Got Behind - Finishing A Quilt Top - Starting Another

Yesterday I wasn't thinking about getting my blog done. Go figure.

I walked with Ron and then came back in to get lunch. After lunch, Patrick and I went downstairs. I wanted his help on what to do with the 2 quilt tops I am working on.

First things first. I needed to finish this quilt top. Patrick picked the blue and red for this and it actually looks better than I though it would. Once this was done, I got working on the next one.

We wanted to give it character because I hate quilts that have plan borders to finish something off. We talked about using the aqua color for the water in the panel but at the same time I wanted to make it patriot. It's hard to add a red, white and blue part to it.

We decided to work it this way. I actually cut the aqua and blue strip too short, so I had to add another strip of blue on the side. After getting this far I called it quits. I will work on it later today.

I had to finish this quilt. The binding is one and ready to be done. I need to add the label and then it will really be done. Now it's time to see if today will be as much fun as yesterday by being Happy Quilting/Happy Stitching!

You are very close to completing those lovely quilt projects.
Great to hear that the quilt isn't done until the label is on.

Labels are important. Funny how I make sure the labels are on the QOV quilts, and my own quilts don't get labeled like they should. Thanks for your comment. - Lynn
