This morning Patrick reminded me that he wanted his golf cover fixed. So, I knew I would have to go down and sew it up. He gave it to me over a month ago, and I really didn't want to "mend" it.
I made our cheese pie today. It's an easy recipe. I take cream cheese, beat it. Then add Cool Whip and beat it more. I add a little sugar (1/4 cup) and work that in as well. Once all that is done, I pour it into the pie crust - graham cracker. Then I put some blueberries on top. I cooked the blueberries to make a sauce. Usually I buy a can of cherries to pour over it. I like the blueberries. The cans for pie filling is more expensive, so I make my own.
Then I went downstairs while Patrick went to the dentist. I pulled out a few things to work on. I put a few things away. Then I sewed a couple blocks for the variation 9-patch. I wanted to work on a few of the QOV quilts again. I really wasn't in the mood to work on them, so didn't get much done.
I set up some pieces to sew for half square triangles. I have 4 sets ready to be sewn. As I was about to do it, Patrick asked if I was going to get supper in the oven or if I wanted him to do it. Figured I better do it.
Of course Sophie wanted to give me some lip about it. She wouldn't let me take my photos for this blog!
I figured I had 3 different sizes in that box! I was getting lost! I had to rethink what size I needed to do the blocks. My mind could not figure out a 2 1/2" unfinished half square triangle needs to go with a 2 1/2" unfinished square!! What in the world was going on?! I have done this for years, and then today, I had no clue what sizes I was working on and what size it needed to be! UGH I was trimming the half square triangles that were done. I still have a big stack but they are all the same color. So, I really do need to get more color combos to have this work out.
Came back upstairs. I needed to take a break. I will try and do more this weekend. At least I was Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!
