Another Day That Changed As I Got Started

This morning I was up and enjoying my games. Then I decided to get going with my beading.

I was able to get 3 rows in.....

I figured I could get a good 10 to 15 rows in.....then the phone rang. You know those phone calls that you shouldn't answer but do.

My daughter in law's father called asking me if I could make some face masks for his work. I told him I would be happy to. I really am happy to do that for them.

So, downstairs I went. I figured it wouldn't take long. I wanted to get a dozen. Then I remembered I had to do a couple bigger ones, for those that are like Patrick, and the small ones doesn't work so well for him. I thought I could do 6 of each. I started out doing the bigger ones. I got 5 of them done and started on 4 of the small ones. Then Patrick said I needed some "manly" colors. So, I had to find a few more "manly" colors.

The flower one is for Mikes wife.

I now have about 18 masks made. Mike only needed 6. I told him I would do 12 so he could have some extra. At this rate, I can give a few of the rest away, and Mike can pick what he wants. I'll call him tomorrow to let him know they are done. I had told him I'd have them tomorrow for him.

Then funny part was, it took a little longer than I thought. I added more to the list and kept going. Patrick came down as said, "Do you realize it's 5:30?" All because I had supper in the oven. I came up and we had supper. Then I said, "It should only take about another hour." Yeah, right! I got carried away AGAIN, and 8 pm arrived quicker than I expected. So much for "only an hour."  Patrick didn't mind. Actually he was helping me with the elastic. He has them all ready for me to sew the elastic together and then hide them. So, I still have a little more to do tomorrow. I'm okay with that. It was nice to have something different to work on. Which means, my beading had to wait. Tomorrow!

I can actually say - today - I was Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!=

A Completely Unexpected Day!

This morning I really couldn't sleep very well. I finally got up and then was able to play games, but really didn't get a chance to.

Mom called and we chatted. I went downstairs to get a few fabrics together for my niece to work on the eagle quilts. I texted and told her to let me know when she's coming back up. Then Rita at the shop called to tell me mom's fabric was in. Mom called and said she got the message and was headed there, after she just got back from the bank. Then I decided I would work on some sewing.

I started on Susy's quilt block. It should have been easy!! Anyway, I had this much done and Patrick was going to the dump. I decided to tag along. We went to the bank - 15 mins later - we were off to the dump. We waited another 5 mins. Then he dumped everything out of the truck. It was only $11 worth of trash. Then we stopped at McD's for ice tea. I told him I missed not getting that when I went to the meetings.

Came back home and worked on the rest of the block.

My block ended up being 10 1/4" x 10 3/4". Not square! So, I kept taking it out and getting as close as I could to 10 1/2" x 10 1/2". It's still a little off, but I'm leaving it that way and giving it to Susy, so she can trim it. I won't trim it. It will work out better for her to trim it.

Once all that was done, I got a call from one of moms cousins. We chatted for 1 1/2 hours. We were chatting about her upbringing. It was interesting. I shared what I knew about her birth, but it wasn't much. I called mom and she called her later and chatted as well. We both were happy to have found her.

Then I got to work on doing more of Orville's letter. I posted 6 more letters. It will be a while before I get them all done. At least today I was getting a few more posted. I have way to many letters to copy! I have them on a thumb drive so I have them all ready. It's getting there.

Now it's time to call it a day. So, I'm not going to be working on anything else. At least part of my day was almost Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

Had A Good Day

Guess yesterdays outing helped me, because I was in a pretty good mood. I have been getting a little teary eyed at times, but I'm getting through all this. It's hard when you have to stay home all the time.

I slept in today. Actually longer than Patrick. I really didn't want to get up, but I did. Once I was up and had breakfast, I was on the computer. I was surprised I didn't play games this morning, but I was wanting to get a few things done on the computer. I copied 4 letters for my other blog. Two of them were letters from my grandfather to my grandmother. He always called her "Kid" in the letters. Wish I knew where that came from or why he called her that. He was a good 10 years older than her, so maybe that was it. One of the letters seemed to be just before they eloped. He talked about getting a mattress and some furniture. It was interesting because he told her to get her cousin or someone else to bring her to him.

