first nice day in awhile. I stayed in because Debbie was on her way. When she arrived we went downstairs where she cut backing for 3 quilt tops. We chatted for a while. That poor gal has been so busy! Working on stuff has had her even busier! We got it all done and I have 2 sets to go to Colleen tomorrow. Quilts are coming in. She dropped 2 quilts off at moms and picked up 2 quilts from mom. Which means I have 6 more quilts to put the label on by Thursday. I will try and get that done this weekend.

Quilting is at moms tomorrow and I think I will go. I need to get back into seeing people that I know. I haven't seen mom in 6 weeks. She's been counting the weeks. lol

I played for awhile and then decided to work on my cross stitching.

The stair stepping is coming along. I have actually been getting a lot done. I like the way it's coming out. I'm finding that the DMC floss is so thin compared to when I first started cross stitching. I know now that I will have to double up on the threads. I was using one strand, then folded over. It's keep from having knots. Even when I do that now, I found that the crosses don't cover the area. When I tried to double up on one spot, it actually covered the whole area. I want to do that from now on, but afraid if I do, it will be very noticeable. I will have to remember to do that in the future. Just ticks me off that the DMC floss is so cheap anymore. I really do want to find Anchor threads, but they are not around the NW part of the USA. Any floss would be better than this stuff.

Today, that is how I was Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!