Once I finished that, I got off on getting some information on my genealogy. I had to write to a couple people. I also found that there was some questions popping up on one of my ancestors. I need to work on that information. I think what I had is from others. When I first got on ancestry, I copied other peoples information. Then I realized they didn't know who the line belonged to. I copied quiet a few and then had to go back and figure out why it was wrong and how to fix it, or delete it. This one I found today, I believe was one of those. I don't have the documented proof that I look for. So, I'm going to have to work on that ancestor to see what they heck I did wrong.

I decided I was done for now. I went and worked on the beading as well as cleaned the kitchen up and got laundry going.

I was able to get another 10 rows done. I'm now at 93/207 rows. It's really close to being half way! It's really coming along. I know Katt will like this. I'm just not sure why the background is black. I thought it should be water which is more blue.

After all that was done, it was time to call it quits and get to work on my cross stitching.

I pulled out the page for the right side. I need to fill in more, but the page goes down more. I need to roll this to work on the bottom half of the page. So, I went to the next page to get the right side going. I have a couple of angels to do.

So, the bottom part is where I'm working. There is more to go out toward the side. I'm holding my breath when it comes to how close I'm going to get to the side! I should have thought better before cutting the sides off. I think it will be okay, but I just freak out when it keeps going out toward the sides.

After all that, it's time to call the day done. It's another day that is over. It's another day of being home. It's just another day of being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

We Finally Got Out Of The House

Today started out early. We wanted to head to Tumwater for Costco. We hadn't been up there in awhile, so we planned a trip up there.

Off we went! We had 4 shopping lists for the trip. We shopped for our neighbor, mom, Phil, and us. We arrived early. We were in a line for a very short time. I don't think we had to wait more than 2 mins. They had the wall marked for where we had to stand. They wiped down the carts before they gave them to us. We got in and it wasn't very crowded. We did have a couple places were people were grouping up, but we were careful during those times. Patrick and I wear a mask. There was a 50% chance of people wearing masks. They did have more there then I have seen when we go to Safeway. After getting everything on the list (and then some), we headed home. First stop was moms, then Phil's and then putting the neighbors stuff in the garage. We the put all our stuff away.

It was about 1 pm by the time we got back home. I put stuff away, then opened my mail. I got my package of beads! These are the ones I got on eBay and were shipped a week after I bought them - go figure!

This was 30- 5gm bags! I really did get a good price for them. I ended up going through my beads and getting them into tubes - which I ran out of. So, I was able to put a couple in my bigger tubes, and then use the smaller tubes. But still didn't have enough. I filled a few tubes. I got my bead list up dated. It took a little bit but I'm doing good with keeping my lists updated. I know what I have and what I don't. When I use them, I take them off the list and then when I'm done, put what is left back on the list. I then ordered my beads from High Street Bead Company. I found the owner to be awesome! She's been beading for 20 years, and she told me I can ask anything I want from her! I'm so thrilled to have someone to chat with.

Then I went to get some beading done. The news was repeating again, so I put my headphones on and listened to a book while I beaded. I was able to get to 86/207 rows. Almost half way!

After a couple hours (maybe that long), I went to work on my cross stitching.

I was able to finish a couple "blocks" and work on more lines. Then I went and added some flowers where they go in the middle. It's going along pretty fast. I was able to get about an hour and a half in. It's coming along pretty good. I just have to figure out, at time, where I am compared to the pattern. I do like it. I just don't know what I'm going to do about outlining the flowers. I don't want to have the flowers disappear. Yet, then again, it's all seeming to disappear at times. I think the colors are too light and on a white background it gets lost. But at least I can see it across the room - so I guess it's not that light after all.

It was so nice to get out of the house! We wear the mask when we stopped at each person's place. It was nice to just get out. I was enjoying the rest of the day being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Guess The Days Are Running Together

Today I was up and looking for something to do. At first I thought it was Monday. After checking with Patrick, I realized it was Sunday. With having to stay at home, it's hard to keep my days straight some days.

I decided to work on my beading. I was able to get a couple rows in before having to bake the sourdough bread I made for the neighbors. We had cinnamon buns this morning. They needed to raise more the first time, but they did raise pretty good for the short time we had them raise the second time. They were awesome!

Patrick worked out in the yard for a little while. It was a really nice day. While he was there I was working on my beading. I called and talked to mom and Sherry. Both are doing good. I texted with Katt, and was surprised when I sent her a photo of the Polar Bear that she wanted it. Told her it's hers and it should be done by the time she gets here.

I'm now at 80/207. I worked 75 to 80 today. I wanted to get more but so much was keeping me busy. AND it was "off the grid" day!!

After baking the bread

and giving it to Teri. I got going on supper.

After supper, I went to work on my cross stitching.

I'm beginning to realize WHY I put this away! I ended up taking out that area in the blue. It took me an hour or more to get it out! I guess my cross stitch work is good, because it doesn't want to come out! Lucky me! I took it out in the afternoon, so when supper was over and it was time to cross stitch, I could get moving.

I replaced the mistake and then got moving on other areas.

I then worked on the angle on the left side. I'm now beginning to wonder if I cut too much fabric off the sides! I may end up with an inch and a half the way I'm going. It will be interesting to see what the right side looks like. I'm beginning to think this piece is one of those I should just chuck! Nah, I'll keep going. I also found a fish downstairs that my mother in law was working on. I'm almost thinking I should finish that too. I will see about it. If I keep coming across it, I will be getting to the point it needs to get done and out of my way. We'll see where that goes.

So, with not having the computer, tablet or anything else electronic, it is a little hard not to go and look information up, check my email, and see how things are going with life. I was lucky enough to be able to do my blog. So, the hard part is not to look at anything else and go to bed without playing a game. UGH.

It's a productive day. I was able to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Hello Saturday! Another Day Gone By....

Well, here we are back to Saturday. Not much has changed. Not much going on.

This morning I played a few games. It's going to be interesting tomorrow, as Patrick and I have decided to "go off the grid" with computers, tablets, and phone. We won't be doing anything on the net, but I will be doing my blog at the end of the day.

I went downstairs and got my two cross stitch pieces ready to go. I sewed the extra on the ends, then I put the smaller one on a frame. The bigger one will go on the frames I'm using for the precious moments piece.

The next thing I did was get working on my "Bead Tool 4" and bought the program. I then got to work on getting a pattern or two done for myself. I took a couple of photos that Katt had from San Diego. I'm going to have fun with this program. I've been looking at my photos to see what will work. Then Patrick suggested something (can't tell) and I made a pattern to do for Christmas. Next I went through and bought some beads. I'm working on buying beads from High Street Bead Company. I asked her about a couple beads I needed and what I could use instead. She had all but 3 of them.I was thrilled when she said 2 of them came in yesterday. She's looking for another one for me. If she gets them, then I'll have all the beads I need to make this. It's about 6 x 6". I hope it turns out right. It will go fast at that size.

After all that, and changing things up and starting over. I decided to get some sourdough going. I will give it to my neighbor. I will make some cinnamon rolls. I have those ready to go. They will raise over night and hopefully will be great. Usually the first raise is about 8 hours, but this one was only a couple hours.

Then I wanted to work on my cross stitch. I should have gone and worked on my beading, but I needed to get back to taking out all the outline stitches that were around the flowers.

It was one of those days were I TRIED to take out outlining stitches...carefully. Have you even done that?! Well, some of it was almost easy, the rest of it was pulling out some of the flowers. I was getting to the point that all of it is out, and I will have to probably go back and redo some of the flowers because they loved to fray! I guess you can say my stitches don't come out! I have a lot of trouble to get the stitches out......because they don't want to come out! At least that says I know how to cross stitch - enough so they have to be ripped out! What a pain....but once its over it feels a lot better and not frustrating. Then I can get moving again. I will get this done yet. It's taking a lot of my patience. I guess I have more patience then I thought! Still haven't figured out who's name is going in the bottom of the tree. It's going to be interesting. I'll figure it out one of these days.

It's Saturday and yet another day goes by. I will be busy working on stuff tomorrow, since I won't be working on the computer or tablet. It's going to be interesting what I get done. May be walking the floor for all I know. That will get my exercises that way! lol But yet I will still hope to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Not Feeling Like Doing Much... UGH

Today started out slow....and kept going slow.....

I decided to do some sourdough pretzels. AFTER I thought about going downstairs to work on some quilt blocks. I just couldn't get myself to go down there and work on stuff.

We watched "Perry Mason" - the old ones not the new ones. I do want to see the new ones though.

We baked the sourdough pretzels.

They turned out awesome! One of the better ones I've done.

Then I finally got myself to go downstairs, but I didn't do any quilting - I got a couple of my patterns ready to work on.

I put all the Mayflower floss together. It's all ready to go. Now I just need to add the attachment to the fabric to work on.

I also picked out the colors for the Salem piece. I'm going to work on that as well. I have the fabric, (which is the background) and worked on the floss. I didn't have all them in the DMC because I used them on another project. So, I pulled out my favorite floss and looked for the colors that would work. It turned out pretty good. May have to put them both together when the time comes.

Came upstairs and looked at the beading programs. I couldn't figure out the free one. It was a good program but it hasn't been updated since 2011. The other beading program was just as good and has a lot of videos showing how it works. I tried it out. Then when I wanted to save the picture I wanted to do, it wouldn't let me. THEN I saw if I wanted to save it or print it, I had to get the upgrade for $50. So, I'm thinking about it. I think I will buy it, I'm just glad it's not $200.

Then I called it quits and decided I better get back to my cross stitching.

I finished the page. I also took out the outlining stitches that I was using for the flowers. I didn't like it. It was took dark. I was thinking I will do the same outline stitches that I used on the angels. It will be better than using the outline that the flowers have. They are way too light. I may get it right yet. I may just wait and do those last. I haven't decided yet.

I'm still at the at "not feeling like doing much" stage. I need to get out of the house! I need to see friends! I need to get my butt going!! Hopefully I'll keep up with being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Another Quiet Day, As If That Will Change

Today was another day of the usual, I think. I did enjoy getting some cooking done.

I started out with laundry. Then I went to beading.

I had a row done when mom asked what I was working on. So, I sent her a photo and sent it to her. Then I got working on it, and realized I made a mistake around three rows back.

As I'm typing this, the internet went down. So, I'm going to keep typing and add the photos when it's back on.

The photo I'm hoping to add - is of all the beads I had to take out. It took a little while to put them back in. I decided to keep going and if I had more trouble I would quit.

I took chicken out for supper, and it was only 2 thighs. Patrick went to the store to get some more since I was frying chicken. I tried a new recipe on my tablet. It was buttermilk fried chicken. It turned out really good! Loved the crust! We have some left over and I love cold chicken, so that will be nice. I was disappointed that I didn't need to make gravy because the milk grave after frying chicken is awesome. We had corn on the cob with it.

Then I went back to add another couple rows on it. I really like the way it's coming along.

While Patrick was at the store, he got some bananas. He wanted me to try making some chocolate bananas.

They turned out really good. They are frozen. So, I'm actually trying a lot of new things. It's getting to be interesting. So far I've been fixing stuff that Patrick will eat. He's the picky one.

I'm still not quiet there for cross stitching. I've been thinking about the next project. I think I know now why I quit working on it for awhile. I'll get back to it soon. I just wish I had used another background piece. I think ti would have turned out better if it was a blue, black or green.

At least I'm able to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting/Happy Cooking!

Still Working On Keeping Busy

This morning was a good morning. I was up and moving around before Patrick. I do enjoy having time to myself. I know he wants time to himself at times. They's usually when he goes outside to the garage. I haven't been in the mood to go downstairs, so I haven't done that.

Today was a different story though. Sharon called to see if I had some quilts that needed quilted. I told her I did have one. Faye was going up tomorrow. She came to pick up the quilt as well as take Debbie's batting and backing for her 2 quilts. Looks like Bill is getting 4 quilts from our group. I was telling Faye it looks like we will be able to complete all our requests if everyone keeps going with quilts.

I decided I wanted to work on my beading. Sharon and I were talking about where we were on our beading. It got me wanting to get the Polar Bear done to start on the Snowman. I'm thinking about getting the Snowman started, so I can get get moving on it when it's time to work on it. Not there yet.

Got another 10 rows done. I actually thought I had more done then that. I was thinking I was closer to 15 rows. Oh, well, I'll try and get more tomorrow. It's now at 64/207 done. It's fun. I'm really enjoying this one. It's coming along great.

I decided I'm really not in the mood to do cross stitch tonight. So, I'm going to play a few games for a little bit and then plug my tablet in. Not sure what I will do when I do that. I'll check it out later when I'm in the mood to do something else. Who knows, I may go back and bead more.

It's getting interesting now. I'm starting to loose interest in my crafts. I need to keep going and I need to keep busy. The weather is a little "sad" as it's hazy. I enjoy the rain, but today it didn't help me. I'll work on getting myself "picked up." I should be laughing to keep my spirits up. I'll go look for a comedy movie or something.....or wake up in a good mood. lol - Tomorrow will tell. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the audio books and I'm still Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Back To Same Old Same Old

This morning I was up and enjoying a few minutes to myself. Then it was time to get some laundry in. Then it was time for mopping the floor and vacuuming. At least I got in some cleaning today.

Then I sat down and beaded most of the afternoon.

I was able to get 10 more rows done. I am now at 55/207. It's coming along great.

Then it was time for supper and I cooked. After that it was back to cross stitching.

I was able to connect the tree cloud to the top. I have a few more stitches to do to the cloud. I'm really close to having the top 2 pages done. Then I can finish the middle 2 pages. I need to add another angel in there as well. I did find where I did do the top flowers (outline) the way I was supposed to. I will leave it or go over it. Haven't decided yet. I wanted the flowers to show, I think, because I did the darker outline on them years ago as well.

We watched another movie. I'm getting a few movies in with this stay at home thing. I'm also getting a lot of my beading done as well. At this rate, I can start my snowman before too much longer. Guess that means I'm Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Off My Route....Oh, My!

This morning started to change the route today.

We started out with going to Safeway. We ended up buying a lot more then usual. We have been going once a week for groceries. Today we bought a few things that we don't usually buy. The aisle had a one way on them, but most of us were going the wrong way. I got us on track, but it was funny how many others didn't know about the one way. Then Patrick turns around in a aisle once in awhile. I couldn't believe it. Once we got it all, we stopped at Phil's to drop off a few things, a pick up some veggies from him. His garden is awesome and he's sharing. Once that was done, we went to moms and dropped off the 3 quilts, milk, and some fabric for Georgie. I need to send her a message and tell her. Then we came home.

Once all the food was put away, I worked on cutting up the bags.

Once I had them cut once, I took a break and then went to work on a Orange Meringue Pie.

Needed a cup of orange juice and we bought some oranges for that. I pulled out the old juicier we have had since I was a kid. That much was 1 orange! Only took 2 oranges to get the cup I needed.

I was able to get it all done. It turned out really good! I was thrilled my meringue worked out. Grandma would be proud! lol

After all that was done, I took care of my 65 tickets from Safeway. We didn't get much out of them. Then I went back to putting the plastic bags together.

I ended up with 2 huge rolls. I put them down there with the other 4 rolls I had down there. They aren't as much. Patrick was getting tired of my noise. That plastic gets crinkly and do make a lot of noise. I will need to work on getting this crocheted into bags. I am looking forward to seeing if it will work. It's called recycling. Guess I'm going a little overboard with it, but what the heck.

Then I was going to work on my beading.....till I realized what time it was. After doing my exercises, I got to work on my cross stitching.

Really didn't get much done, but I was working on the girl angel. I will have it done tomorrow. I'm sure.

It was really nice to have the route mixed up. Don't think it will change the "Ground Hog Day," but it was worth a try. I wish we didn't have those protests out there. I think they just messed us up and we will be starting all over. There is another wave that will go through and right now Lewis County is growing in numbers and deaths. I'm hoping it will stop soon. If everyone stays home it would help, but we saw way too many people out today. Yet we stay home except for one day a week to go to the store and drop stuff off at moms. Oh, well, time will tell.

In the meantime I'm still staying Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Starting To Feel Like "Ground Hog Day"

Remember that movie, "Ground Hogs Day?" That's what life has been feeling like lately. Get up, play games, do laundry, bead, cross stitch (or whatever), watch movies and then go to bed. Get back up and start all over again. All because we are "stuck" at home. I'm beginning to think Patrick is getting as tired of it as I am.

So, after games, I beaded.

The head is coming along nicely. I'm now at 43/207. I am really happy with this. It's coming along nicely. I may finish this at this rate. LOL

After I did that, I decided to join Patrick to watch TV. We watch a movie that was really good. I enjoyed it. He finally picked a movie to my kind of movies.

I finished one book on audio books and I started another. I'm getting a lot done.

I decided to start back at the top. So, I rolled the piece for me to work on the top. I had a few things that needed done I worked on the left side of the top tree. I am almost finished with the right side of the tree.

I need to add the halo's and put the shoes on the one under the cloud.

I really got a lot done. I did end up taking out part of the tree on the left. The second "cloud" area down, I took out about 3 times to get it right. I was getting frustrated. I couldn't count right. But once I got going then I could add the girl on the top. It will be awesome if I get this part done soon, because I don't have much to do to the section where I rolled it. I'll then get to work on the bottom part. So, surprisingly it won't take as long as I thought it would.

Patrick was just telling me the internet didn't like the song thing they had on TV yesterday any more then we did. I laughed. We watched about an hour and I think we only heard 3 songs we liked, but most of it was advertising. It wasn't a "pick me up" but a "put me down" thing. I liked the Disney show were they had you sing along. Now that was a good "pick me up." I know Lady GaGa meant well, but her show was a piece of crap.

Life is getting harder to be able to just stay home. I'm not going to protest, because I don't want to get the Virus. I'm not going to get together with others, because I don't want to get it. But it does tick me off when others don't care. They don't wear masks, they don't stay 6' away. They just don't care that they may have it and are sharing it. Life is hard. But I know we will get through this. I know that as much as I believed it when I was a kid overseas and we had to do without. There was a time in Turkey I had to do the same thing I'm doing now. Staying home. It went on for almost 4 months before we left. Dad watched over us to make sure we didn't get in trouble with the Turkish people. We had to be careful. We can get through this, I've done it before and it goes back to normal. We all can do this.......while I stay home, being Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Feels Like a Years Gone By......

It's been an interesting day. I sometimes think it's been forever since we were able to enjoy our times with friends. Patrick doesn't get to have coffee with friends, I don't get to go to meetings and enjoy my friends. It's only been a couple months, but it feels like a year has gone by. Yet I know it will be a good year before we will be safe again. It's going to be interesting where we go from here.

So, my day was working on trying to find something for dessert. Didn't have much luck. I did find a few things but of course we didn't have the supplies I needed to make them.

Then I got to work on my beading. Patrick went out to the garage and worked on his golf clubs. He put new handles on them. Reminded me of when he would make golf clubs and sell them when we lived in Pullman.

I was able to get another 6 rows in before Patrick wanted to watch a couple movies. He came in after Teri stopped by with some flour for me. I was thrilled. Now I don't have to try and look for more flour.

While we watched TV - 2 very old movies that were good! - I was able to get more cross stitching done.

I've changed the colors up a little. I added the red and black in the hair. My family has red heads as well as black haired family members. The red is in the left corner and the black is in the middle. I'll be adding more as I get working. I was able to get a page done.

This is the page I was working on. It's practically finished.

I then went and finished a few stitch on this page. Now it's done. So, at this rate, I have 2 pages done. I will think about how I'm going to put the names in later. I'll just get it all done first. I changed the outlines of the flowers. I decided to use the outline stitch for "other stuff" on the flowers as well. If I had outlined it with the colors it called for, it would be missed and you won't know there were flowers there. It's so much pastel that it gets lost in the viewing. So, I wanted to give it a pop to be seen.

It turns out that practically (now) very day is Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Got Busy Today!

This morning I slept in. Didn't have the best sleep last night. It was weird because my brain was thinking of my beading and cross stitch projects that I'm thinking of doing - NOT the projects I'm already working on!! Go Figure!

I got laundry going. I worked on getting the bedding cleaned up as well. I washed the quilt and blankets. The quilt and one of the blankets was enjoying the clothes line. It will smell better, which means I need to take my allergy medication tonight so I can sleep without getting a headache.

I worked on my YouTube! I got another video done about my beading. I decided to answer some of the questions people had about what and how I bead. So, I showed a lot of that. I even showed a few of my patterns. I had done one, Patrick came to the door, and I ended it. Then I decided I didn't like the way I ended it and I didn't like my hair, so I changed and tried again. It's up now.

After finishing the video, I got back to working on my beaded Polar Bear. If you look closely, the head is showing on the right side. So is the ear. It's coming along. I have done 29/207 rows so far. It's showing up a little yellow. I may have to find a better place to take a photo of it.

It was time to sit and enjoy some TV with Patrick. So, I sat down and Sophie showed up. When I pulled out my cross stitch, she left. I was able to get a good hour and a half in. I also had to take some of my stitching out again. I got off again. I'm now back on track and close to having the page done.

I have a "tail" on the left, where the page ends. I can add more later. I got busy with putting the yellow flowers in. I notice you really can't see the flowers that I was adding. Oh, well, I'll take a closer photo tomorrow after I add more and finish the page.

Patrick took my mixer apart and is working on it. The oil started dripping and he's learning how to repair it. If it gets repaired we will probably give it to Katt. He bought me a brand new one that came in yesterday. I really like it. It's not as heavy as mine, but mine is bigger. I really liked my mixer, but it's about 20 years old. I hope he can fix it for Katt. It's a really good mixer and would hate to see it be added to the trash.

So, I enjoyed having the day to myself - part of it. I was thrilled to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

What A Day!

This morning, Patrick and I decided it was time to do spring cleaning in our bedroom. We generally do that about once or twice a year. It really didn't look like we did it in a LONG time. I couldn't believe how much dust come out of that room! It was so dusty I was wearing a mask. The dust was on my dresser (it's tall) and my stuff animals. I vacuumed the stuff animals. We moved the bed and got under there, took the window out and washed that, plus got the curtains cleaned. It was a good couple hours of cleaning. It lightened the room and felt good to have the room cleaner again.

I bought some fabric for the Mayflower piece. I wanted the right color. I'm not sure if I got it, but I will decide when it comes down to it. I also bought some peyote beading patterns. One is Mickey and Minnie! I love those!!

After all that, I was working on my genealogy. I got a few more names added, looked a few more names up and watched my tree grow. I was able to get a few more names to Patrick's tree as well. It's been awhile.

I was baking bread today that turned out awesome.

I made them into smaller rolls. This would be awesome as a soup bowl.

Then we went to McD's for supper. It was okay. The fries was really good and hot, but the rest of it was not. I actually didn't eat it all.....which for me is something!

We watched the sing a long with Disney tonight. So, I was able to get some stitching done.

I took out that area in the circle. Then I got moving on replacing it with the right cross stitching.

It's in the lower left side. I've gotten that part replaced and kept moving down the page. I need to add a few flowers to the page and then I'll be done with page 3. At least I was Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Looking For The Next Project

This morning was a quiet morning. I was working on laundry (doing a better job then yesterday).

Then I got to work trying to decide what I wanted to do next. Then I remember hearing Sophie in my closet, where she was into something. I decided to clean out the side of my closet that has my cross stitch bars. There I found my Precious Moments book and pattern for the Precious Moments Family Tree that I worked on back in the 80's or 90's. I wanted to do the tree for my kids.

I found she had ripped a couple of the pattern pieces. Oh, crap. I can still use one of them and I was smart enough to make more than one copy of the pages. So, I went looking for the piece to work on. I then took off the piece I was going to do from yesterday.

So, decided to get the Family Tree done first. Then I posted on Instagram this photo and the photo of the Mayflower. I asked everyone to choose which one they wanted to see me working on. I'll check it again in a day or two to see what I'll be doing. So far it looks like it will be the Mayflower first and Santa second.

Of course, Sophie had to be in on my picking and putting stuff together!

Once all that was decided, I went to work on my beading.

I was able to get a good 6 rows done. I'm around the 23rd row. It's coming along faster now that I changed the bead that was breaking. I'm so happy I did that!

Then I went to work on the Family Tree piece.

I was able to add the clouds on the left.....but I have to take that section out! I made a mistake and it's not lining up. I found the mistake in the top cloud to the left of the center cloud. So, that line on the left, is coming out tomorrow! I did get more done tonight though. I worked on the center area.

I also got my sourdough going for bread tomorrow night. I can't wait! I love my sourdough bread. Trouble is, I need to find more flour! They haven't had it in the stores when I go.

It's been a good day of Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

Tree Lighting Event

Yesterday was one of those days, that when I got home, I went to bed.  It started out with going grocery shopping and stopping to visit wit...
